As I said in my introduction, I'll start thinking (scribbling thumbnail sketches at work) on the matter of creating a banner or two for my guild--and I DON'T charge my own guild for banners! Still working on an idea or two for Carolina Gaia, first....

I know that I saw 'Ode to a Slinky' somewhere, but I have no idea where it was. I'll have to find it now, or it'll drive me insane... I'm OC like that.
Something along the lines of: 'O! springy, helical tumbler...' Etc, etc, etc. I know it had 'Slinktasticity unparalleled' somewhere in it.

xp I had a slinky when I was a kid. I could never get it to walk down stairs like the ones in the commercials did. Then it got a kink in it & wouldn't do much of anything. I'd prefer an ode to Lincoln Logs or Tinkertoys. mrgreen

I always had the best fun with a wooden dowel, length of string and a cardboard box. It's incredible what you can do with just those three, maybe adding in a collander every now and again. SPACE CADET!!!

It's hilarious, in my mind. Then again, I'm very easily amused. Once one of my friends and I were talking about Sherlock Holmes, and I said "Hey! I wonder who lives in 221a!" So we decided it's us (my friend and me), in an alternate universe. Just thought I'd say that...why I'm saying it in this thread, I have no idea...
