Basically this thread is a summary of Darkstar, what we're aiming to do, and how we plan to do this. Thanks to atomisk, we now have a website! View it hereMission Statement Brought to you by the awesome Defunct Adjectives! Darkstar's commitment is to that of improving society as a whole through means of international unification. More simply put, we are a group of concerned individuals, tired of all the international conflict, closed borders, and restrictive trade brought upon by the petty nature of individualized countries acting only in their own interests with no regard to others. We strive to disband political bonds and liberate the world of such a pointless and utterly strange bureaucratic system brought on by separated governments. We imagine a peaceful world in which all people enjoy their rights and dignities, not just a select few lucky enough to live in developed countries. We do not condone violent overthrow nor even aggressive political action, rather a gradual process of change in which cultures and heritage are still respected. Through this process we hope to achieve the following goals: - The reform of current governments to that which provides all walks of life with their natural rights and dignities - The unification of all nations to one government truly of and for the people - Peaceful resolution of existing conflicts through diplomatic processes - Social and economic reform to better suit a world community while still maintaining respect and room for existing cultures and traditions

Our Plan in Steps
Phase 1: Recruiting & Planning Basically where we are at. This is probably going to take a loong time, as we are to get enough supporters to where we may be able to do this if we really tried, some connections to help us out, and smart people who can point out our flaws and fix them. We will also be figuring out all the details to our plan, so we will not end up confused later.
Phase 2: Connections & Finances In this phase we will be using certain individuals to build some sort of company selling some sort of product to help us earn money. Once we have made enough (and put our logo somewhere on the product and become more well-known) we can move on to the next phase.
Phase 3: Countries This is the fun part. At this point we will have candidates in many powerful countries all over the world getting financial aid and political backup from darkstar running to lead the country he or she is in. This may take several tries, as running will not ensure being elected. Hopefully we will be viewed as the least greedy, most caring party out there.
There have also been talks of taking over smaller countries, just to increase our power and make it sound good to new recruits, though there hasn't been much discussion on exactly how we are to do this.
Phase 4: Unification Once we have some powerful countries led by us, we shall have the leaders sign treaties and such to countries that unite the economies, governments, and the countries as a whole. A bit like the European Union, but even more so.
Phase 5: Reform At this point, we will be helping the countries deal with the sudden change. This will include keeping the peace in some areas, changing the system of government worldwide, maintaining our image (PR, this is where you come in), and setting up new economic and other systems that are the same in each country.

atomisk prime wow, this topic totaly has nothing to do with this thread. and i like being athiest, you have a more open mind to things. fyi, really relidgous people wont be in the top ten because they are unreasonable, and i said so. Mind you they'll all still look like good little Christians to the public eye. Bad publicity otherwise dontchaknow? Besides there's some very intelligent religious people out there, they aren't all screaming, self-righteous, conservative douche bags.
What's this obsession with ten anyways? Who cares about the leadership right now? Anyone who actually kicks in some time, effort, and displays a level head shouldn't worry.

atomisk prime fyi, really relidgous people wont be in the top ten because they are unreasonable, and i said so. I'll disagree in thought on that one. I know a few of people who are very strict on their religious beliefs, while at the same time being completely reasonable human-beings. Once again, positions should be based upon merit over any other quality. (Granted, there aren't many people out there that can succesfully balance religion/logic, but that doesn't mean that they aren't there, nor that they are unfit to govern.)

*twitch* I just finished TRYING to make half-decent art for you, and you go and put on a tie. Well, so much for that.
Religion might actually be a good thing. I don't think that atheists are all that perfect either. Without religion, where do you get your morals?

I don't think that atheists are all that perfect either. Without religion, where do you get your morals? eh-heh... sweatdrop and... Supposedly from themselves. Mind you however, that just like in religion, there are good 'uns, and bad 'uns. Also like religion, the bad far outnumber the good (at least from my observations). But for those atheists who are able to derive a 'moral' moral system and are able to follow it, well... those are probably some of the best people I know; in almost all relevant interpretations of the word 'best'.

((Sorry I've been gone!!)
There seems to me to be a problem, and we need to take this REALLY slowly. One, there will in all liklihood be a huge backlash from others, and if we're not careful we could spark WW3. So we need to not control other countries (not obviously, at least) for a long time.. just.... like the US has dominion over the agricultural and economical situation of several countries, most of them stuff that the general public of all concerned, don't even know. We do NOT want to be identified as a terrorist group.
Second, I'm willing to work as a PR and art design person for this, and whatever. I'll go the distance with this. Do we have an actual location, an HQ yet? Or is it just online at this stage?

I am too, I guess. It's more like a division of christianity for me. Like atomisk's organisation to Darkstar. The same thing, really.
We have no real HQ yet. That's what the finance thread is for.
WOO HOO! I'm online! During detention! ninja
