Naruto
Strength:Superhuman. Not exactly clear what the extent is. Able to proplel himself increadible distances with his leg power, and increase strength by funneling chakra into it. Increases immensely when tweeked, to the point of breaking Chakra creations with sheer strength, and stopping a snake this large.

Speed:Faster than what the normal human eye can track, but not faster than sound. This only applies when using the Kyubbi's chakra. Otherwise he has yet to show an impressive feat of speed.
Durability/Endurance:Due to the fact that he has the Kyuubi within him, Naruto is able to heal at a phenomenal speed, and as such can fight for prolonged periods of time. Also, his stamina is boosted by his determination and the Kyuubi, and if his normal chakra supply is wearing thin then the Kyuubi gives Naruto an exponentially large boost of chakra. He has the most endurance out of any of the gennin, with the possible exceptions of Lee and Shino. Able to fight for however long a fight is likely to last without slowing or falling to fatigue.
Intellect:Although seeming to be rather unintelligent in terms of how much he knows, Naruto seems to be a quick thinking when he?s in a fight, and often comes up with creative ways of achieving his goal. Some people could really class this as luck.
Has been shown to exploit weakness that he knows about (namely Kakashis). As far as strategy goes, he likes to bluff a lot, and most of the time uses his biggest attacks to set up for the basics, or Ransangan. (IE: When he summoned Gambunta against Gaara and took Gaara out with a normal punch, or using Kage-Bushin/henge to fill in for a whole group of people)
Fighting Skill:Compentant. More or a brawler. Less flair, and more substance than most others of his class. Fairly skilled at creating new powerful combos when using his clones. Very good at knife fights.
Techniques/Powers:
Kage Bunshin no jutsu (Shadow clone): Creates a clone of Naruto, Naruto?s chakra is spread out equally between the clones, and so even with advanced bloodlines you cannot tell which is the real Naruto. Jounin level jutsu.
Rasengan: Focuses a large amount of chakra on the palm of the hand, and then release it on your target. Can have an extremely devastating effect. Hokage level jutsu.
Kuchiyose no Jutsu: Naruto also has the ability to summon Gama Bunta to fight by his side (although it often takes a lot of persuading)
Henge: This ability allows Naruto or his clones the ability to transform into the likeness of of other People, Animals, or objects. Quite useful in deception.
Kawarmi: Replacement technique. No one is really sure how this works, but the idea is that you take an object in the immediate area and switch places with it. This allows someone to elude attacks that would normally harm him.

Exploding Note:
This tool is a note which explodes after a set amount of time. A shinobi uses it by attaching it to a kunai and throwing it close to the enemy so it will hit them or using sacrifices such as animals. This works because of the writing on the note which casts a spell to make the note to explode after a set period of time.
Head Protector
This is a rectangular peice of metal which is attached usually to a blue or red colored bandana either folded or left normally. Each village have there own symbol carved in the center of the metal sheet to represent and show that they are members of the village. The way Head Protectors are worn have no boundaries but the traditional way is on the forehead but it usually worn in different places such as a belt or tied around the arm.
Kunai
This is a basic combat weapon mainly used by Genins but it is made for any rank of Ninja. A Kunai is in the shape of a small dagger with a ring at the end so it can be grabbed and pulled quickly out of the pouch. It doesnt have to be thrown it can be used the slash or stab the enemy and can cause critical damage if it hits the right place, but Kunais can be blocked much easier by opponents with more skill.
Throwing Stars: Pretty much exactly what the name is. Razor-edged star-shaped blades used more to inflict pain, or discourage than actually damaging the opponent.
Notes: Most of his stats are above average for a Gennin (Even in the rookie nine) but his personality is a weak point. Not one to really bust loose until he has to. He also has a habit for completely giving out these big speeches that change people's perspectives and "Melt the ice around their hearts"
History: Mother died giving birth to him, the fourth Hokage performed a Kinjutsu, sealing the nine-tailed demon into the boy's navel. Despite the Fourth wanting him to be seen as a savior, the adults of the villiage could only veiw him as the monster that had killed their families. Desperate for attention, Naurto set out to be noticed in any way he possibly could, by pulling pranks and being very loud.
After failing the ninja entrance exam the third time in a row, to make a long story short, he ended up getting passed specially after learning his signature jutsu and discovering why the villiage hated him so. He was placed on a team with Sasuke and Sakura, under the leadership of Kakashi.
He grew at an increadible rate, and his rival Sasuke soon became one of his best friends. After a long complicated series of events, the Hokage was murdered (One of only two people that had always treated Naruto with respect) and Sasuke betrayed the villiage in a titanic bout with Naruto before fleeing to the sound country. As a result Naruto has a complex about losing people close to him.
Haruno Sakura
Strength:Average for a ninja Gennin. Which is to say, probably around or below peak human. When angry it seems to shoot up a good bit, but she isn't one to get angry in combat scenarios.
Speed:Faster than most average humans, but no-where near as fast as Naruto/Sasuke.
Durability/Endurance:Pyhsical - She gets beat down quite easily, and often depends on others to help her in fights.
Mental - Well, she's a bit of an odd child, and thanks to "Inner Sakura" her mental durability is alot higher than most other ninjas. She's powered her way out of Shintenshin no jutsu before. May be the best choice to fight Itatchi later in the series.
Intellect:Quite book smart; often has to explain things to Naruto. Got some of the best scores in the academy. Begining to learn medical Jutsus, an increadibly complex sublect. Moreover, Sakura is a really bright ninja who knows everything about Chakra, techniques, and anything ninja-related. She can be a really important source of information during a battle, and would make a perfect teacher for young shinobis.
Fighting Skill:Competant. Her fighting abilities are more or less passing Academy level. Fair HTH, and exceptional knife skills. While she doesn't have any signature techniques, she does have the basics and uses them better than most.
Techniques/Powers:

Perfect Chakra control: Unlike pretty much everyone else we've seen so far, Sakura wastes absolutely NO chakra when performing techniques or utilizing it. This means that although she has far less chakra, she can make hers last longer. This gives her total control over her techniques, so she can learn almost any Jutsu if she is shown how it is done.

Compared to Naruto and Sasuke, she has almost no stamina. Also, her body is not that of an ideal ninja, as she doesn't generate a lot of Chakra. History: Grew up self-conscience of her larger forehead, until she was givin a burst of confidence by her then best friend, now friend and rival Ino. After that, she had a realization during the chunin exams that being a ninja meant no time for trying to look good, and she slashed off her well-cared for hair, a large sacrifice on her part. Since then she's been more focused, determined, and a better ninja overall.
Uchiha Sasuke
Strength:Superhuman. After his emergence from his little wooden cacoon, Sasuke punched Naruto in the gut, and sent him flying almost halfway across an increadibly large ravine. If I had to put class it it would be at least 3 ton class.
Speed:Faster than what the normal human eye can track, but not faster than sound. Moving at these speeds while using his sharringan severely cuts down on his stamina.
Durability/Endurance:Able to take quite a beating as he?s shown on many occasions. Seems to get very angry if Itachi is ever mentioned.
In his cursed seal state he is able to take an even larger beating, and in his Heaven Seal this increases further. However, the draw back to using his curse seal/Heaven Seal state is that in consumes a lot of chakra.
Intellect:Born into the Uchiha clan, many people consider Sasuke to be a genius. However, this only applies to fighting, and we have not seen how much general intelligence he has.
Fighting Skill:Exceptional. His unique eyes allow him the ability to mirror muscle movements, and he's stolen more than one attack from watching Fighting experts such as Lee and Kakashi. His skills with Kunia are the best we'vce seen so far, and is able to throw Kunia accurately enough to do complex ricochet shots that defy reason.
Techniques/Powers:
Katon Goukakyuu no Jutsu: Gathers a large amount of chakra in the hand and mouth, then releases the chakra as a large fireball
Katon Housenka no Jutsu: Similar to Goukakyuu no Jutsu, but this attack creates a lot of smaller fireballs. Often used to conceal kunai or shurikens.
Katon Karyuu Endan: Again, the user draws chakra into their mouth. They then exhale, producing a very wide stream of flames that approach their target as a huge wall.
Katon Ryuuka no Jutsu: One of the more powerful Katon techniques, Ryuuka is named ?Dragon Flame?, and for good reason. After drawing a large amount of chakra to the users mouth, it is released in a compact flamethrower style.
Kazaguruma no Sharingan: Requires at least 3 blades to be thrown from the users hand, and for their mouth to be free. With the use of string, Sasuke is able to prevent his target from moving by utilising his Sharingan's ability to read peoples movements, and aimed at where they are planning on moving to. Used in conjunction with Katon techniques, it can be quite dangerous.
Chidori: Focuses a large amount of chakra around the hand of the user, originally designed as an assassination technique, deals a whole world of damage to the point of impact.
Shadow Shuriken: Throwing a fuma shuriken, then throwing an identicle one, to travel within its shadow. The first fuma shuriken's shadow Sheild's the second one, creating an opening for the second one to hit.
ShiShi Rendan (Lion Combo):
Sasuke's own TaiJutsu combo, which includes a series of punches and kicks to create a lot of pain to the opponent. First up, Sasuke uses Rock Lee's Konoha Repuu, to send the opponent towards the sky. He then jumps after the flying ninja, and places himself beneath him/her, Sasuke does Kage Buyou( Shadow Leaf dance). This leaves the opponent motionless, and creates an opening for an attack from Sasuke.
As a result, Sasuke first grabs the opponent's back, and then quickly releases it while kicking the opponent's rib with his left leg. The enemy will probably block that strike because it is a very obvious strike. Next, Sasuke will do a 360 degree flip in the air, creating the illusion that he will strike with his right leg. However, while he is rising from the flip, he raises his left hand and smacks the enemy in the face, sending him down.
Sasuke follows with another punch in the stomach, again with his left hand. Now his opponent is nearly touching the ground, so Sasuke delivers the final blow; a frontflip towards the enemy, striking his face with his left foot, and smashing him onto the ground.
Sharingan: Grants the user utter immunity to most Genjutsu, and the ability to copy Ninjutsu, and follow Taijutsu. Can also trace the movements of an opponent, and predict where their next move will be. Although very good against many types of jutsu, the body still has to be able to react in time, meaning if the opponent is too fast the Sharingan user will SEE the attack coming, but will not be able to react in time to avoid/counter it.
Curse Seal:After the recovery of receiving the Tenfuuin, the bearer can now, for a short time, draw out more of their chakra while using the seal. The more chakra they use, and the longer the seal is active, the more it spreads across their body. This is the first level of the cursed seal and is somewhat exhausting.
There is a second level of the curse where the seal itself has encompassed the bearer's entire body, turning their skin dark and making them appear as a demon with incredible power, bringing much more chakra to the surface, increasing the ninja's strength tenfold. However, this second level of the cursed seal is much more exhausting than the first. It requires the ingestion of Seishingan, which are pills that induce a comatose state. Afterwards, the Shikokumujin (Four Seals of the Dark Mist) is performed, sealing the ninja inside a barrier until the seal completes its transformation. If there is a further level of the seal, it has yet to be seen.
Gear:
Throwing stars, Exploding notes, Kunia
Ninja Wire: Tough, thin wire that's usually hard to detect, and attatched to thrown weapons to be yanked for a surprise attack. Can be used to swing around on, and is tough enough to slice through tree bark without fraying.
Fuma Shurinkan:
A large, colapsable windmill blade that while large and flashy, isn't used in battle often.
Notes: His arrogance sometimes causes him to underestimate his opponents.

History: Sasuke's older Brother Itachi was the most promising ninja of the clan, graduating from the Ninja Academy at the top of his class when he was a mere seven years old, ablue to use the Uchiha clan Sharingan at the very young age of eight, and finally graduated to become a chuunin at the remarkable age of ten. He later would become a member of the ANBU. For these reasons Itachi seemed very promising, but even at this level of power he actively seeked more, first he killed his best friend to obtain the Mangekyou Sharingan, and then he went on to kill the entire Uchiha clan with the exception of Sasuke, because he wanted Sasuke to become just like himself, and perhaps did not want to suffer the guilt of exterminating the entire clan. After that night Sasuke was never the same again, once a playful and smiling child, he became silent and isolated. He only concentrated on a single goal: avenging the death of his family, and kill his Brother. The only people who managed to break through and open his heart a little are Haruno Sakura, Uzumaki Naruto, and his sensei Hatake Kakashi, for they were the only ones who could really understand him. He later accepts the offer of power without morals and betrays everyone who cares about him.
Hatake Kakashi
Strength:Superhuman. He's often shown blocking and deflecting punches from other ninja with ease, and blocked Zabusa'a huge sword with nothing but a tiny Kunia. Also climbed up a sheer cliff face while wearing weights with only his left hand. Again, strength can be significantly increased by aplying extra chakra.
Speed:Superhuman. Much faster than even the well trained genin can see.
Durability/Endurance:Sometimes getting carried away, Kakashi stretches fights longer than they really need to be, as such he can fight for quite a while, even in unfamiliar territory. Hasn't really been shown to take much of a beating, except for the severe mind raping he recieved at the hands of Itachi.
Intellect:Kakashi is quick thinking and seems to always be one step ahead of everyone and almost always knows how to act accordingly. Smart enough to become an elite ninja at the age of 16.
Fighting Skill: Exceptional. Kakashi is a formidable taijutsu user, and proves to be a strong enemy to even taijutsu users like Gai and can easily hold his own in close combat, like he does against Zabuza. That isn't what makes him so dangerous however. He is an expert at manipulation, and mixing Genjutsu and Ninjutsu into his attack pattern in the most effective manner possible.
Techniques/Powers:
Rumoured to have copied over 1000 techniques, so like hell am I going to list them. Basically, if there's a technique on the show that isn't Self taught, a summon, or result of a bloodline, it's safe to assume Kakashi has something similar.
Chidori - Focuses a large amount of chakra around the hand of the user, originally designed as an assassination technique, deals a whole world of damage to the point of impact. Kakashi's only non-copied Jutsu.
Lightning Edge - Similar to Chidori, just... with a different name. This is the attack (I think) that Kakashi cut a lightning bolt with.
Kuchiyose no Jutsu: Kakashi appears to have a contract with dogs, which he can summon and are quite useful for tracking and immobolizing the opponent.
Sharingan:Grants the user utter immunity to most Genjutsu, and the ability to copy Ninjutsu, and follow Taijutsu. Can also trace the movements of an opponent, and predict where their next move will be. Although very good against many types of jutsu, the body still has to be able to react in time, meaning if the opponent is too fast the Sharingan user will SEE the attack coming, but will not be able to react in time to avoid/counter it. Kakashi knows the genjutsu that are related to the Sharingan and he can easily confuse powerful enemies like Zabuza with it, through subtle hypnotization. Moreover, Kakashi's favorite use of the Sharingan is it's copying ability.

History:Kakashi became a jounin at age 16. At the time he was training under Konoha's future fourth Hokage, Yellow Flash. He was in a three man team with Uchiha Obito, whom he never got along very well because Obito never obeyed rules and regulations, and Rin. At the time, there was great turmoil between the great countries and Konoha was deeply involved in what was to be called: The Third Secret World War. All four ninja were involved in a sabotage mission during the war and went to Rock Country. During the mission, the future fourth had to separate from Kakashi and the rest, so Kakashi was given charge of Obito and Rin.
To simplify a long story, Obito died, and gave Kakashi his current sharingan eye, that was transplanted by Rin into Kakashi, making Kakashi what he is today, always being late and privileging teamwork to carry on Obito's legacy.
Afterwards Kakashi became an ANBU team member for a number of years, his only known mission was a rescue mission to save Snow Country's princess. But, judging from what we have seen in that part, we can deduce that Kakashi has been a normal jounin only for a few years.
