- You find a parchment of paper. All it reads is an address and information to what appears to be a bank account. How do you, as the Owner, react? Find your way to the Past Legacies Corp. building.

Interpert this in anyway you please.

Note: This portion is to be ignored when the RP is transcribed into your Record. -

"10809 Old Gambino Drive."

The gaian known as Minyain was standing outside the listed address, his head craning upward as he examined the building. "Well," he mumbled to himself, "this must be the place."

His eyes darted down to the paper he held in one hand. It was a simple paper, nondescript, with very few words. Still, it puzzled him.

Such an odd memory, how the paper had come into his possession...

He hadn't even known he had a great-great-great-uncle twice removed, or whatever he had been, until just a few days ago. He'd received a strange visit from a man in a nice suit who looked like a lawyer. The man had said that Minyain was the sole member of the Blackfist line, the last remaining blood relative, and as such he was entitled to the family holdings.

Which were, apparently, being held in this very building.

Minyain felt a lump rising in his throat. He supposed it was his heart.

Family holdings! The man hadn't said how much or what it was. "What could it be?" Min thought, his eyes darting from the paper to the building again. "What if it's... millions?"

Taking a breath and calming his nerves, Minyain opened the door of the Past Legacies Corp and walked inside. His golden eyes gleamed in anticipation of what was to come!

A figure laid strewn across a couch in the well air-conditioned building. An arm lying across his eyes to block the light while the other arm and a leg dangled off the side of the couch. His chest rose and fell evenly as he napped.

Prosper Reed had sent out the last of the tags for the time being and he had just finished the paper work for the contracting Accounts. Now the young man was resting, having given up his sleep to make sure everything was done as it should be. In perfect order.

Though asleep, he was very aware of the time. It was almost time, but he didn't quite feel like getting up. It was so just so comfortable to relax for even a few more minutes.

Minyain took a moment to absorb his surroundings as the door closed behind him with a soft whoosh of air. This place didn't strike him as a typical bank... there were no annoying signs on the wall to "lower your APR!!!" or other such nonsense. No glass windows with tellers. No bowls of complementary candies. It looked sort of... living-roomish. Quite rich, too. Min felt his heart rising into his throat again.

But who was the man sleeping on the couch, anyway? Min didn't really want to bother him, but he was practically bursting with curiosity at this point. So he approached the young man and cleared his throat. "A-hem... ahh... sorry to bother you, but do you happen to work here?"

Prosper brought his hand down, rubbing his eyes as he slowly brought himself up to a sitting position. He covered a yawn as he turned towards the new arrival. Quickly he stood up, fixing his hair and he gave the other man a silly smile.

"Please excuse my appearance. It appears that I must of drifted off." He took out a silver pocket watch, after glancing at it he replaced it in his pocket. "You're right on time."

Holding out his hand, he began his introduction, "I'm Prosper Reed and welcome to Past Legacies Corporation."

"Right on time? But..." Min trailed off; he shook his head lightly as the thought continued in his mind. "I only decided to come here a little while ago..."

Curiouser and curiouser.

Not one to be rude to a stranger, Minyain accepted Prosper's outstretched hand and shook it with a firm grasp. "I'm Minyain Black, pleased to meet you. So... I'm guessing I'm in the right place." As he released Prosper's hand, he reached into his pocket and withdrew the slip of paper with the cryptic account number and key name.

"I'll be honest, though... I have no idea what this is about! I didn't even know I had any living relatives. What exactly is this place, anyway?"

The young manager gave an understanding smile, "We are a bank specializing in safety deposit box accounts for specific families. And that," nodding towards the tag in Minyain's hand, "is the tag for your Account.

"Your Account was created by an ancestor of your's. Perhaps you know of your family history or not, but either ways someone in your family qualified to have an Account made and eventually one was created." Prosper gave an apologetic smile, "I would give you more information but I cannot do so until you have accessed the safety deposit box in question."

There was a moment of silence as Minyain processed this information. It was all still bouncing around in his head like a rubber ball. "An ancestor?" he said finally, scratching his forehead quizzically with one finger. "Just how long has this Past Legacies place been in operation, anyway?"

He tried to quickly fit together what he knew of his family history -- which was largely just bits and pieces -- but everything was a jumble. "I still don't really understand, but maybe I'll get it once I see this deposit box." Min's smile widened into an excited grin as the prospect of riches returned to the forefront of his mind.

"Past Legacies has been up and running for a few centuries. We have, of course, made rennovations to follow the modern times and take advantage of the latest technology."

Prosper then pointed Minyain towards the counter in the far back of the room where a young woman stood ready at attention. The manager walked around the counter to stand beside the young woman, turning towards the front so that he could face the Owner.

"If you would please hand the tag over to Ms. Veronica Cash over here then she shall retrieve the Key to your Account for you. Please memorize the information on the tag before you hand it to her though, the information will be vital in accessing your safety deposit box."

Min followed, a slight bounce in his step. He was gonna be rich, he could just feel it!! His whole life was about to change!!

(...little did he know...)

"Alrighty..." Minyain looked down at the paper again, then realized it was upside-down and nervously turned it around the right way. He concentrated on the numbers, hoping his excitement wouldn't ruin his memory. This was important, after all. So very important.

After a moment he looked up at Prosper, then at the lady named Veronica Cash, and he blinked. Then he held the paper out to Ms. Cash. "I'm ready!" he proclaimed.

The young woman accepted the piece of parchment with a smile before bowing her head to begin bringing up the necessary information to finding the Key. A mechanical motor sounded faintly as a metal box was brought up from hidden mechanic built into the counter. It had the word Cholla carved on the lid. Veronic placed the box on the counter top, displaying the Key to Minyain.

While the assistant manager worked on getting the Key, Prosper began shuffling papers. He hated paper work and there was always so much to do when an Account was being accessed though he thank whatever gods that Accounts were rarely created now a days.

Minyain grinned at Veronica as she put the box down in front of him... then he grinned at Prosper Reed. Then he looked down at the box...

Cholla?

The slightest look of perplexity crossed Min's face. Still, with almost childish enthusiasm, he reached for the box and ran his fingers over it. He flipped the box open.

Laying inside was a small brown bag. It looked worn and nearly threadbear, and it had been long-since painted with sigils of some kind, in red. Minyain's brow furrowed, and he reached inside to pick it up carefully by one leather cord.

"Ahh.. this is.... interesting." He glanced at Prosper. "Is the key inside?"

He rubbed the pouch with his fingers, and he could feel a few small objects inside... but they didn't feel like the type of key he was envisioning. They felt like stones or marbles or something.

Prosper looked up from the pile of papers he had accumilated within the minutes that had passed. His crystal blue eyes fell on the Key and shrugged his shoulders.

"That is your Key. It is your responsibility to figure out how it works, Mr. Black."

During the breath that it had taken to say the small reply, the blonde woman had removed the box and replaced it from which where it had come from.

As the Veronica began her portion of paper work, Prosper had gone around the counter. He was leading the other young man over to where a Micah Smith, the head of security, stood imposingly in front of a door.

"If you are ready, I can take you into the vault room now so that you may access your Account."

"Don't you guys keep records on this stuff?" Min asked... not rudely, but inquisitively. He wasn't used to any sort of "bank" that operated in such a manner. A funny feeling was forming in Minyain's stomach, but he tried to pay it no heed.

He looked toward Veronica before following Prosper. "Thank you, miss." As he heard his guide mentioning the vault room, Min's eyes lit up again. "Yeah, I'm ready! I can't wait, in fact!"

Surely this was all about to make sense!

Apologetically, Prosper replied, "I'm sorry but are only contracted to keep the Heirloom secure, not to know how to access it."

A smile crossed the manager's face at the excitement of the other young man and led him into the vault room. A plain and simple room with a table and chair in the center of the room. The only thing that may have differed it from any other room was the touch pad connected to a conveyer belt with a mechanical arm.

"You'll be required to input the Account information into the touch pad. After which the safety deposit box will be retrieved. You may have as much time as you wish to open the box and once you are ready to leave this room please knock on the door three times and the guard will let you out." Turning to leave, Prosper grabbed the door knob then added over his shoulder, "There is an security system that will go off if you make even the slightest mistake. Good luck."

With that Prosper closed the door, leaving Minyain Black to his own thoughts.
