Though her office lies on the seventh floor, on the first level of the hogwarts castle is the Muggle Studies Classroom, taught by none other than our very own Kiri Hurst. The room is as flamboyant as it's teacher, coverd in posters each with a bit of a different culture. The desks and chairs have been taken out and replaces with couches and clipboards, places in a square shape with their teacher usually standing and preaching from the middle. The blackboard is still in the year, being permedent, but its barely used. Instead the teacher usually projects images on the cealing, allowing the students to lay on the floor to watch the images and information play out above them. Though the classroom is much more layed back then any other you'll find, but the students enrolled have been known to do well. This is because with Professor Kiri, there is never a dull moment, so you can't help but pay attention.

"All right, now I know how boring this is but you must bare with me. I have to go threw a quick history of the base of the British muggle culture structure before we can get started." Kiri announced for the 5th time that day, this time to her third year Hufflepuff and Gryffindor class. It earned her a disappointed 'awe' around the classroom. "Hey, don't blame me, it's not my fault it's a requirement. I promise you that this will be the only boring week here for the quarter, then we get into the fun stuff. Just bare with me, got it?" She ended with a slight edge to her voice. Combined with her punk outfit and various piercings, the menacing voice sent a nervous air around the classroom. The frightened midgets quickly nodded, making their dominatrix teacher grin. "Good laddies. Now, the inportant stuff all started back in 1720 with the Bubble Act- Yes, I said bubble- that made all the shipping companies act on a royal charter. But, this failed for stupid reasons that are besides the point and I don't really want to get into, so lets move on." Kiri piped along, making sure not to drone as she fast-forward threw history. After having napped until the first class bell rang, Kiri grabbed her paper work and jumped down a small vent she had installed in the castle walls. It lead straight from her room to the center of the ceiling, allowing an easy and quick drop off threw the seven floors she would have had to decent. She wanted to make a good impression however, so she activated her tattoo to project the hallogram of wings spreading out as she landed on the classroom floor. It earned her major kudos from her first class, which was to be expected. The rest of the day had been uneventful however, since she ate lunch in her classroom and this week was the boring criteria. "And now, the Muggles are set with a representative democratic monarchy, framed by a parliamentary, and much like our Ministry's very own system. But, I'm not payed to be the History teacher here, so that's quite enough of that if you ask me!" The spunky teacher exclaimed. "I've come rather bored of droning on all day, and after 20 solid minutes of me blabbing, how would you like a break?" The students cheered, suddenly awake again. "All right then, Up an Adam!" She responded with enthusiasm, motioning for the students to stand up. "Now, I'd like you to do a little work out rutien from the Japanese Muggle culture called 'rajio taisÅ'..."

Kiri had been back in the class room for a good half an hour or so, and having a lovely fantasy about a certain valupteous brunnette. Unfortunatly, that bubble was poped when one of her 6th years students raised their hands to ask about some minisqual war in the 1940's. "Higgens, I already told you, what I just blabberd about isn't as important as the education board says it is!" Kiri blinked, not realizing what she said until it was already out. Quickly, she put in "Not that I'm saying anything against or deminashing anything the Ministry says or claims, and all rights are to be presurved to the JKR publishing fund!" The class stared at her blankly and she nervously tried to laugh it off. This was going to be a long day...

The bell chimed in the distance, and Kiri's heart leaped as she rememerd that she was now on break. "Alright kiddies, be gone with you!" Kiri announced from the center of the room. They left in a flury of robes, and Kiri collapsed on a sofa. "Ahh, comfy..." She purred, already begining to dose.

Chad left the third floor in a good mood. After being told that Karen Hurst, another member of the faculty, was on break, he decided to go visit her because of his impromptu 'expulsion' from the Hospital Wing. Finding the Muggle Studies teacher's classroom, he rapped on the door nervously. Looking to make another friend and some warm conversation, he hoped he wasn't bothering Karen, who seemed to be resting on a sofa, with her eyes closed.

Kiri blinked, hearing the rapping on the door and let out a groan. "Kiddies, I told you I'm on break! I can quiz you on the life story of Adolf Hitler later~." She whined loudly, but none the less rolled off the side of the sofa. She got up, dusted off her tatterd tanktop and waltzed to the door. "Coming~" She sung, opening the door and leaning on the open frame lazily. She opened one lethargic eye then blinked in surprise as she noticed who it was. "Oh! Greetings Potion Masta'!" She said chipperly and swung the door open. Unfortunatly she forgot to let go of the handle, so she spun as the knob hit the inside wall of the classroom. Quickly recovering from her faulter, she opened her un-occupied arm in welcome. "I would invite you to my office, but I fear that's seven floors above us so the classroom shall have to do!"

"Great," Chad said to the welcoming woman. "Your brother sent me down here because he knew you were on break. I didn't have anything to do, so I thought I'd pay you a visit since we haven't had much of a chance to talk. As you probably know, I'm Chad..."

Rain burst into the room as psycho as ever. "Kiri!! I can't find that new faculty member for the life of me!" As she moved into the room paying no attention to her surroundings whatsoever she ended up slamming into Chad sending them both to the floor. "Oh my god, I'm so sorry I didn't expect someone else to be here! I'm sorry about earlier, I didn't introduce myself properly. I'm Elizabeth, but I hate that name so everyone but my students calls me Rain. I'm also a bipolar veela." She stood and looked at Kiri. "Isn't it great Kiri the people at St. Mungos said I'm bipolar!"

Chad couldn't help but laugh at the frantic entrance of Rain, the slightly unpredictable woman he had just had a not-so-endearing encounter with. Composing himself after their collision, he responded to her unexpected apology. "Right, no need to apologize," he said delicately to the woman, obviously taking a varied approach, "I wasn't aware of your sensitivity. I should be the one apologizing." He looked at the brunette, who stood nearly a foot shorter than him. A bi-polar veela? And diagnosed at St Mungo's? 'She'll prove to be an interesting colleague...' he thought. In the wake of recent events, it wasn't the first time that day that he had had that thought. However, this time, he thought it with a grin. "Nice to meet you, I'm Chad."

Domini poked her head into the room, her black hair swinging around her face. "Am I interrupting anything?" She brought her full self into the room and plopped down on one of the couches. It was then that she noticed that Chad was in the room. She smiled. "Oh, hello Chad." She chirped. She was in a considerablely better mood than earlier, having released her emotions, or in other words, cried for an extended period of time. In fact, there were still faint tear stains on her cheeks.

"Hey Dom! Feeling all better?" Chad asked, pleasantly surprise at seeing Dom again. "Decided to come visit a special somebody?" Chad gave Dom a teasing look and then averted his eyes inconspicuously to Kiri, identifying who he was speaking of.

Kiri blinked, a flury of happenings appearing before her before her boisterous self could cetch up. Chad was on the floor, Rain was on him and just came out of the 'closet of graduated insanity' and had Dom just collapsed on her couch- had she been crying? The sense of overwhelming only lasted for a moment though as Kiri calmly snaped out of it and adressed every issue with a charming ease. " So lovely to be formaly introduced Chad and I would humbley return the gesture but I fear you have a sanity deprived veela on your back- which by the way I congradulate you for the acheivement! You are now officially part of the emotionally-screwed clan including myself and the glittering ******** that are Alair and Draco. You deserve a cookie." Kiri bent over and lifted Rain to her feet by her elbow. As for Dom and the sugestive comment Chad had made, it sent a grin to the flamboyant teacher's face. She saunterd over to the couch, completely forgetting the other two in the room and leaning over the back of the furniture so her mouth was a few inches from the woman's ear. "As for you. Your 'glow' tells me that you're chipper now, but what about that trail of dried tears I see? It's a shame to see such a lovely sight damperd by trivial injustaces." She spoke the whole while with a seductive glow in her eyes.

Dom stuck her tounge out at Chad at his comment. "Perhaps. But how would you know which special someone I came to visit?" She retorted. She snuggled back against the couch just as Kiri sauntered up behind her. She looked up at the Muggle Studies professor and smiled. "Yes, I was crying, Kiri. But I'm better now. I was just talking to Chad a while ago and something that came up made me a bit.....upset." She summed up, hoping Kiri wouldn't assume that it was Chad who made her cry. "I'm not so sure being bipolar is that good for a veela, Rain."

Kiri nodded in understanding, sending a glare to Chad the second she herd he brought up something painful but kindly rememberd not to jump to conclusions and called herself off silently. She chuckled at Dom's comment. "Yes, probably not but that's what makes this school so insanely amusing. We're all phsychotic in out own, special little way." She said with appropriot melo-dramatic hand gestures and a devious grin at the end of her sentament. In one slick movement she turned so her back was to the back of the sofa and flipped backwards onto the couch. Her head stuck to the coushion directly next to Dom's thigh, before the rest of her body tipped -unfortunatly- away from the other woman and flopped on the seat of the couch. "So~ bored~" Kiri sung allowd in a very immature matter.

Chad witnessed Kiri's long address and smiled. The articulate woman was absolutely histerical. Hearing Dom's retort, a thought went through Chad's mind, but he decided to say nothing as he watched the flirtatious behaviour before him. "So, Kiri, it's obvious you like Dom. When are you two going to officially become an item?" Chad asked bluntly, trying to introduce some drama to the conversation.
