Muse played in Chicago two nights ago. Today, I read an article about them in the Tribune. It pretty much said that they're bad live, and sound like Queen and Radiohead.
First of all, Muse does not suck live. I haven't seen them live, however I have heard live tracks. They're one of the bands that actually sound better live, and that's saying a lot considering how much I love Muse un-live. Also, the writer apparently failed to realize that Muse came second internationally for best live act, and only came second to Fall Out Boy, which may be the worst band to hit the music industry. Ever. And I'm not just saying that because they beat Muse. I hate their music, I hate how they look, and I hate their incredibly immature and sex obsessed personalities. I. Just. Hate. Them.
Second, there's not a single genuine Muse fan who is not sick and tired of constant comparisons to other bands. I'm not really going to go in depth about this fact, because I'm sure every one of you knows it already.

eek eek Burn his house down!! Evil evil man...(or woman XP) And let's not mention Muse at second place. Let's mention the fact that they did win best live act at Q, NME and the bloody Brit Awards last year and the year before; and I'm pretty sure, had it not been for the lack of music being produced (due to the album and touring) they would have been up for a lot more this year and 2005 too, and won. Muse are absolutely amazing live and I can't wait to go and see them. For someone to publish that they were terrible is just...it's like saying that all of these new bands are actually decent. It's blasphemy. And If I ever find out where that guy lives...well, you don't want to know... confused

Burn his house down, you say? Can I help? Pretty pretty please? I agree that they would have been up for a lot more awards and such this year, especially since now they're becoming more known- which may or may not be a good thing. Good thing because: more people liking good music can never be bad. And as long as Muse stays clearheaded and doesn't choose to try to please the public too much, it can never be a bad thing. And I'm pretty sure Muse is intellegent enough to steer clear of conformity of other crappy bands with huge fan bases.
Hehe- I was aware that they won at Q, NME, and the British Awards, but I just had to bring up the fact that they lost to Fall Out Boy because I bloody hate Fall Out Boy with a burning passion and they fact that they won just goes to prove that the society (music wise) is declining. Fast.

But of course it would have been much more fun if I'd been able to cuddle Matt...and then beat the daylight out of everyone that didn't vote for muse. whee Debase Masons Grog There's worse, the Yahoo guy compared COD to Radiohead evil O rly? Seems like I'll be going on a burning-house spree...

Skye.mu O rly? Seems like I'll be going on a burning-house spree... Can I join you on that? I really get annoyed when anyone compares Muse to Radiohead: we've heard it before and we aren't going to be more convinced by it when you say it again. I've gotten mad at a fair share of people (and magazine articles.) sweatdrop Is shouting at a magazine healthy?

3nodding of course it is. I do it all the time when I flick open a page with green day on it. Same is for hugging a magazine when you see Muse XP I do that a lot too. But yeah; we all need to get together and burn some stuff...and I've been kind of annoyed with a lot of places lately seeing as how Muse's BHAR and 'The Eraser' came out at the same time; and some comparisons flairing up again. It's annoying.

Ugh, yeah, people have been comparing Muse to Radiohead since forever *stabity stab* I yell at inanimate objects all the time. Like that newspaper article. And that article I saw in spin...or was it another magazine? I think it was spin. Oh, and the TV. I yell at the TV a lot. Oh yes, and everytime I see the words, "Fall Out Boy," or their picture.
Oooh, and on an unrelated note, TiRO played during the White Sox game yesterday.

Well, don't care about that. American jurnalist are very late. Muse was compared to Radiohead when they played their first album, but we welcomed them well in France...let's see...it was Spetember, 7th, 1999... So Muse yet passed trough those stupid jurnalists. They are like GODS in France ! For many years !!!! What's stupid is that the jurnalist surely does not know about Muse's success in Europe ! Stupid guy !
