Faqs:
-Charles and Ray Beams are named after Charles Eames and Ray Eames, two married designers (known for the film Powers of Ten). Their names may also be a reference to soul legend Ray Charles, in keeping with the series's tradition of naming characters and places after things having to do with music.

Oh boy i saw their first appearance today and boy they look to be something! I was amazed by their LFOs (Or are they KLFs?) those laser attacks are kick-a**!

I think they're KLF's but I believe they're referred to as LFO's in the series. I really liked Ray and Charles. They were rare examples of the kind of characters that are the enemy, but not really bad guys. Part of me wonders what it would have been like if Renton stayed with them.

I wondered how they would do voices for Charles and Ray. Now that I've seen the first dubed ep with them in it... I guess I shouldn't be surprised. Charles voice is okay. Not quite as deep as I'd like but hey that's to be expected.
Rays voice though. Sheeesh. She sounds 18?!? Maybe it'll grow on me. Who knows.

Charles and Ray are like the best parents a kid could have.
Even though they were the enemy, it was all circumstance. They had to do what they had to do.......

There was a line in the last episode where Renton said, "it's not like the Monsuno. The layout is more like the Terminus series." That would infer that they're LFO. Tonights ep is mostly filler but there might be more tidbits like that we can pick up. biggrin

Seriously. I haven't seen anything above v4 so I couldn't say but it's hard to see them leaving the beams out. I hope they show up eventually.

Spoiler kindaI thought it was really sweet (you now romantic) How Ray was going to her arm after it got serverd with the ring form Charles, that is true love. Too bad she didn't make it. It was so sad to see em go. crying they were great charecters but I think they taught Renton alot and helped him in his Journy Onward gonk

Charles and Ray were basically Renton's parents. They were the closest things to parents he's ever had. Renton learned alot fom them...
