I haven't really been competing since I got mono last year and all of my training got derailed. Most of the foil I did last year when I was betterish was against two or three new kids at a time. whee I love battles that aren't in a line...

My coach yells at me when I fence off of the strip on purpose. I'm competitive though. I just mess around with saber.

It isn't very realistic if you stay in line all the time. *shrug* I just like screwing around. Your coach would hate me. mrgreen

One of my friends tried to splice together two body chords so he could use 2 foils once, it worked until his first lunge, of which ripped it. I usually mess around when my coach visits her family in bulgaria.

O.O You have one of those Bulgairan coaches... no wonder! ;p
The instructor at the University screws around enough for me, so I don't tend to in his class. (I have scrapes on my elbows from playing tunnel tag on the gym floor at the end of class. I can't wait till he has us play capture the flag with weapons again) But my friends in club get pissed off at me once in a while for screwing around... I'm really not all that competitive.

hey everyone. just joined the forum. i started fencing in early november when i started university (the uinversity of wales, bangor) and immediatly fell in love with the sport. ive only fenced foil so far but should hopefully be trying another weapon soon. though i will deffinatly keep up my foil work (even though all the epeeists say to do epee and the sabreurs say to do sabre, lol) it really helps practising pointwork and speed.

Hi, I'm new to the guild and fencing. I've only been fencing since January. I took it to fill the mandatory kinesiology credit for college; it looked like the most fun. I was right! I am hooked on fencing for good. Finally, a sport that I enjoy! I'm using foil right now and enjoying it immensely. I wouldn't mind trying the other two, but I'm good for the moment. wink
