JewishTexan I don't think they ever had much ska in them to begin with, but thats just my opinion feel free to disagree. i really thought they were less ska than most bands, they had really fast horn sections but alot of it was overpowered by the guitar and every cd they lose some horns, of course they also becoming more mainstream and that seems to be part of it

yah it seems when a ska band bcomes more popular they become more punk rock to fit in with everyone else and gain more popularity and they loss a bit of the ska crowd but gain alot of they preps and punks.

Their earlier stuff, like all my best friends are metalheads, was quite ska, and they were always ska/punk. But it's emo they've gradually gone to, not Punk or Rock.

Hey kiddies, if you want real ska then you should listen to the Skatalites. That's some good old first wave for you. Throw the skate-core s**t in the trash and go pick up some traditional ska today!
I'm sorry I'm such an a**, I'm sort of drunk... and I'm proud when it comes to my ska music.

I don't know the aquabats kinda get on my nerves.
I think the best example of modern ska is Suburban Legends.

They're slowly drifting into other forms of music. MAkes me sad. I like their old music with all of the horns and saxamaphones.

Less Than Jake has always sounded the least ska-ish to me. x] If that makes sense. Honestly I think like the most third wave ska example of a song would be, Road Rash by Mad Caddies. I'm not saying it's really good and you guys can disagree with me. But, I say it sounds alot like Ska would sound like. If all the other bands didn't add so much punk, or emo into theirs. But there is still alot of good Ska bands. x] Go Planet Smashers!! =D
