[Sorry it has taken so long, but here we go. I will get an OOC thread up dedicated to just this thread sometime tomorrow. This first scene takes place outside of the sept at the Seattle Center so if you aren't sure exactly what the Seattle Center is or looks like, a picture/map can be located here. It isn't the best, but it gives a rough idea of the layout. There is a good chance that unless you arrived at the center with someone, you will avoid others that are at the Center since most of the characters aren’t familiar with each other.] ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Wednesday, July 26, 2006 - 3 days since the new moon Though the heat of the day has faded to a comfortable level, the city nightlife was still lower than usual. Regardless of what brought you to Seattle for the day and some of the night, your business is done for the day and you may as well get a good night’s sleep before the moot tomorrow, that is if you're attending.
After traveling from wherever you may have been, you find that you have been drawn towards the Seattle Center. Long since closed for the night little light is visible and all the structures are for the most part cast in shadow. Before you can continue on your way, you hear a howl emanating from inside the complex.

[EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!]
Raven stood in front of the gate carrying only her backpack and a small duffle with a few essentials inside. Not. Both bags were packed very tightely and super organised. It took her longer than expected to learn to "pack light" (or rather, her version of so). She remembered her embarrassment at the Black Furies teasing her. None of them seemed to understand what it was like to make the switch from only-child rich suburban kid to roughing it out with a bunch of wolves in the middle of nowhere. I should be heading to the hotel to get ready for my introduction tomorrow to that guy, not standing out here... Irritation struck as she stratched her head, On top of that, the humidity has poofed my hair beyond any cooperation... talk about great first impressions... then again would they really care? I'm trying to impress Wolves, not WASPS anym-- She perked up and smiled at the sound of the howl. Humor struck. She put down her bag, cupped both hands around her mouth, and gave a howl back.

Jagger... bombs Dragon uttered Jagger bombs..... never again. Slowly stumbling along, Seattle is a beatiful place he thought, best left to be discovered without a hangover. Might as well find a place to crash. though his head perked up and that ghostly sound. What ******** would be going on at this hour?? Oh... wait he thought. I'm suppose to be at night, that's my nature I guess. Well that decides it, no more nights like last night. biggrin And dragon set out in search oh a little fun

"You are just going to ignore that?" Criticism thick in her voice
Alex spun around fixing Erica with a fierce stare. "Don't meddle in things you know nothing about!" She was hurt and Alex knew it. He was supposed to be protecting her not hurting her. "Look I'm sorry. There are things that I can't tell you. Besides it is probably just a cub trying to scare someone. It would be a waste of time to check it out." He promised himself that he would tell her the whole truth some day, but for now things would stay the same. They were friends and there shouldn't be things like this between them.

[Let's keep things moven'... I'm pretending there's a hotel nearby, regardless of actual Seattle geography. :3 ]
Ok, B.S. aside. Time for little girlies to get out of the streets after dark... She pulled a map out of her pocket and consulted it. Alrighty, I just need to go thata way.... wait... didn't I just come from that direction? Ah, crap... She set her bag down. Ok, so I remember walking this way... but I turned right, not left... she turned the map over, Ok, that's better... but... she looked up. Ok, if I can just find that street... I think it's this way... She picked her bag up again and set down the road. I really hope I don't run into any wierdos... She put the map away so as to not attract attention.

[Was hoping that more people would have joined in, but I guess not]
Before Alex and Dragon can move out of earshot from where they heard the howl a sharp yelp followed by snarls echo off the buildings. The few humans walking the streets stop briefly and look back before hurrying on their way.
As Raven rounds the corner final corner before reaching the hotel, she collides with a man running full force down the sidewalk, knocking her to the ground.

Though Raven was taller than many of the other ladies she knew, she was also thinner and lighter. Upon the surprise contact, she dropped everything she was holding and went flying a couple feet.
"OOF!" she half yelped, half grunted as the man barrelled into her, "HEY! WATCH IT!" Ow! That hurt! She slowly got up, mentally checking for any pain. If I had just held onto my stuff, maybe I wouldn't've flown back so far... she joked to herself in thought.

[Raven's Gnosis + Perception = 6, difficulty 6] [7 & 9; two successes] ((ST note: Ignoring the two 1s for story purposes))
As the man helps Raven gather her things, she notices the scent of another Garou emanating from the man and even more she recognizes the Silver Fang scent.
He hands her the things he has recovered for her. An uncomfortable look crosses his face for a moment before it returns to the worried, but still arrogant look it was before. "Shadow Lord, as much as I hate to admit it, I require your help. I'm looking for my daughter. She is missing and I think the Wyrm may have something to do with it."

[Yay for convenient ignoring! biggrin ]
Raven remember what she'd read and heard about the Silver Fangs, she had to use much of her willpower from curling her lip. Well, most of what she was told about them was from a fellow Shadow Lord, the Black Furies didn't say much about them, so there was contempt. Misguided or not. She raised an eyebrow in contemptuous skeptisism.
"Really, now? We're..." she was going to say 'just a few blocks from a rather large Cairn of tougher and more experienced Garou, why me? What have you done to piss them off?' but stopped herself. Don't play your cardsjust yet. Maybe you can learn this guy's secret, yes? She changed her expression to sympathy [GOD, I hope I gave her Performance points. D: ] and said, "Alright. I'll help you. What clues and/or leads do you have so far? Also what is your daughter's name, and what does she looks like?

[Manipulation + Performance; Difficulty 8] [Successes: 9, 8, 10] ((ST Note.............lol I was truly expecting you to not pass that.)) ((ST Note #2 BFU and Panda, you NEED to post soon else it will count as inaction which will change the story. (and for those wondering, yes I am yelling at myself)))
The man is visibly taken aback by Raven's response and he pauses for a few seconds before answering. "Not much, her friend called an hour ago to say that my daughter had left her coat with her. They had spent the day together shopping and apparently she was catching a ride from a guy she had met." He paused before continuing. "You must think I'm over protective, but there has been a rash of incidents regarding pre-change and kinfolk children of local sept members. She should still be downtown somewhere, you haven't seen or heard anything strange have you?"

What a roll! :O I guess this guy'll think I'm sincere. The fool! MWAHAHA! XD] Raven raised an eyebrow. "I wouldn't say you were overprotective if you heard your daughter had disappeared after getting a ride from 'a guy she met', disappearing kinfolk or not," she commented, "No, I have not seen or heard anything wierd since I got here. Was her friend descriptive at all about this 'guy', his car, or where they were headed? Also, do you have any pictures of her, or atleast a description? I may have seen her on the way here," she said, simply offering any possible helpful suggestion that came to mind. "Oh, by the way," she held out her hand, "My name is Raven. I strange name for a little white girl, I know, but it's true." [Oh, Raven. Always so P.C. mad ]

"Mathew" he answered as he shook Raven's hand. "She didn't say much, not exactly the type who will talk to a friend's parents, just left her message and hung up. Not exactly sure what she was wearing, but she's around 6 7 or 6 8, short read hair and she always has on a small gold locket and-"
Before Mathew could continue, a man walking at a brisk pace almost collided with him, but swerved to the left at the last second. He had a look of uncertainty and fear on his face and he looked back down the path past Raven and Mathew a few times before rounded a corner and disappeared from view.
"Welcome to Seattle, city where everyone tries to knock you over." Mathew said cynically with a smile, but it fades quickly. "Anyway I've covered most of the places where she would normally be, but there are still a bunch around the Space Needle that I haven't covered yet."

6 foot 7?! Shouldn't be too hard to miss... she thoughts interrupted by the what would've been the second man to knock her over. She was a bit alarmed by his facial expression, and looked in the direction he looked.
"Let's go then, shall we?" wanting to get out of the way of whatever was possibly following that man, "But first, I'd like to drop off the stuff I won't need at my hotel. These bags are a bit heavy..."

"What?" "I said come on. It sounds like it needs help" Erica pulled him into the complex towards the inner courtyard. "Hold on I'll go, but things might get out of hand. You need to stay here." "Alright" He brushed away the thoughts of that being too easy just glad that for once Erica hadn't put up a fight.

[ST note: Guys I’m all for free will and such, but please at least head into the Seattle Center. You don’t have to do anything once you are there, I will leave that up to you, but it is important that you are at least there.] [I want to apologize if I introduced your character incorrectly, or a little off color, a lot of the profiles were extremely general on your character's past and how they got to Seattle so I had to add some stuff. I also want to apologize for the lack of variation between how you all are reacting to the gunshots, but I need you all at the center.]
[Raven] “Of course.” Mathew waits outside while you check into your room and drop off your belongings. After the two of you hurriedly head back into the heart of downtown Seattle. The two gunshots don’t seem like much to you, but Mathew immediately starts off towards their source.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ [Alex] As your eyes change, becoming more accustomed to the darkness, the scene in the inner courtyard sharpens. The scent of blood taints the air and something else, but you can’t quite stick your finger on it. Four men are standing over a body lying on the concrete path that surrounds the fountain, even in the lack of light something about them seems familiar. "Damn b***h put up a fight didn't she?" "Silver Fangs always do. But nevertheless if you had followed my instructions you wouldn’t have suffered any wounds." "This one won’t be broken as easily as the others, she will need to be brought back to the Hive first. Your foolishness-" The third member turned as he spoke and seeing you raised his gun and fired twice. [Alex’s Perception + Dodge = 4, difficulty 6] (dice #8-11) [Successes: 7, 6, 8] You duck down as the two bullets pass over your head and burrow into the side of the Center House.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ [Vala] Your visit to the WPZ sept proved less than fruitful. The zoo was closed for the night especially for Garou that weren’t listed as locals, Glasswalker paranoia once again rears its ugly head. The guards did tell you that the Cairn will be open to newcomers tomorrow at the moot. You figure that a walk around the blight on Gaia’s face wouldn’t kill you and chances are that there is someone to rough up in this weaver cesspool. Any downtown being this empty even at this hour is odd, but hell isn’t this the city where people kill themselves because it rains so much? Maybe there aren’t that many people. [Vala 's Gnosis + Perception = 7, difficulty 7] (dice #1-7) [Successes: 7]
As you round the corner two Garou pass you heading back towards the Seattle Center. It might be nothing, but one of them had a worried look on his face and they were moving rather fast. Regardless of what was really going on, it promised to be interesting.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ [Jason] Sometimes it pays to be part of a garou sept, like now for example. They are all so busy chasing their tails over what is happening to their children that they don’t even bother to look in the most obvious places. Most of their problems could be solved if they would take the time to pull their heads out of their asses and start trusting each other, but if they did that they watching them wouldn’t be as fun. You had heard the first two rounds of gunshots, but the third ruled out it being some foolish child putting bullet holes in the wall. Something was going on inside the center.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ [Ferhin] It wasn’t the best place you could think of to be, but Seattle had its advantages. The local sept wasn’t all bad even though they look at you as if you were some creature of the wyrm, apparently binding a demon to yourself is not too common in Garou society, but they did put you up in an apartment, which s more than you can say about anywhere else. The Garou at the sept had suggested that you spend some time looking around the city getting used to being in the urban environment, but there was nothing to do in this blight of glass and steel. Two gunshots resound through the ally you are in. Looks like there is something to do after all.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ [Bob] John hadn’t been too helpful with any information on the supposed rash of assaults and kidnappings that had been spreading all over the city. It was strange enough that the incidences were never reported by the family, only by random people passing by when it happened. Something strange was happening in this city and you are eager to find what it is. The two gunshots were faint, but still audible, kicking your journalistic mind into overdrive. City violence happens every day, but every reporter has to start out small.
