...whether Ghostwriter was ever on Nick? It aired around the time period that Nick rocked, so it's possible; but still, I'm not sure.

It aired on Nick early in the morning. (Around 7:00-ish,)
It also aired on Noggin for a while. I know that isn't Nick, but it's a network owened by Nick.

Hmm. I thought so. I remember seeing Ghostwriter on Noggin, but it was a different (newer) version.

I used to watch it on Nick. It was on there for one year. At least, at the time I was awake.
I loved that show. I loved it. It scared me when I was a kid, with the whole Goopy Gus thing. I had nightmares of that dude, and I used to see images of him on canyon walls when we drove to Disneyland.

Tcha. It was a fav of mine. 
Goopy Gus...I remember him! He was pretty scary - I hope he didn't scar you for life. Correct me if I'm wrong, be wasn't he in the episode "Attack of the Slime Monster"?
As far as the kids...remember Lenny Fraizer? She was a songtress, and if memory serves correctly, there was an episode in which everybody starred in one of her music videos.
Then there was Jamal Jenkins, Alex and Gaby Fernandez, Rob Baker, Hector Carrero, and Tina Nguyen. Tina and Hector weren't part of the original crew; Rob was a member who left. 3nodding

I thought that the concept of Goopy Gus was in a couple episodes. He was actually only in one episode. I think he was in "Attack of the Slime Monster."

I never saw it while it was on Nick. I stuck to mostly the after-school shows.

But you missed a lot. What a show. 
It was on PBS around...4:00 ~ 5:00ish. I say because I'm wondering if you saw it to begin with (forgive me if I misunderstand your post).

You guys missed out. That was one of the best shows I've every seen. It's right up there with Ren & Stimpy.
