Okay, I was thinking about my post in that one thread talking about me getting Nobuo to compose a theme for me... well I was thinking that if he was willing what I would tell him I wanted... I was thinking I liked Nanaki's theme (Cosmo Canyon) and then I was like I also like Auron's theme and then something ticked...
Auron is Nanaki in human form eek
Seriously, if you look, you can see it.
the scar over the right eye, red being the dominant color on both... It's kind of hard for me to determine attitude in speech though, as I've never heard Nanaki speak, and his text boxes never conveyed emotion like, say, Cid's did.
But they do seem to have the same serious look in their faces

I'm just going to go with no on this one. While you point out some really interesting simularities I never did like Red and much as I like Auron. (Auron made it to my never take out of the party list, so did Vincent for that matter, and Irvine and Quistis, and well more characters in 6 than I had spaces for, I liked to use every one in 9 with the exceptions of Amarant and Quina... I honestly don't know why in Amarant's case and Quina just creeped me out (yet s/he is my brothers favorite).

in x my party is always Yuna, Rikku and Tidus. I know youre what youre thinking "what no Auron but the breaks" i agree they are prettyu useful so i taught them all to Rikku.
Also on a different note Yuna is currently my strongest party member, both with magic and physical attack, is this strange?

Wow this got off topic fast. Anyways, yes Crossel, you are crazy (Although everyone is in my eyes). XIII and Auron may seem like that same person/cat, but seeing as from they are from different games, and worlds it could not be possible. Although you do bring up a good point. Hell, why don't you send Square-Enix a letter aboot it? And aboot is spelled right. I'm Canadian. (South Park inside joke.)

I KNOW they couldn't be as they are from different games, but they are by means of the fact they look like each other (but different species) because of SE (or at that time just Squaresoft) but you saw my point...

I see your point. I'm just saying they couldn't technically be the same. Auron probably is based off of XIII anyways.

How could a character form FFX be based off a character from FFXIII when FFX was released about 2000-01 and XIII isn't even out yet? okay, 4 things: 1) i think he meant red XIII (as that is his default name) 2)you ARE crazy, but so am i cuz i saw the EXACT SAME THING. i agree with you man. 3)i liked it when SE was just squaresoft and enix. sweatdrop i'm nostalgic that way. i played squaresoft's AND enix's games on the SNES. (although i must say their joining was like a dream to me. i was like "w00t! kickass games galore!") 4)my -never take out- ppl in partys 7 - yuffie, vincent/cid 10 - auron, rikku

-points to the above post- Hehehe. My "never take out of party" list is the same as yours, save for the Vincent part. I don't use Vincent because of his Limit Break. Having no control over him bothers me. >_>
In any case, I agree. Red and Auron ARE quite similar.

In any case, I agree. Red and Auron ARE quite similar. i avoid his limit break until near the end of the battle. its not that i HATE vincent (cuz it isn't true), its that i don't vin to run himself in a corner. i need the Chaos limit... (besides, if vin DOES get himself in a corner, he'll die again. he already uses up the most phoenix downs... he's at a slightly lower level than yuffie and cloud. sweatdrop )

Vincent + Chaos + Ribbon + tons of hp boost materia + elemental protection through armor and materia + full limit meter = Quick wins at the battle square
All you got to do is make sure the slots between matches don't screw it up too bad.
