Since we don't have at topic here for my favorite country artist, I'm going to start one.

This is for all fans of Pam Tillis.

I have been a fan many years and think she has been overlooked lately. Things to dicuss here are favorite albums, songs, concerts and general things related to Pam. Do try to keep on topic.

Monday is Pam's birthday. July 24th.

I don't know about in the US, but she's really never heard from up here. I can't say I'm really too familliar with much of her music because of that... but I know I have heard some of her work and she does have talent. It's unfortuante that she's been overlooked.

Pam's popularity on country radio and CMT peaked in the 1990's. She sings "Maybe it Was Memphis" , "Shake the Sugar Tree" , "The River and the Highway" , "Please", "I Said a Prayer", "All of the Good Ones Are Gone" ,"Land of the Living" , "It's Only Out There" , "So Wrong" and many more.

* Please is not the same song the Kinleys sing.

This article tells about Pam's new album project.

Quote:
Pam Tillis debuted a few new songs from her upcoming album, RhineStoned: High on Country Music, at a Nashville club last week. No word on a release date, or label for that matter, but Tillis has been working new material into her set lists over the last few years.

So do I. Nice to have some new Pam news too. smile Billy Gilman considers Pam a roll model and it was a very special project to do a song with her for him.

I've been a big fan of Pam for years. I even have a signed photo and a picture with her from a few years back. I'm very excited about the new album. I also really like "Maybe It Was Memphis" as well. It's been a favorite of mine for a very long time.
