The Katamari series is one of those extremely odd ones from Japan, created by a man who admittedly hates most video games and plays very few (if any of them).

The games tell the story of a young prince attempting to rebuild/replace the stars and planets destroyed by the main characters'...er..."loving" father, The King of All Cosmos. To do this, you roll around a giant ball (the Katamari) colecting various objects, animals, buildings, gods, people, continents, and pretty much anything else conceivable.
