This is a temporary thread while we get enough people to start. Basically this info is going to be added to the first page of the actual RP thread for reference.
If you have additional information you are free to post it here. If you have a source that's even better.
You can comment or ask questions as long as it is limited to the stargate universe. (What we know from the Tv shows)
If you are more interested about the RP, well we've been thinking on going with a new enemy, created exclusively for the RP but following Stargate's Earth mythology as a source. So far we are more inclined towards the Babylonian so any particular information about them can be posted here.

Important Details:Wraith - The Wraith are a powerful, hive-based species, who feed of the energy of living beings
Ancients - An advanced race of humans who constructed the Stargate network, millions of years ago. Many eventually ascended to a higher plane of existence when a "great plague" swept across the galaxy.
ZPM - (Zero Point Module) Ancient power source. Generates enormous power from vacuum energy derived from a self-contained region of subspace/time. Three ZPMs power the city of Atlantis..
DHD - (Dial Home Device) Portable remote-control device that sends a radio signal with the sender's personal identification code (IDC) that activates a Stargate. Built into the console of the Puddle Jumper.
Puddle Jumper - One of five Ancient spacecraft found in Atlantis. Highly maneuverable VTOL (vertical takeoff and landing) vehicle capable of hovering. Equipped with stealth mode allowing complete invisibility. Small enough, once its collapsible drive-pod "wings" fold in, to fit through a Stargate. Holds over a half-dozen fully armed personnel. Nickname derived from the "puddle" of energy that appears when a 'Gate is energized.
GDO - (Garage Door Opener) Handheld remote-control device that sends a radio signal with the sender's personal identification code (IDC) that allows a Stargate to open its iris.
MALP - (Mobile Analytic Laboratory Probe) Remote-controlled ATV that precedes a human team through a Stargate to analyze conditions and send back radio-wave data to help commanders determine whether it is safe for humans to proceed.
