I love Sony, and I always have since the first Playstation came out but the PS3 has been worrying me a lot as of lately. It's going to be very expensive, and may end up only being able to play brand new games... (No used, borrowed, or rented games may play on it) Which totally makes me against it. I rent and buy used games all the time. It's going to have a motion detection thing like the Wii will have. But I'm worried that the Wii is going to do much better than the PS3 (Even though it will also have a Blu-Ray player) this year. Your comments now?

I'll probably end up buying a ps3 eventually, when the price goes down a little (£450 estimate for a games console is ridiculous), but only because a game I've been looking forward to for ages will be coming out on ps3. I can't really see what it can have that is much better than what the ps2 had.
Also I already have problems with the ps2 playing only fairly new games, and if the ps3 is going to be worse then I really don't want to bother. If only mgs4 would come out on ps2. cry
And if it has a mmotion detector, it would be pretty cool, but I really hope there would be an option to turn it off, because I would most likely just find it distracting.

I've never purchased a Sony console... probably never will... since this one will be by far the most expensive console ever... i think its cost is equal to the 360 and nintendo's new console combined...

spriteandapplepie I've never purchased a Sony console... probably never will... since this one will be by far the most expensive console ever... i think its cost is equal to the 360 and nintendo's new console combined...

Sony, Honestly I think they are going to leave after this set of new consoles. They gave it a good run, but they just don't have the backing like Microsoft's X-box does. The Wii is going to be the big thing this time around. Yes Sony does have a motion senser thing in it, but it not nearly as complex as the Wii controllers have in them. I Would love it if it went back to just being Nintendo and Sony, but sadly I think they are fading.
The Ps3 is, like you said over-priced. But then again the X-box is also... Wii is easily cheapest with a launch price of $250 or there abouts. I did enjoy the Ps2 and Playstation very much though. Meh I think I'm rambling and i'm not quite on the subject even.. xp

Yea, Final Fantasy has been going downhill in my opinion though. They've been all flash and no substance lately, though I haven't play XI. X was alright, I didn't praticularly like it. But it was good game. X-2 was pretty bad from what I've heard. sweatdrop
I wish Microsoft would drop out though, I really don't like them. evil
Mostly having to do with computer stuff, but I really dislike them...

It looked interesting enough, but since I hadn't even played the first one at the time I had a chance to play it. I just left it alone. Maybe I should look into it now that I have played the first one...
Less serious? Hmm, so what was the point or it then? *spoiler*Yes I have seen that movie at the start that shows someone who appears to be Tidus in a cage or something.
hehe for less serious I think Crystal Chronicles would cover that part for me. I like the final fantasy games because they are really good rpg's and with the way that the new one looks like it's real-time? I don't think it will appeal to as many people. As much as the turn-based thing may be "out-dated" or whatever, I enjoy it. It's nice not having to focus on the game without any distractions.

If I had to choose between the 3 consoles, I'd make the PS3 the last one on my list, the blu-ray technology doesn't impress me as much as the Wiimote, not yet.
Wii seems much more promising than the PS3, PS1 and PS2 were GREAT consoles, PS1 smashed N64 thanks to the disc technology, PS2 had great games, even when the console graphics was the weakest of all 3 consoles, but now, it seems that Sony wanted to keep the great games and boost the graphics to get the absolute first place.
But, they failed by making such an expensive console that has low sales, it's prolly scaring away the game makers (the ones that didn't do any contracts with Sony).
If Sony don't get good games for the PS3, I fear that they can sink completly.

No one needs a good story, you just need a badass fighter to kick the s**t outta someone else. smile I'm easy to please though.
