GAH! I just bought the manga YUGIOH! vol 14 Duelist, and on page-well I dont know what page, but just started to laugh out loud after Kaiba said "Arent we an odd pair. Here I am walking shoulder to shoulder with the man I swore would be my lifelong rival" sweatdrop After reading a yoai story about SxY, it seemed funny. I dont usally read those kind of storys, but once in a while, boredom will do that to me. Besides, I like YxJ better. More humor. xd

Haha, you would think that, but no. I basicly like yugixjoey, and straight pairings. sweatdrop there arent too many of those anymore. I read puppyshiping, but only if the story is breathtakingly unbeavliably good. rolleyes I am sorta picky.

At least those are fairly easy to find. I love kleptoshipping (Yami no Bakura x Yuugi), and they're pretty hard to come by. gonk Why couldn't I have kept darkshipping/casteshipping as my favorite? But I digress.
The manga's really weird. XD I think my favorite part of Battle City is when Kaiba's duel disk is given a chastity belt, though. XDD Mainly because, I thought they were going to put it on Kaiba himself at first. I still died laughing, of course. 'Kaiba: You put a chastity belt on my Blue Eyes! scream Yami no Yuugi: O.oU *can only imagine why Kaiba's that upset about the situation*' My mind's in the gutter... sweatdrop

Sounds like an interesting part of the manga xd
I've never really been one for "odd" pairings. sweatdrop Like pairing that are harder to see with each other (i.e. Y. Bakura, Yugi) I've more of a KxJ, YxYY, JxY fan (based on the pairings that were listed here). And I keep hearing about the 'Chastity belt'. What exactly does that mean again? sweatdrop *naive* xd

Chastity belts were supposed to keep women from having sex. When used on duel disks, they just keep it from dueling.
For some reason I just have a thing for pairings that has someone who's 'innocent' with someone who's 'dark'. Then they taint each other and it's just fun to watch if the author doesn't make the characters completely OOC. gonk

Oh my god...I've gotta find the 12th, 13th and 14th volumes...
You know...WHen i first watched YGO, i always thought kaiba made longer speeches than Anzu...and they had recurring words...like fate, duel, eternity, destiny even on occasion...
In the manga, Kaiba even had this deep poetic thing going on...

I like manga!Kaiba, especially because of Duelist Vol. 14. You can tell he's actually human in that volume. Yes, there were times when you would get glimpses of this side, but this volume confirms it. I'm not a huge fan of dub!Kaiba. I think all he's really good for is calling Jou a mutt. Dub!Kaiba is also fun to use in stalker jokes. 3nodding In the original anime, I like Kaiba better than the dub, but less than the manga.
I don't remember many of the speeches from the anime, but he probably does make longer speeches than Anzu. I think most of the duelists do. It's just people notice it more when Anzu makes a speech for some odd reason. Anzu you scene stealer! scream

Yeah, from what I've heard, the dub Kaiba doesn't hold a candle to the original kaiba. That's probably because of the tone of his voice too. He usually has some irritated, sarcastic, devious voice at least 60% of the time. Its rarely ever what one would consider normal (I guess). I hated Kaiba in the first part of the manga series. He was so creepy and evil, and Mokuba was a nutcase. sad
Yeah, it's probably because Anzu always makes recap speeches of encouragement (at least in the dub) "remember -(etc.)" those sorts of things.

*nods* I think in the original she doesn't bring up the friendship circle half as many times as she does in the dub. Can't say for sure.
Mokuba scared me when he first appeared. X_x
