Okay! So I was bored one day and I watched the english Naruto episode something, and I realized again how much the english version sucks in my opinion. For Naruto, it's japanese or nothing.
Talk about the dubbings for other shows, I guess.

Yeah the english naruto is kinda bad.. I mean naruto keeps say believe it and thats just.. annoying to put it nicely..

His voice is also just... bleck. Actually all of the voices are bleck. But the whole 'Believe it!' gets annoying. I can handle 'Dattebyo' or whatever, but ugg... believe it believe it BELIEVE IT!

In the Naruto game I have, sadly it's the dubbing, but I kick major a** in it so you know, I don't care. Anyway, Naruto was shouting 'Believe it' and my cat actually hissed and backed away from the television, and I was laughing so hard I hit my foot on the glass table and cut my heel open. Then before that my mother was looking at me like I was on drugs. ^-^

Generally, all dubbing into English or Chinese sucks rly rly bad........T.T maybe cuz the japanese voices r just soooo much more awsome ^^

Well I think it's just that since the Japanese version is the original they already have characters sound a certain way so when the it comes to dubbing it they try and pick people that have a contract with their company that sounds as close as possible. But they just can't get it as close as they want to because the people that would sound like the Japanese voice works for another company so they can't call them up and tell them to come and do this voice. The only other reason people would complain is because translating Japanese to English is hard so words that mean one thing over there don't mean the same thing over here so they have to try and find something that sounds close. And they have to rearrange the words because it isn't a straight translation. So the English version doesn't sound like everyone wants it too but at least the ADR directors try. And it isn't easy They complain a lot because they try as hard as they can to make it make sense and to keep it the same as the original so everyone likes it. ninja ninja ninja

Not all dubbing is bad though. Full Metal Alchemist did a great job for one. Also, if you've ever seen FLCL or Excel Saga, they voices in that were pretty good.

Yeah Flcl did a good job but I don't know I think FMA could have had some better voices at times..

The FMA dub was mostly good, but I REALLY dislike Envy's voice.
