I like listening to music of different cultures. Of course, I can only listen to them for a little while before I switch to something else. I usually prefer songs that I understand. (we need a thumbs up emoticon)

One thing I do find a bit annoying is when people play songs that they know other people don't understand. Especially Asians playing their own music. I'm not talking about only East Asia, btw. (I'm Asian too, I think it's disrespectful to other people. >_<)

I was wondering how others felt about it:
-people who listen to music they don't comprehend [and perhaps sing it even though they have not a clue what they're singing]

-people playing music with a language that you don't understand for an extremely long period of time

-people who refuse to listen to certain music because it is from a certain culture

-foreign music in general.

I'm nutso, I listen to all even if I don't know where it's from... I'll sing along to them when I listen to it enough to sorta get what words go where. sweatdrop

I don't mind not understanding since well... How many songs to we really stop and listen to the lyrics to now a days? Sometimes I think it's better that I don't understand exactly what I'm listening to though...

People tend to play around with me about that... but hey, they're loss at some great music.

. . . yeah, it's foreign if you live in North America? (or anywhere else not in Japan) I like most Japanese rock~ Like L'Arc en Ciel.

I guess you've got a point there... it is pretty fun to listen to other types of music... and people are really too busy to listen to music nowadays...
I, myself, am being a hypocrite currently and listening to a large amount of Korean music of a certain Korean pop band... *sigh* pop music... it's got me... but now I really, really want to learn Korean so I can at least tell what they're singing....

I do listen to a lot of foreign music. Some of the songs I don't really understand, but I usually look the lyrics up if i'm not sure. I like knowing what they're saying.. ^^
