Post here any pictures of your band or links to your music, such as myspace bands.

Here's my band:

Slouching Tiger ( formally knows as Taking the Micheal)

I know it doesn't sound amazing, but it was our first try on that songs and only our second practice as a group.

Feel free to add us on myspace biggrin

Not bad for the second practice. A bit rough, but a little practice goes along way. cool

It took me a little digging around but all I found were some old samples from my old band New Moon Insanity. For proper reference, I play guitar on the song "La Grange" and trumpet on "Grazing in the Grass". The rest, I play mah bass. smile I know these are all covers, but i'll see about getting some original stuff up as I dig through my many good/bad song files. razz

EDIT: One more thing, if my account doesn't let you download any files from it, then i've probably gone over my limit for the day and you'd have to wait 24 hours to listen in as im only allowed 25 MB of daily downloads from my site so yeah, please don't be too rough on my account. biggrin

I like the trumpet one. I would like to be in a bad where I can play a both bass and mi trombone. What did you use for recording it sounds wonderful.

The people at Poor Michael's have these professional microphones hooked up to an apple computer and I think they used Garageband and they did the recordings for us. I don't play my trumpet that much on original stuff, but when there is some old song like Tequila that just begs for a trumpet part, I gladly step forward. razz

Those songs are amazing! They're recorded so well aswell.

That's the main problem we have, at the moment all we have to record with is a webcam microphone which is terrible at picking up sound and distorts the drums.

If there is one thing I learned, its that Mac computers are really great for multi-media projects, be it music, animation, etc. First chance you can get one, id high recommend it. cool

I know how that feels about the crappy recording equipment, back when I first joined a band, we had to record with one of those giant 80s style video cameras. The picture was crude, there was lots of white noise interference and worst of all, it hardly picked up any sounds from the bass. Heck right now, stuff out from my garage still doesn't sound as great as these recordings, for the fact that im running microphone, through a mixer amp/head and back down into a cassette player/recorder. It's still only a homemade karaoke machine at best. smile

The drummer's now found a mixer tape player that we may try out, though it only has two inputs which may make things difficult.

You can never hear the bass on our other songs either unless theres a special bass part like 'Hella Good' which we recorded.

Heh.. yeah.. lousy crappy recording equipment and its discriminatory nature against all us bass lovers. cool
