Welcome to Portrait of the Warrior. Here you may request a picture of your character, or any guild related images! The best part is there is absolutely no charge for guild members! That means if you're on the member list, you don't have to pay any gold! (Though you may donate to your heart's content!!)
 There are only a few rules; they shouldn't be hard to follow. I will add more if I feel the need to.1. Please don't PM me with your guild related requests, post them here. (Though you may PM me if it isn't related to guild art)
2. Don't direct link. Save the images to your computer and upload them onto your own image host or server.
3. Please don't edit the picture! Cropping and Resizing is okay, but don't remove the signature or take credit for it!
4. Please be respectful and don't flame. If you feel something needs to be resolved, please PM me so that we may privately sort things out.
5. Please be patient while waiting for your image, I will always try to get your image to you as soon as possible, but I do have a life outside of Gaia.
 To request an image, please fill out this form and post it here. Please be specific with your requests! Don't be afraid to add detail, but try not to take up a page if you can help it.Who or what: basically, am I drawing your character? Your character with another's? Or am I drawing some object or animal (related to the guild of course)? Pose/action: Do You want your character(s) in a certain pose, or just the standard standing pose? A victory-sign with their hands, or maybe jumping in the air with their arms flailing around? Props: This includes weapons, animals, anything that isn't the character that you want in the image. Looks: Basically, what does your character look like? Is he or she is based off of your avatar, or do they look completely different? Also include any specifics and clothes preference. Background/Size: Tell me if you want a background or not. If you do want a background, please nothing too complicated... Also, if there is a size (pixles) you would prefer for your pic, (say, smaller if you were to use it for your sig...) please state it here. Extras: Anything else that you want to include. If you have any reference pics, feel free to post them here if you'd like!

WHoo-hoo! Dibs on first!
Who: My character, Serge.
Pose / Action: I envision him on a vista of sorts, though what's in the background I am unsure of. I know that he's standing with his sword at his side, looking up at the clouds, or even better the moon. He'd hold his sword in his left hand by the scabbard near the hilt.
Props: His sword. It's a Daiji Jien, like the Green Destiny from Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon. Now the hilt is kinda complicated because I don't have a scanner to give you a picture of it. The pommel is a lotus blossom. Standing on the lotus blossom, acting as the hilt proper, is a nude female angel (fine art, not erotic). Her legs are unnaturally long, just to accomadate the legth of the hilt. The traditional two tassles would be hanging from around her ankles. Also, she is standing on her tiptoes, and near legs cross a little above the ankles. Her wings spread out forming the guard, and her ams stretch out above her, with the blade coming out from between them. The scabbard is plain, with the exception that at the top, there is a short peice of metal that forms a V on the sides, with the point of the v facing the top of the scabbard. At the bottom, there is a similar peice of metal that forms an inverted V with the point again facing the top. Sorry that this is so complicated.
Looks: The hair is the same as that af my avi. To best describe his clothes, from the waist down he is wearing the same clothes as Fei Fong Wong from Xenogears, including the peice of armor. His top is bare. He is of medium build, but his mucles are finely toned. He has the seven kanji for bushido tatood on his body, but I'm not sure where, so I guess you can put them where you like. If you don't want to show them on his body, one idea is to have them framing the picture. Here they are: 義 Gi - Rectitude, 勇 Yu - Courage, 仁 Jin - Benevolence, 礼 Rei - Respect, 誠 Makoto - Honesty, 名誉 Meiyo - Honor, and 尽忠 Chugi - Loyalty.

Thank you! You were very fun to draw in that contest!
I have an idea in my head of what you want your picture to look like, but I'm sorry if it doesn't come out quite as you described!
Anyways, seeing as it is almost 3 in the morning here, I'm going to retire for the night, but I'll start on your picture first thing tomorrow!

Here you go! Sorry it's not exactly what you described, my idea of the pic kind of changed as I was drawing it. I hope you like it! Oh, and I'm sorry it took me a while, I'll try not to take so long next time sweatdrop Added a sea shell to the sword... Sorry the hilt isn't really long enough, but it'll do, right? I hope so whee Anyways, hope you like it!!!! your pic(If you need me to resize it to the sig limits of 500x500, please just tell me and I will... Sorry I didn't realize how big it was when I was drawing it!!)

Props: I'd like to have Kura's kodachi, the chichiushi, in his hand in his dynamic pose. I will post a reference to the type of kodachi i'd like in the pic. I'd also like it if you'd drew a hawk behind him, but that's up to you.
Looks: Use my avatar or reference. In this case however, I would request that you do not draw my red/orange sunvizor and my ports(it's out of character sweatdrop ). I'm wearing a white complex shirt under my musketeer cape with black biker gloves. And I have red eyes under my visor.
Background/Size: ermm...I'm stumped. Do what you'd like with the background as long as it looks oriental-ish.
Extras: whether you want to draw the hawk is up to you. 3nodding
