Anyway, the game is a PSP remake of the original Valkyrie Profile meaning you no longer have to pay $100 for the game if you have a PSP! surprised Yeah, it's a Tri Ace/Enix game if you didn't know. Technically Square-Enix now. Tri Ace being the branch that creates Star Ocean. They also made Radiata Stories. Both oif the mentioned games are awesome.
Now that I've got a good nine hours in this game... I have to say... I LOVE IT! The combat system is unique and the overall system ingeneral isn't something you realy see too often. I'm liking the storyline, and loving the art. I may also mention that there isn't much story if you don't look around though.
So now this is a Valkyrie Profile thread in general... because of the fact tat I got Valkyrie Profile 2. Which is awesome. I'm in the last chapter... and can use Nibelung Velasti (I think that's how it's spelled >.>) three times in the same combo. xp Good stuff. If only I had enough time to finish it right now. D:

Those are Urd, Verdandi, and Skuld. Lenneth would have to be named Skuld for it to be correct, because Skuld is the leader of the Valkyries. Also the other Valkyries don't show up. They simply have Battle Maiden Lenneth Valkyrie as the only one (working) as far as I can tell...

My girlfriend owns the PSX version but she wants this one too. The problem is she lacks a PSP. The PSP also lacks games that interest her, outside of this. In short she wanted to pay for a PSP and this game just for this game. I think I have successfully talked her out of it, she hasn't mentioned it in a while.
Has that much really changed from the PSX version to the PSP version?

As far as I know, the only difference is that it's on one disk... and has new CG scenes. Not that the CG scenes even matter that much. Wel lthere's that and it's hand held.

She said something about a new dungeon or something along those lines. I wouldn't know really having never played the first. This is one of those instances where I can understand where she is coming from but I don't agree with it.

I was planning on buying the PSX version (for a crapload of money. >.<) until I heard of Valkyrie Profile: Lenneth, so yeah... I don't have iot for PSX. However, on Gamespot.com they said the only difference was the CG scenes. I quote: "The only new content in this version is a handful of prerendered cutscenes, which look nice but don't bring much to the game."

Yeah the guys are gamespot were complaining that the game/instructiuons don't give you enough info on how the game works so you might miss something the first time through. D: I dunno though, if they're talking about what I think they are, I think that you'd have to be inexperienced with RPGs to miss that sort of stuff.

I love Valkyrie Profile and am very pleased that I still have the original Playstation version. My only qualm about the game is that I wish there were more to the sides stories of the Einheijar. So many of them had interconnecting lives and it would have been nice to see how things panned out.
