I 've been writing this story for a while. I just need some people to comment and give me some constructive ideas for the story.
Well...here's the basic idea so far:
Long ago, in more ancient times, there were gods and goddesses living on earth. Of course, there were animals of all kinds, the usual we see today. The gods were worshipped by each species, and some by humans. Others, however, were hunted, and killed for special attributes. . Gods didn't have names as humans, they weren't named on physical appearance or anything of the such. They were named for those attributes. One such example was the goddess of foxes. She was named Everlast for her never ending well of wisdom and foresight. She was one of those hunted. An emperor of a race long lost placed a contest. Who ever killed her and brought her soul to him would be paid in sums of gold that would shadow El Dorado. This emperor, you see, sought her wisdom and foresight. With her soul, through an ancient ritual, he could attain all her attributes, and, in a sense, become Everlast. He would be the greatest ruler imaginable. And thus, the contest was held. All were given arrows and swords, dipped in the flames of hell (brought forth by yet another ritual..etc.). Eventually, Everlast was shot, the arrow dug deep into her core. Her soul, being the soul of a fox, was too sly to be captured. It shredded itself into one hundred peices, all sent into a distant future.
This is where the story begins. Each peice of Everlast's soul was reincarnated into a human being.Life is not easy for them, however. The legend of the fox goddess was passed down through scrolls, generation to generation. Few human beings know of this legend, but those who do still seek her reincarnations, hoping to attain the same attributes the ancient emperor did.Luckily, the reincarnations of Everlasts's soul were given the ability to convert their bodies into that of a fox. No easy thing to do, of course. It takes a great toll on each human's life; A year is taken from them each time they transform.(Geez, I hate that word, it makes everything sound so cheesy and run-of-the-mill.) The center peice of Everlast's soul (having the most vibrant strands of intelligence and power) was reincarnated into a young girl by the name of Talin. Morning Moon is the tale of her life: How she is hunted while trying to lead a normal life, trying to fit into society, and the fate of her soul.

^_^ I like it. It's not the first thing I'd pick up at a book store, but if someone recomended it to me, I would probably read it. You should go through with it.

I think it sounds like a great idea. I think a lot of people would be really interested in it. It's not exactly the kind of things that I like to read, but I know a lot of people who would. You have a really good imagination, though. I wish I could think of things like that.

Such great inspiration in those words. Sometimes I think I'm just following in other people's footsteps, taking a classic fantasy and beating at it ever more with a few special additions. Lol. I see some of my stories as ragged and uniteresting. >< You are your worst critic, however. I can only look to people like you for opinions. 4laugh

i think it sounds like an excellent idea for a story. I read alot of fantasy and it sounds like something that if properly titled would catch my eye in the bookstore. dont worry about the title until you finish the story though
