I won't shut up about the Galilean moons. I find them so fascinating. It drives my friends nuts and every time the conversation steers towards Astronomy they say, "STFU, dammit! mad "
So, it's good to know that people won't tell me to shut up here. I hope.
But, back to the topic. What's your favourite Galilean moon? Mine would be Ganymede, for no particular reason. sweatdrop

humm... Io and Europa are super cool, but I like Europa best because of the possible giant liquid water ocean thing under the ice. ^_^ So cool!
... and the fact that the poll has nothing to do with the thread confuses me. xp

We need to probe all of them more in my opinion, though callisto is my favorite of the galileans because its the only one we have a good shot of walking on someday ^^ all the others have that pesky radiation problem, being imbedded in joves magnetic field and all ^^;;

Noxes_Kaj We need to probe all of them more in my opinion, though callisto is my favorite of the galileans because its the only one we have a good shot of walking on someday ^^ all the others have that pesky radiation problem, being imbedded in joves magnetic field and all ^^;; indeed I agree that we should study the moons in our solar system alot more then we have so far. lol yea the other 3 moons do have a radiation problem, but then they do create some pretty amazing effects on those moons. 3nodding
