Colin Andrew Mochrie was born Nov. 30 1957 in Kilmarnock, Scotland. The son of an airline maintenance executive, moved to Canada in 1964 to Montreal and finally to Vancouver in 1969. When asked about his childhood, he said he tended to be a bit of a loner because of moving around so much, but other then that he was a pretty typical kid. "I fought with my younger brother, was protective of my younger sister and didn't get my parents." After he dropped out of school in BC he did theatre sports and there he met Ryan Stiles. They have known eachother for over 20 years. In 1989 he married comedianne Debra Mcgrath and they have one son Luke. He worked at Second City in Toronto before joining the British WLiiA? Colin and his family once resided in Los Angeles but came back to Canada after difficult circumstance. Currently, he does various television and movie work. He guested on Drew Carey show including one live performance with the cast of Whose Line. He played Eugene and was very funny!! Currently Whose Line has been renewed for it's third season and it begins filming in July. Colin just won an Canadian Comedy award for male improviser.One of the busiest actors in Canada, Colin Mochrie began his acting career on the stage, spending a great part of his early career in improvisational theater with The National Touring Company. He later went on to star in such popular stage productions like "She Stoops to Conquer" and "The Brady Bunch." This fall, he reprises his popular ten-year role in the American version of the British improvisational series, Whose Line Is It Anyway?. Concurrently, he is writing and starring in the Canadian comedy series, Supertown Challenge, as well as shooting the sitcom, Black Fly. He has been featured in numerous other television series and telefilms, including John Woo's Once a Thief, Love, Sex and Other Natural Disasters and The Campbells. In addition to his work in television and theater, Mochrie has been featured in the films, The Real Blonde and January Man.
