She heard it. It was everywhere. She looked around to see if she could find it. Nothing. She could neither feel nor hear it either. For the first time she felt some emotion she had tried to put away long ago... fear. Suddenly, She could hear a deep, heavy breathing, as though someone were dying or extremely angry. She felt warmth behind her and slowly turned around...
She woke up breathing havily, eyes wide. She looked around. She was next to the rock where she always slept at. She heaved a sigh and tried to make sense of it. It felt like a dream. But was there really more to it? She shook her head, riding herself of the thought. Being weak was for cougars who could not defend themselves. She would have to forget this dream before it madfe her feel that fear again. She sighed. She did not like to be with the other cougars and remained elusive so that they would not try to talk to her. Although she had great respect for the teens and adults, she still had some slight resentment in her for being just a kitten. She swore under her breath and curled once again into the ball that she went into when going asleep. Soon, she was breathing normally again and in a deep sleep.

Naeemah had walked around for that day, killing a few mice that passed. She had noticed Jei and Eris, two kittens, once or twice but had decided to ignore them. Today was the day she whould start training herself to become the Head Huntress. Although she would sometimes train with others. Beyond all things, Naeemah wanted to be recognized as better than some. It had been a few weeks after that dream but Naeemah had completely forgotten about it. She turned to look at what all the other cougars were doing. Some were practicing fighting, some talking to others, most likely about the latest battle. Well, this was the QuickTalon tribe after all. The tribe that cared mostly about fighting and rank. She shook her head. She had a long way to go.

She was in the little part of the forest that the QuickTalon clan had. She shivered. She felt the presence of something, many somethings. They felt cold. she tried to shake off the feeling but it followed her. So she accepted it, like she did many other things that she did not like, and decided to continue her training. She had been practicing against a stump, not the best thing but it would have to do for now. It had quite a few claw marks on it from her rushing up to attack it. She looked at her claws again. They gleamed in the moonlight, shining. She though she could even see her reflection in them.
She then continued. While she was doing this she was thinking about what she might want to become. A homemaker? No way. It was a deaming job to her and so disregarded it quickly. Shamaness. Now that would be a good spot to go for if she did not become a warrior although she would most likely not be the head. she sighed, accepting the fact that maybe, just maybe, that she was meant to be second-in-command of something rather than being head. She swiped her paw angrily at the stump. She felt the burning desire to show her talents in front of others. She looked at her hands, trying to figure out if anything was wrong with her. She concentrated on her hands, without blinking, not even trying to think about anything else.
That's when IT happened. She felt it, coursing through her hands. She did not want to believe it, but maybe, just maybe, it had acutally happened. She shook her paws, making it go away. She turned back to the stump trying to ignore just what had happened but it still clung in the back of her mind.

It had been a few days since the incident and Naeemah had completely forgotten about what had happened. She had gone back to the forest a couple of times but it had not happened since. She was going back to the forest today to continue her training. She had been practicing for a few hours when she hard something snap. She turned to look around, ears tilting in all directions. She strained her ears but could not hear anything. She started to realize this was just like in her dream...
She felt the warmth behind her as she had in her dream and slowly turned around. There was!... nothing? She looked in every direction and could not see a thing. I was probably just imagining it. She thought to herself as she sat down on the ground to think. She heard a twig snap and turned her head in the direction from where it came. It was a lost rabbit that appeared to be shivering. Naeemah her har stomach growl for she had not eaten that entire day. She stood still as to not scare the rabbit off.
After about an hour of it sniffing around and bouncing here and there, it finally came close to Naeemah. She waited until it was almost right nest to her and grabbed it. Quickly she snapped it's neck so that it would die instantly. It had almost gotten away for she had paused a second to think of what to do with it, for whe had still not decided by the time it came close to her. She then looked down at the rabbits fur. It had an unusual coloring for it's fur. It had a few shades of dark purple, black, and navy blue on it. Although it was dark, Naeemah could slightly tell the difference between the three colors. Deciding to wait till she went back to the main area of the clan, she got up and carried the rabbit with her to the camp.

Naeemah decided to rest today to contemplate on things. She had obviously failed to impress Vixa at all and she was a little nervous to approach Lyka for a sparring match since she did not think that she was good enough. She sighed as she saw other cougars walking by in the camp. She looked to her side where she had taken the rabbit skin and meat off of the bones so that they glowed an eerie white. She picked up the skull and looked at it intently. Something about it was different but she didn't know what. She felt... as if she needed it.
She looked at the other bones of the rabbit, trying to figure out what to do with them. After looking for an answer and finding none, she stood up and headed back to the forest to contemplate there about what she was going to do with the rest of her life.

She was leaning against a tree when an idea came into her head. What if she could be a warrior and a mage like Theta? It was a hard goal and she was a long way from it. She still needed to learn to battle and spar while also learning to control magic. She sighed. There were too many magic users in the tribe it seemed, so it was going to be a while before she ever go to training with Vixa. Maybe she could do it in her teenage years? She smiled at the idea though she knew she would have to practice what little she knew of magic before them. She concentrated on her hands feeling the magic flow to them. She then, taking a quick break, picked up the rabbit skull absentmindedly and concentrated again with the skull in her hands. The magic seemed to be even stronger now than it had before. She gasped and the magic withdrew immediatly from the lack of concentration.
She leaned slightly more against the tree knowing that the skull had helped to channel the magic a little more. She looked up into the trees. She needed to practice more before she even decided to take on Lyka. She stood up, trying to channel the magic into her arms, and stared at the stump she had practiced on before. Something within her was burning, wanting to get out. She raised a paw and struck at the stump, breaking off about an eigth of the stump off. She stepped back, startled at her own power.
This was a somewhat uncontrolled attack and she knew it. She sat back once again on the tree closing her eyelids so that she could meditate.

Naeemah held the skull close to her heart. She then reached down with it in her hand and put it in the makeshift knapsack that had been made by her. She had learned to make it from one of the homemakers. She smiled knowing that at least they had somewhat of a good purpose. The pack rested comfortably on her waist so that it would not chaff against her whenever she needed to run. She looked back, longingly at the camp before turning her head back and walking into the wilderness.
Something had been calling her to do this, whatever "it" was, ever since her dream. She didn't know why, but she had finally decided to to it. She felt she had to do this. Of course, she got permission from the leaders of the Quicktalon so they would not attack her when she got back.

They had whispered to each other before making their desicions, the leaders. She had even heard the words "soul quest" but did not understand the meaning of it. They had turned their heads back around and said that she could go. She thanked them and then went to collect her things.
She had not said goodbye to anyone because she had never been close to any of them. Though she would miss the camp because it had always been her home and she had never gone too far from it.
Jei, Eris, Delila, and the others all knew each other so well. She was all alone. She punched a rock out of frustration as she was walked past it. The rock broke into small piecesscattering around. She looked at her hand and saw that it was glowing once again. She sighed as she thought back to when she went to Vixa.

Nae had heard her muttering as she walked away. More magic users were bad? Nae scoffed. First of all Vixa was trying to discourage her from learning magic. Second, Nae was thinking of becoming a huntress that used magic and weapons. Although she would have like to go for head, she was reconsidering that right now. She smiled at the thought of having her first dagger and sap. The sap would be used to knowck out opponents. A slightly rare weapon but she was determined to find it. That's when it hit her. That was what she was doing this for! To find the perfect combination for sap so that she would not waste it. She would learn here, in the wilderness, how to fight and how to use magic. She laughed up into the sky, excited about what could happen.

She woke up one morning to find that the tree she was sleeping under was blocking the few rays of sunlight coming from the clouds. She yawned, stretched and looked around. It had been a few weeks since she had left the tribe to find what she was looking for. She had found it, but not without difficulty. She had to battle a few wild animals, and her magic had grown only slightly stronger. Though she fought and trained everyday, and her fighting skills were becoming better, She had begun to learn to make and prepare food for herself and random other things that homemaker's would do. She sighed as she looked up at the sky and sat back against the tree. Now, after thinking about it more, she had no idea what she wanted to be. She was pretty sure she could be trained in all areas and could become an expert, but she just didn't know. She looked at the bag that held the sap. It had not leaked out and she was glad of that. If she didn't become a magic user, she could always give it to someone else. She stood up, held her bag close, and headed back to the tribe to see if she would be accepted again, although, she wasn't that well known in the first place so really it would be if anyone remembered her...
