In a region where the dark brooding stormclouds never recede lies an aristoratic gothic-style house. Three stories high and 13 windows wide, the multitude of rooms in the mansion is impercievable from where you stand. As you tear your eyes away from the shadowed windows, the limited light in the area allows you to see the ominous front doors. They are made of large, antique blackened cherry wood slabs, and have a large, tarnished silver inlay of a gigantic cross that splits down the middle if the doors were to open.
The wind pushes and pulls you slightly in all directions, as if urging you to stop standing there and make a decision.

The vampire-werewolf sat quietly under a lamp in a very comfortable old armchair. A black pipe hung from his mouth, emanating a soft grey smoke every now and then that smelled of pine and rain. He sniffed lightly and smiled as he turned a page in the enormous antique volume in his hands.

Illuma saw the old house...mansion...whatever it was. A chill went up her spine, as if urging her to turn around and walk away, but Illuma had a very large sence of curiousity as to what might be inside. Finally, overcoming her fears, She opened the door. It creaked with an unnatural squeak. She took two steps in and the door slammed behind her. "Just like in the movies, once again I'm trapped in an old mansion." Illuma said to herself and continued walking.

"You are not trapped," Fenrir's voice echoed through the house. He cocked an eyebrow and stood up, walking to the upstairs landing of the front entrance hall. "But you are welcome to stay, if need be." he began down the steps. "The Mansion of Ateroth is always open to wandering souls in need," he said softly, patting the railing as he reached the ground floor. His enormous cape billowed and the smoke from his pipe trailed behind him.
"I am Fenrir," he spoke softly as he removed his pipe and bowed slowly.

Akina wanders around. She had lost her way and couldn't figure how to get back to where she was. Walking along the path, she hugged herself.
"Is it cold out her, or just me?"
She asked the darkness. It took all her control to keep from turning into a wolf, being a full moon.

He smiled contentedly and walked past Illuma to the window. Rain slowly but thickly began to fall, then quickly picked up speed.
He opened one of the large doors in the entrance hall and shouted above the gale. "Come in, quickly! Even I wouldn't want to be outside when it gets like this." he waved them in.

Fenrir turned away from them and walked past a large hearth in one wall. He snapped his fingers and fire erupted in the enormous grate. He bent over and picked up several large, black heavy blankets and offered them to his guests, his normal somber look back on his face.

Akina took a blanket and whraped it around herself. She watched the fire, looking at the man occassionally, wondering who he is...what he is

"A vampire-werewolf." he answered for her. "A very old one, though I only look in my twenties..." he lay the other blankets across the back of a couch by the hearth, the crackling blaze casting shadows acorss his face in the surprisingly already well lit room.

Akina managed to say. She watched him and the fire, warming herse;f up. She droped the blanket off and took off her jacket, reavling her stomach, neck, and arms. She sat there watching the fire dance.

~You are quite beatuiful.~ he thought spoke softly to her as he turned away to sit on another almost throne-like armchair. He cracked the book open again and read for a few minutes in silence, listening to the rain and the fire.. He then looked up. "My apologies. Everyone is welcome to make your selves at home. My home is always open to others, so long as they are kind souls."

"Hm? Oh, I'm fine. I love getting vistors." he smiled lightly, a very endearing smile that the warmth and happiness behind it everyone in the room could feel. He leaned on one arm of his chair, which was so big, another person could sit in it with him, and continued reading.
