Those of you from Deciples of GS know about this, it's the GS3 project! Why are we doing this? Because Camelot's taking too damn long to do it themselves. That is why I have started the GS3 project. It is up to us to create new Golden Sun, Golden Sun: Twilit AlchemyWhat is Golden Sun: Twilit Alchemy? It takes place at the end of the Second Golden Age, and the project is headed by me. Not sure when (or even if, but my fingers are crossed) it will be finished, but here are the specs: Confirmed Main Characters: Keeya: Venus adept. Age 16. Though she hasn't learned to use Psynergy yet, Keeya is appointed by the Wise One to stop the lighthouses from being extinguished. At first unsure of herself, she soon realizes more is at stake than they thought... Wields heavy weapons. Earthblade Class. Class Progression: Earthblade (Venus x 0) Groundblade (Venus x 2) Clayblade (Venus x 4) Stoneblade (Venus x 6) Venusblade (Venus x 8) Alexi: Ceres adept. Age 16. Keeya's childhood friend, Alexi takes up the task that the Wise One apponted to her and Keeya. When it is learned that her younger brother, Mikhail, has gone missing, she snaps Keeya back into her senses in order to find him and prevent alchemy from being destroyed. Weilds Staves and Maces. Tiller Class. Class Progression: Tiller (Venus x 0, Mercury x 0) Planter (Venus x 1, Mercury x 1) Grower (Venus x 2, Mercury x 2) Farmer (Venus x 3, Mercury x 3) Harvester (Venus x 4, Mercury x 4) (Name): (Bio) Fulgora Elemental, Operator class, Heavy Weapons user, Male Class Progression: Operator (Mars x 0, Jupiter x 0) Repairer (Mars x 1, Jupiter x 1) Mechanic (Mars x 2, Jupiter x 2) Technitian (Mars x 3, Jupiter x 3) Engineer (Mars x 4, Jupiter x 4) (Name): (Bio) Sol Elemental, Sol Adept, Polearm user, Male Class Progression: Sol Adept (Sol x 0) Sol Fighter (Sol x 2) Sol Warrior (Sol x 4) Sol Knight (Sol x 6) Sol Hero (Sol x 8) (Name): (Bio) Luna Elemental, Luna User, Polearm user, Female Class Progression: Luna User (Luna x 0) Luna Brave (Luna x 2) Luna Guard (Luna x 4) Luna Lord (Luna x 6) Luna Master (Luna x 8) [more to come] New elements: Ceres: Earth based plant manipulation. Has the properties of earth, but gets its power from both earth and water. Mefitis: Fire based volcanic manipulation. Has the properties of fire, but gets its power from both fire and earth. Fulgora: Wind based lightning manipulaion. Has the properties of wind, but gets its power from both wind and fire. Bruma: Water based ice manipulation. Has the properties of water, but gets its power from both water and wind. New element type: Twilight elements Sol: Light manipulation. Luna: Darkness manipulation. Correlation between the elements of Alchemy and the elements of Twilight: In the begining, darkness covered everything. All that existed, was darkness, and nothing else. Then a single ray of light pieced the darkness. It was that ray of light that created Weyard and the elements: Earth, Wind, Water, and Fire. In return, the elements keep the light from going out. Darkness challenges the elements, causing them to adapt and evolve. Likewise, the elements cause the darkness to evolve with them as well. In the first Golden Age, the elements had the chance to fully evolve and work in harmony with both light and darkness, it was a literal paradise. Until, that is, one group tried to take advantage of the peace. Afterward, the lighthouses were discovered, and the stars removed and stored in a makeshift chamber in the Sol Sanctum for when the world was ready for alchemy again. What happend to Alex is revealed... the hard way... (Yes! You get to fight him!) Find out why the Anemos left, and get to expore Luna and the Luna Sanctum. New psynergy (duh), new summons (duh agian), no more needing to mix elements for summons. Full 3D cutscenes planned. New weapon user type: Polearm weilder (uses spears and glaives) Mixed classes planned: For Fulgora and Bruma: Swordfighter --> Kensei Hunter --> Hitman --> Assassin Fencer --> Magiblade --> Magic Knight For Ceres and Mefitis: Black Mage --> Death Mage Rogue --> Dancer --> Chaos Mage Psychic --> Mediator --> War Mage For Luna: For Sol: For Venus and Mars: For Jupiter and Mercury: Please provide suggestions, both for change and otherwise, as they are always welcome. Current GS3 Crew: Enki-chan: Project leader, story planner .Punk.Rocker.Warrior.: Sprite Artist, 3D Cutscene guy, story planner GS3Fundraiser: Enki's mule, Project budget Show what you have to offer, and join the crew! And last but not least, if it is released it will be for the Visual Boy Advance, to avoid being sued.

You guys can program? Oh wow. But some critisism first, then some advice. I don't really like the Ceres sub-class names. It's simply too farmerish and I find it too humorous to take it seriously. And As for the Fulgora, don't forget the timeline of Golden Sun in according to Earth's own history. Because the GS world focuses on alchemy, I highly doubt they have much technological advances. Even from the previous two installments, you may've noticed that the time period somewhat resembles that of the early Middle Ages, with the exception of the caravans, because those just look like the Wild Western caravans. But yea, if you're planning to introduce technological elements (dennotatively speaking), you can't expect it to take place immediately after GS2. in fact, I would encourage this to take place some time after GS2. And for some reason, I have a feeling that the Sol and Luna elements will undoubtedly be the most powerful elements in the game. You might want to give them a horrible weakness to counterbalance their strengths.
As part of the GS series, it wouldn't be any fun without cameos from the old characters, now would it? You're on the right track by introducing the game with some new characters, rather than dwelling on the old ones, but you may want to change the way they start the quest. If the Wise One did send them on the mission, I have a feeling that he would've sent Isaac's crew, since he is more acquainted with them, not to mention that they're already well trained. So personally, I recommend you change the way they enter the plot.

Sounds fantastic! I'm going to be a writer once I get out of highschool,I would love to help with the dialogue(as long as someone can do spellcheck and edit) But WHAT is a Visual Boy Advance? When it comes to writing I'm useless with details, but my skill is in dialogue. I would just DIE to help! And I would love to help with your Operator Adept. My kinda character! mrgreen

Why does this seem like you looked at our RP and built the plot off of that? Darkness? lighthouses being winked out? And I shall directly quote, "In the first Golden Age, the elements had the chance to fully evolve and work in harmony with both light and darkness, it was a literal paradise. Until, that is, one group tried to take advantage of the peace. Afterward, the lighthouses were discovered..." We have not taken the RP any further than that basically. Although, it does seem as if you have been watching us? confused blaugh

Although, it does seem as if you have been watching us? confused blaugh Well, I was inspired by an RP, but it was a PM rp between a friend of mine and myself. I had no idea about what was going on in this guild, nor any RPs within. Quote: isnt this already going on in another guild????? Yes, and by me, too. But I need help, and I'll need to get as many people with adequete (sp?) skills as possible on the project. The best way to do that is to mention it in every non-RP GS Guild. Quote: You guys can program? Oh wow. But some critisism first, then some advice. I don't really like the Ceres sub-class names. So personally, I recommend you change the way they enter the plot. As for cameos, you get to kick Alex's a** if that counts for anything. As for the Alexi, YOU come up with a class series that works. As for the Fulgora Elemental, yeah, I already thought of that. Technology is a fledgeling thing even though it's been tens of thousands of years since the end of GS2. This guy is from the city where it's being developed. Also, notice they're not using stuff like guns. That kind of thing is obsolete compared to what they have. Besides, the technology is powered by psynergy, not electricity, so it's plausible. Isaac and crew have long since died of old age. They don't get any time in this game. At all. Yes, Piers is dead, too. Yes, I have intended for this to be at the END of the second golden age. It's not like it's going to end in four or five years. I'm giving it time for the elements to evolve, roughly 35,000 years after GS2. I have no intention of changing the plot. NEXT!

Yes, Piers is dead, too. Hm...I must've missed the part about it taking place thousands of years after Issac's generation. Lemme help you with the ...er...Tiller class right? Naturalist Botanist Mendel(lian) Forester Seedling Biologist In no particular order. You can also feel free to change the prefixes/suffixes, as long as you like the roots I've provided. I dunno, I just thought that all the names in the Tiller class seem a bit too farmer-esque, although you can say that the samples I've provided is too scientifical as well. Don't forget those hybrid classes with combinations from all four Djinns or at least three of them anyways. Just remember to balance the amount of psyenergy, so then things don't get too specific. Some players may become frustrated, because the psyenergy between classes are so split, and they may want a specific psyenergy from one class, and another psyenergy from another, etc. Unless you put up variations of psyenergy with the same effect. However, you shouldn't create too much of that. And lots of puzzle goodies should be included.

This is sounding very interesting. 3nodding My mention to the whole thing about you seemingly taking bits from our Role Play.... Yeah... I just noticed that, even though different, the things that go on in our RP are extremely similar to that of the previous games even though the plost has almost completely changed and keeps changing. The main difference is that the Demons in our RP never took place in either of the Golden Suns. So, that is one main and almost only difference. sweatdrop Starting fresh with new characters sounds fun, though. I will miss Garet, though. sweatdrop crying heart I really want to kick the crap out of Alex, too! evil Backstabbing b*****d... stressed

It's your choice concerning the class progression, since it is your game. I was giving suggestions from my personaly opinion, but yes, it doesn't seem too bad, but the class names still seem sort of off for some reason. Well, just use the current list as a placeholder until you can think of better class names.

Who's going to write the dialouge (sp? I'm half asleep right now..) And, I like the way the class's work out. One thing bothers me though. The two new elements. Like stated above, they need glaring weaknesses in order to coexist, other than each being weak to the other, it would seem best to make it an allround weakness to each element since they're not a natural occuring type.

Like stated above, they need glaring weaknesses in order to coexist, other than each being weak to the other, it would seem best to make it an allround weakness to each element since they're not a natural occuring type. Okay, let's see. Did you bother to read the lore? Light and Darkness are weak to each other, but take nomal damage to the elements of Alchemy. The Elements of Alchemy are weak to their opposites, but take normal damage from the elements of Twilight. Alchemy and Twilight exist in a mutually benefitial relationship. Light created the elements of Alchemy. In turn, they keep the light lit by keeping everthing alive. Darkness challenges the elments of Alchemy to grow, evolve, and adapt. In turn, they keep darkness from growing out of control. On an added note, now all Alchemy elements: Earth, Fire, Wind, and Water, will be able to heal. Earth: Single --> Cure series. Multiple --> Heal series (?). Fire: Single --> Warm series (?). Multiple --> Aura series. Wind: Single --> Breath series (?). Multiple --> Breeze series (?). Water: Single --> Ply series. Multiple --> Wish series. (?) = tenative. Light and Dark are unable to heal. The various rocks have now grown back into full fledged mountains. Mount Gaia --> Sand for Keeya, Wither for Alexi Mount Aqua --> Parch for ???, Melt for ??? Mount Air --> Reveal for ???, Charge for ??? Mount Magma --> Blaze for ???, Harden for ??? Mount Dusk --> Illuminate for ???, Enshroud for ??? There will be removal psynergies for each: Earth --> Grind ... Wood --> Wither Fire --> Extinguish ... Lava --> Harden Wind --> Empty ... Bolt --> Sap Water --> Parch ... Ice --> Melt Light and dark will be able to counter each other via Illuminate and Enshroud. Oh, and you can control who leads the party by whom is in the lead spot. In other words, you can chose to go as any of the playable characters on the world map, not just Alexi/Keeya.
