This is where you get to (civily) state your opinions on the US president, GW Bush. Key word, civily.
My standpoint: I don't like him. I think we should be going after the actual terrorists, not searching for imaginary WMDs in iraq. We're killing more of our men and Osama Bin Ladin is still out there. I don't get that. Also, this country is in the most debt it has ever been in. Gas prices are sky high, as are taxes. I didn't like Bush's father, and I don't like him. But that's just me. ^_^

As a civil debator, I will have to agree with Amaris here. Bush can't run his country like his father, and his father was bad.
We have Saddam Hussein, but now he's probably thinking which style of execution Saddam will experience. His response to 911 was good, but his response to Katrina was a 1. He doesn't know how to efficiently use his troops and the funds for the Katrina effort.
He's mainly to blame for the gas prices, as are the gas giants Exxon/Mobil and Chevron. They're making money off of the poor and middle class people, us, of America.
He got so close to being impeached, but I think those were rumors.
Hopefully, he doesn't ******** Iraq up before he leaves, and lets the next president take the heat.

I toally agree with you. Bush has done NOTHING for katrina And the gas prices are just too high i mean we sometimes had to run on fumes in my mom's car cus the prices were like $2.50 per gallon, but at least he won't be able to run for president again cuz he has already been in office twice. He won the first 2 times because he is the son of former president makeing the ppl think he was just as good as his dad.

after he secretly signed an order authorizing warrantless searches (when the patriot Act just required a judicial record, no proof of ncessity, the warrants were already easy to get, but they wanted to hid their paper trail) he told a public gathering that there would never be searches without a judicial warrant.
he looked them in the eye and promised them.
that shows his lack of character.
he made up intelligence to justify attacking Iraq which was no threat to us.
he has put us deeper in debt than any other president, by FAR.
we also have the worst trade deficits ever, because his policies discourage local american manufacture, in favor of transnationals.
he cut student loans, and got a law preventing students from declaring backruptcy (although big corporations can void their employees pensions through bankruptcy still).
he cut funding for Small Business Administration, air traffic control, and many other non-ideological programs which previous Republicans had always supported.
these are just a few examples.
i don't like him as a man, a leader, or a policymaker.
