I know we have a "were we witches in past lives" thread, but I thought we could have one solely on sharing (if you feel comfortable doing so) experiences, theories, discussions, etc. on the topic of our pasts.

if this seems too much like the other one, feel free to delete/lock/whatever it, and my appologies.

I think it would be both interesting and informative to see everyone's opinion on this.

So, some questions to start us off...

What are your opinions on performing a regression? On having one performed on you? (hypnosis, mediation, etc.) Do you want one?

Have you ever had any regressions? If you have, how has this changed/not changed you, or your outlook on life?

If you do not want to remember, what do you think of those that do? Is there a reason why you feel that way, or is it just a preference thing?

***

I'll post a bit of mine later, but it's just been on my mind and I know people have been making mention of interest, so...

I have never had a regression (that I know of) but I would love to know more about my past lives. I've a feeling this is my first [physical] incarnation, due to many people's hints and suggestions...
I'd post more, but not only do I need to finish some shopping for tomorrow, but I have a splitting headache. stressed
I shall return with more of my own, useless, opinions! sweatdrop

I have had dreams and remembered things from a life that I do not recall. I have also picked up little habits and I have no idea whaere I learned them from. I seem to recall a young women sometime in the 15th or 16th century? She died young but I believe she was from an upper class family. Besides that there is another life farther away that I can hardly see. I don't have any idea when that one took place. I have tried meditation to find out more but nothing else. If anyone has any tips, I wouldn't mind exploring the lives of before as much as possible.

This has happend to me alot latley.

Like I will look at something, and this vision will like come to me. Like I was talking to one of my friends, and I was staring at her pentacle neclace, and this weird vision from like the 16th century came to me. Its weird.

This might be off subject but..
I look at something and then a dream that i've had comes to me. Latley I keep remebering my dreams. Its really weird. Does anyone have any ideas why this is happening?

Hmm... Past life...I haven't had any regressions but I was told by a wiccan friend after her checking that my soul was 51 years old. Possibly 53 now? Though I occasionally do have realisting dreams of me with angel wings and flying around. I can never remember all of the dream.

So...your soul's age...would that be implying that 53-your age=how old you were when you died? *ponders* might be a bit of a stretch... That's interesting, in any case. I have not heard much about exact years old a soul is, but that is a cool bit of info.

When I was twelve, I used to get visions all the time. Some were more like flashbacks, though, momentary glimpses of centuries past. It was a bit scary, but an incredible thing. I don't get them so much anymore, but then, maybe it's because life has been hectic and I haven't had time to really pay attention to what I used to.

It sounds like these things you look at trigger the dream to occur in your mind's eye again. There could be a variety of things that make this happen. I tend to think with behaviorist tendencies, so my impression would be that there is something worth looking into, perhaps probing into your consciousness to figure out what your dream means; perhaps it has useful significance. That's just my opinions/ideas though; there are a lot of options or explanations that could be put into use--maybe someone else will share a different thought.

Ohh,cool! Makes sense. I was thinking that maybe my dreams were trying to tell me something. But its weird. I will be talking to a friend or just reading or anything, and then a dream pops up. It's kind of cool because I love my dreams, but it sucks because I don't know what this means! sweatdrop

I will post some helpful "hints" if you will, that should help you guys get started in a little while. Regressions can be tricky, but I'll list precautions and whatnot, too, momentarily. Just have to find the page..... 3nodding

Last year, my life was going really well and I had like no stress on myself at all (besides normal things like tests and what-not) and I often had really fascinating dreams. I felt oddly drawn towards them, like I'd get pissed at myself if I forgot one (that's why I started a dream jornal). I know not all of them were past lives, duh, 'cause if I had that manys lives...each would probably be around 2-3 years long and in my early 20s/late teens too, purely illogical. But I had this one dream that I remember like nothing else (only the end is really important, but oh well). There were some details that were totally pointless and random I don't remember, but I was at this mall (very wierd mall that has appeared in at least 2 other dreams) and I was at a bookstore (Waldens to be exact, store I'm in love with and a regular at, lol, oddly enough this year only though, I rarely went there last year) and I was looking at books. My friends got bored, so we went down to the ocean that was right next to the mall, so I kept going back and forth between the ocean and bookstore. Everyone once and awhile I saw a wolf pack, like it was waiting at the very end of the beach, like by where I'd go to get picked up by my parents. So, obviously, after awhile, my parents came to pick me up, so went to leave. Once we started driving off, the wolf pack followed us, and, being myself, I went to the back of the car to get a better look at them. Somehow the back car door popped open and I fell out. When I looked up, after rolling down the street a bit, I was literally eye to eye with one of the wolves, I was scared (you know, big wolf pack, you on the ground), but there was nothing malicious about it. The wolf's nose was almost touching my own and I could see straight into it's bright silver eyes. That image is like permandently scetched into my mind forever. It could be purely because my spirit guides are wolves, that wolf could have been one of my guides trying to reach me (that was before I could feel them with me and such), but I've had a theory (that I really wish is true) that it was so powerful of a dream, because that wolf could have been me or a family member, as we were then. I really can't prove it either way, but it's an interesting thing for me to think about.

Could be a variety of things--your spirit guides, signs, past lives...

I think there's a greater chance that your guides are/were telling you something, important, though. I'm not saying your theory isn't correct, but from that particular dream you had, it seems less "past" related, to me.

One way to incite regresssions and memories are to prod into your deepest passions and desires. I suggest you do this with wolves and see if there is indeed a connection between the two. Perhaps you were a shaman, a shifter, perhaps you WERE a wolf. It really all comes down to what YOU think.

As a reply to your other thread that connects to this--

Aylia
My friend and I both have theories of our past lives, and what could be purely random "evidence" towards them. (It is totally coinicidental we both believe this and have so many simular situations.) Well, we both have theories we were wolves and some kind of Asian (most likely Japanese) person. We both get odd cravings almost to howl, and even though I'm a vegitarian, I sometimes finding myself thinking about knawing into a big juicy, dripping steak. And we have some random habits we think could point to the Asian, we do odd things with fans and our fake Shuriken, that could be explained by Asian steryotypes and past info (like how the women wear/wore kimonos and other such stuff). The biggest thing we've found odd is sometimes when we'll be reading, writing or doing other things, we'll try to do them backwards, like read right to left and just end up confusing ourselves. This happens to me and my friend a lot. So, I was wondering what you guys think. Purely coinicidental? Or actual past live habits coming through? Do you know of any way to see how coincidental as compaired to true habits these situations are, like besides talking to spirit guides.

habits are tricky. Some start because of cultural influence or present day issues (nail-biting, for example, can be triggered by stress, nervousness, etc., but may not be because your nails got too long in your last lifetime). Others exist because of some other, deeper-rooted need or urge--ex. compulsively collecting stamps because you worked in a post office 50 years earlier. Or you may honestly stop breathing when you put on a tie or a choker because you were hung or strangled in a past life, as a darker example.

You just have to decide for yourself what is or isn't true, what sort of "habit" is so ingrained into your subconscious that you couldn't get rid of it--that sort of thing.

Hope this helped!

I'm not entirely sure. I haven't looked into the soul age thing completly.

I think I have an older soul.... I dont know, it just seems that way. Like you know, I've always loved my mom, have had only 1 big fight with here in my life, and always appreciat wat I have. I'm relly prospecective and intraspective.... thats about it.

I have never had a concious regression, but I am starting to think that i regressed any other memories and such of past lives subconciously because each one was so bad. This is just a theory, but I am almost certain of it because when I started getting into magic and Wicca, it was almost as if something was holding me back, and today i still have problems with it. Either way I know that I have had a few past lives because of something my dad told me. He said he walked in on me talking to thin air when I was littler and when he asked me who I was talking to, I just told him it was my Japanese grandfather. Sorry for the rambling, it is sort of what I do without realising sometimes..oh well.
