I've had this idea mulling about my brain for a while now, and if not without the support of others in agreeance with it, I've decided to open it up to everyone!
The Legends and the Forgotten Documents, as you already know, are sister shops. Many guardians overlap shops, too. So, I have decided to organize a joint Legend/Feedee art contest. The contest itself is only in the planning stages, which is why, of course, I'm going to open up the board to my fellow guardians and friends whose imput I highly value, <3.

As far as funds go, I'm going to keep track of two pools: overall winnings for the catagories mentioned above, and the winnings for individual catagories. What are individual catagories?Individual catagories are for those guardians who wish to host a mini-contest, if you will, for their Legend and/or Feedee. They will be required to provide the funds for first, second, and third place if they wish to have a separate catagory all their own within the contest. You are allowed to dictate what your individual catagory will entail, so long as your Legend and/or Feedee are/is the main focus of the catagory.
Basically, it means you can have a "Best [Feedee or Legend's name] Catagory" and are responsible for the prizes for it. What are the overall funds, then?These funds go toward paying for the overall prizes of the catagories listed above. Obviously, the bigger and more expensive the prizes, the more "important" a catagory they will be assigned to. Many little prizes are also required; please understand that this contest will not begin right away, thus the funds we gather from now til it does begin will rise in value. Buying sealeds every month and donating them to this contest funds pot is a great way to contribute.
Since the contest will encompass all Legends and Forgotten, I should hope everyone tries to help out in as little or big a way as they can manage. When WILL the contest start, then?This is difficult to determine. Since the Legends have less stages, they are mostly older in character than the Feedee are. Therefore, I'd like to wait and accumulate funds while waiting until most, if not all, Forgotten have reached at least child stage. What?! I have to wait that long? But my [Legend/Feedee] is already old enough!It will work in your best interests, I assure you. The older your Feedee/Legend is, the more official art you will have to use as samples. Obviously, this contest will produce a lot of interest and artwork, so I should hope that you appreciate that the older your character is, the more of a chance there is people will draw them. People can choose from a wide range of ages, especially with Feedee, if we allow them to grow up enough before charging into a contest. No one will want to draw my Legend/Feedee..I assure you, you might be surprised! (: Especially if the funds are high enough, hehe. Even if you cannot afford or are hesitant to fund an individual catagory, rest assured: I will set a number of minimum entries high enough so that it is geared toward at least three pieces of art per character involved. If your Feedee/Legend winds up with less than that in the end, I will see to it that you will receive a commission elsewhere to make up for it. Who will keep the funds/How do I donate?I have begun to accumulate funds onto my mule, innoxious, already. All donations shall be sent there, but please tell me, especially if it's a big item, what it's for. I need to keep track of the items and determine for which catagory they can be used. So if you donate something bigger than a recent donation item, please also send a PM to innoxious stating what your donation is for, either the overall winnings or an individual catagory.
I will be keeping a running total of the funds here as well as try and keep up with the worth of all the items. I should hope that by now, everyone trusts me with this duty, but if anyone is uncertain, I can entrust the password of my mule with someone else as well if need be.

Suggestions: Don't exclude the baby/toddlers! Put in a best baby/toddler category. Quite frankly, the Feedee babies and toddlers are all designed so well they make great artistic subjects, even if they only have one reference image. And like the in fa'e art contest, people can always draw a baby/toddler as s/he might look when older. It's just doesn't make any sense to me to ignore to half the character designs: "Oh, sorry, you don't have enough art." Even one piece of Lizzi art is enough to base an image on!
And while babies and toddlers aren't always very popular, having a category for them would encourage entries for the younger Feedee. And I think it'd be good to have best child/teen and best adult categories, too. (Though we haven't got any adult Feedee yet.) And based on the age the artist draws the character at, I think... Because otherwise everyone's going to just draw any teen/adult LotT. :
Also, I like art prizes that are awarded based on medium, because some pieces of art can be really fantastic but not fit into humorous/cute/sexy/etc categories. It's always my pet peeve when I draw something nice but it's not cute or funny or sexy and I just have to sit here going, "Huh. I'm not going to win anything. ._." It also helps get more talented artists in, because they know "I'm really good with traditional media or CG, I can try for the prize in that category."

Mmm, I do agree, <3. I also find, however, that a lot of people may target the older characters as art subjects, feeling more comfortable drawing them instead of babies. And while I totally agree - I so adore playing babies and toddlers - art that is applicable now may not be so in the future. It'd be a little bit of a waste of they changed, even not drastically, but enough so that the artwork doesn't really suit anymore. I'm not saying to leave out baby and toddler stages, just that it'd be fairer if the playing field is evened out a little more, n__n. Plus, we have time to accumulate funds, and during that time, I'm sure we'd all love to see growths, too.
By medium? Great suggestion, *__*. I'm not at all accustomed to the ways of art contests, and what I have down is not set in stone. I like the suggstion of medium! What types deserve their own catagories, do you think?

But it you just have a Best Baby/Toddler, Best Child/Youth, Best Teen/Adult... people would look at the categories and go, "Hmm, not many baby/toddler entries, are there?" and then they'd draw younger characters, too. I don't think we should force growths for an art contest.
And regardless of how you cut it, we're going to get entries in the contest that players won't find applicable to their characters. Artists that draw the character with the wrong personality, or mix up the outfit a bit, etc. etc. And just because your Feedee/LotT doesn't grow up looking exactly like that... it's what someone envisioned your child might look like, that's very cool! And it might encourage people who are really good at character design!
It could always be an option up to the player, though. Like I might not want imagined art of Third when he's older, so in the character info it'd just say "no older art." Except I do want to see imaginings of an older Third, I'm curious what peopel might come up with! Even if it looks nothing like Third ends up looking, I'd still display it in my gallery. And I know some guardians ahve even commissioned art of their child as s/he might look when older, so clearly there's an appetite for that sort of thing. ;P
And usually the big media categories are CG/Traditional. Some people also include Color and Monochrome, but I generally think just CG and Traditional are good. Sometimes people also include best lineart/sketch, but I think that just encourages people to submit sketches and linearts instead of finished pieces. XD

-takes notes- Mm, that's a great idea, the splitting up of stages into different catagories. I hadn't thought of that, ^^! We can reaffirm that even if they aren't at that age, it doesn't mean you can't take artistic liberties - unless explicitly stated otherwise.
Hopefully we can all pitch in to properly fund such catagories! X3;.
