One of those "childhood memories" fanfics whee I hope you enjoy it!

Winry sighed. Lately, the Rockbell home has been rather.. messy. Parts that were to become automail were left everywhere along with tools that were supposed to be put away into the tool box. Other things had already started to gain dust with boxes that were unlabeled and contained things Winry or Pinako didn't bother to take out again. Their home really needed the attention it deserved.

Winry had decided to clean the house while Pinako paid her full attention to customers. She held her duster in her right hand and a slightly wet rag in the other. It was really hard work, and by the time she was done, a full three hours had passed.

"Whew! I'm all done!" She looked around as she glanced at the work she had done. "Huh?" Sitting neatly next to the bottom step of the stairs was a dusty box. Winry lightly hit herself on the head. "I must've missed it." She walked over to the box and noticed another thing. Sticking out of a small gap was something that looked like an album.

Curiously, she sat on her legs as she used her gloved hands to pick up the box and wiped the dust off the box in the opposite direction. The wind blew and the dust made it's way towards Winry. She slightly coughed while waving her hand to direct the dust away from her. After successfully getting rid of the dust, she opened the box and took out the object that was sticking out of the box. On it read, "ROCKBELL PHOTO ALBUM".

"A photo album?" Winry muttered.

She opened it and scanned the pages of the photo album. One page was full of photos of Ed and Al's father, mother, and her grandmother while the other page was full of photos with her mother and father. She turned the page again, and stopped. Her eyes traveled to a photo on the left page. It was a photo of Ed, Al, and Winry. Ed was holding onto a baby Al and Winry was reaching her hand out to Al. Next to the photo was a description that read, "Ed (4), Winry (3), and Al (2)".

Winry smiled as she took off her glove and ran her finger around the rim of the photo, or at least the plastic it was inside. She remembered the time Ed and her first met.

His mother held onto Ed's small hand as she guided him to the Rockbell residence while cradling a baby Al. Three knocks and they were immediately greeted by Mrs. Rockbell.

"Why don't you play with Winry, Ed?" His mother asked, smiling sweetly at Ed.

Ed nodded and made his way over to the girl who was surrounded by knicknacks and toys. He had never met her before today. Everytime he did come over, she was either somewhere else or sleeping.

Winry looked up from her doll. "Hm?"

Ed huffed in some air then let it out. "I'm Ed."

Silence. No words were coming from either of them while the adults were talking with each other. Winry looked down to her doll then looked back up at Ed. "My name... ish Winry.."

"That's a pwetty name." Ed complimented as he sat down next to her. He grabbed the doll from Winry's hand and looked at it. He glanced at Winry then realized she wasn't crying. Just staring at Ed.

'Why isn't she like other girls who cried whenever they got something taken from them?', Ed asked himself.

Winry giggled a bit at Ed's confused expression. Ed looked away and practically shoved the doll towards Winry. "Here."

After a few hours, Ed left with his mother and Al. They were walking down the dirt road towards their house. "How do you like Winry, Ed?" asked his mother.

Ed thought for a moment. "I like her!"
