Chances are, someone might've come across my screen name weeks ago, but now, that same person might react as if I were new again. Yes, it's that time of month again, maybe happening bi-monthly or so, I get tuned out of Gaia, usually because of new interests, or just because I get tired of sharing my views and opinions, and just wanna sleep.
But it's a double edged sword. I want pixel stuff! But goddammit, why do I have to waste half my day to bring my funds up by about 500g?
Oh well, I'm just tuned out now because I've been downloading anime recently. Sooner or later, I may come crawling back.
Have you been tuned out lately, or maybe for myself to know, what brings you back for more? I once thought it were item updates, but maybe its because I was underwhelmed by them this month. They're not bad, but they weren't enough to bring me back as they usually do. That, or referring back to what I already said, I'm chronically poor on Gaia.

Dunno. Some sites keep me coming back for more for a long time. Sometimes it's a matter of "I put a lot of work into it, I don't want to abandon all of that effort."
On Gaia, I find myself sticking around because if I get too pissed off with one area of the site, I can find completely different people in another area. If I get sick of the exchange, there's the Q&A. If the Q&A pisses me off too much, I can always poke my nose into another forum. Then there's guilds.
I find myself in a similar boat; pixel stuff rocks, but unless I sell something really expensive, the rate of my gold increase is pretty lousy. Right now, I'm under 1k for the first time in ages. xp

I have a friend with nearly twice as much stuff and gold on Gaia as me, but she's litteraly glued to Gaia and the exchange like 24/7. She joined nearly a month after me, but she has everything a newbie could want xp including a mess of '03 donation items, and recently, an angelic sash! eek

The only reason I have '03 items is because I was here to get them when they came out; I'm much too lazy to quest. For all I can spend hours on the site every day, I have no patience for bumping a thread or minding a shop. Hell, I'll probably be quitting my "Smartassed Gaians" quest simply because the PMs I've been getting have started to irritate me more than amuse me. sweatdrop
I like a lot of the people I run into on Gaia; that is, individuals who can express themselves clearly. It's always a joy to randomly meet someone who acts like a fairly decent person, and talk to them for a few minutes about something completely pointless.
As boring as it is to repeat one's self, I find there are some conversations I can have over and over again with many different people.

This guild. Well, no, but pretty much. I mean, it's just meeting people like the ones I meet in here that I come back.
I like the outfits, but they aren't really a huge deal or anything. I like to deck my guy out in something cool, but at the end of the day I could care less about how he looks.
Mostly, I go on it for the reason I'd go on any forum. One or two thoughtful conversations, a handful of cool people, and some really amusing phrases/pictures/moments that make me laugh.

I'm here like an hour or so a day or every other day just to make a few wise-a** comments here and there.
Where do you pirate your anime from?

From when I first joined back in July 2003 up 'til August 2004, I was on Gaia every chance I got because, well, I had nothing better to do. The people, forums, and items had me coming back. Then my boyfriend moved to my college and he became top priority along with a batch of new friends.
I'm not on Gaia -as- much but I still come back to check up on what's going on with everything. And I'll admit, the biggest reason why I didn't justleave completely was because of the items. sweatdrop I've been here much too long to just drop all my hard work...and I'm a collector of event and donation items so it just drags me back. I've also found that my guild really needs me and it wouldn't be the same if I just packed up and left them. I was there when my guild was nothing but a thread of 41 pages way back when in 2003. I also put too much into that place to ever leave it completely.

The only thing really keeping me on Gaia is worrying that if I go, I'll miss something.
It certainly isn't the people keeping me here for the most part.

This guild and my quest keep me on Gaia a lot more than I really should be. In some cases I like the people I meet but most of the times I actually don't. And pixelated clothing totally rocks my socks.

I have no idea what you're talking about ninja I simply find them personified, lying around, with no one around to lose it, so I merely pick it up, and take it home... from animesuki.com
