4. Accepted characters Setting and Background story This story takes place within the largest city in all of Gaia: Gaiopolis (I was trying to make the name sound funny). Within the city is the most cutting edge technology, buildings so high that in some areas the sky is blocked out completely, the most successful bussinesses in all of Gaia and..........the most notorious villains known to mankind!
For this reason a man decided to form a top secret organization. What exactly is this organization? The GLH! The Gaian Legion of Heroes! A group of gifted individuals that use these gifts of theirs to protect all that is good and punish all that is evil. The founder of the organization The Dark Giant is not only the leader of the group, but also the man who provides the funding for the organization because not only is he a superhero, but he is also one of the wealthiest men in Gaiopolis Dorian Ankoku! Using his resources as well as his extraordinary abilites Dorian Ankoku A.K.A The Dark Giant along with the GLH ever vigilantly watch over the city fighting crime and protecting the citizens of Gaiopolis from the forces of evil!

4. Accepted characters Rules 1. Follow the ToS obviously. Things like romance and such are accepted, but do keep it PG-13. Also as far as violence goes keep that at a sensible level as well. Nothing too graphic folks.2. Literacy is greatly appreciated people. Do not use *'s for actions. Use "...." for speech and italics for thoughts. Also please try making your posts a few sentences long. I'm not asking for a paragraph every post, but I don't want single sentences every post either. I'll allow single sentence posts for certain situations such as perhaps extreme battles or romance scenes.3. PM me your profiles (make the subject:The GLH) and i'll post them on here upon their acceptance. I'm going to provide a profile outline for those of you that are scratching your heads right now on how to make your profile.4. Make sure to mark OoC posts with ((.....))5. Try using different colored fonts for each character so it's easier to Identify people.6. Do try to post every couple of days at least i'm hoping this RP lasts a good, long time.7. Something to remember people. Your character may be a superhero, but they're still human ok?8. Last, but certainly not least. NO GODMODDING!!! If I catch anything like that i'll first warn you, then upon the second violation you will be removed.((If you believe I left anything out please do tell me, this is my first RP after all.))

Character Name: Dorian Smith
Alias: The Dark Giant
Age: 21
Alignment: Hero
Primary Power: Super human strength
Secondary Power: The ability to traval through shadows
Appearance: Dorian is 6'10. He has a very muscular build because of his immense strength. His hair is curly, but he keeps it cut short. His eyes are crimson colored. He usually has a rather serious look on his face.
Normal Clothes: He wears a dark red t-shirt with baggy black jeans.
Super Hero Costume: He wears a Black muscle shirt and a pair of baggy black cargo pants with black steel-toed boots, a long black coat, a pair of sunglasses and black knuckle gloves.
Bio: Dorian was the son of a infamous villain known as "The Fist". When he was younger he was completely unaware of the double life his father was leading because his mother always managed to keep everthing hidden from him. At the age of fourteen though after living a life of luxury created by his father's wicked ill-gotton riches his entire life came crashing down around him one fateful night when his father's location was discovered by a group of super-powered vigilantes who had been hunting him down relentlessly. After a fierce battle resulting in the destruction of his home his father was finally taken down permanantly by the group. Dorian had early on in the fight been buried beneath a pile of rubble from a immense blow delivered by his father to one of the stronger members of the vigilantes. Though buried he was still able to witness the battle through a small hole big enough for him to see through. Soon after his father was defeated his mother found him and dug him out of the rubble(she'd been hiding in the basement). After the battle Dorian and his mother were left with nothing to their name. They were stuck in the slums scrounging around for food. Dorian despised the group of vigilates greatly for killing his father, but he hated his father far more for being such an evil person and doing such horrible things in his life. Dorian began to notice strange things happening to him after the battle. His body was becoming incredibly muscular, yet he didn't believe he exercised enough to be gaining so much muscle. He began testing his strength on various objects finding it a simple task to lift objects that to others would be near impossible to lift. Dorian soon figured out where this strength was coming from.....his father. He had gained the strength his father had and then some. Besides having immense strength that quite possibly surpassed even his father's Dorian also had the ability to traval by way of shadows. This at first was shocking to Dorian, but later on his mother revealed to him that she in fact had the same ability, but had never told him because she was too ashamed of the way she had abused her power in the past along with his father. When Dorian was seventeen he and his mother made their way to the city of Gaiopolis. When they came there they had close to nothing. Dorian got a job at a corporate business based on at first what he thought was pure luck. He quickly rose up though in the business and after only a single year became Vice president of the company. He was told that he was a bussiness prodigy. With this in mind Dorian decided to take a bit of a risk. He formed his own company that researched and developed advanced technology. He named it G-Tech. The company quickly became one of the most successful company's of it's kind after much hard work and dedication mainly on Dorian's part. Dorian had made a successful multi-billion dollar company in the span of only three years. During the time he was building up his company he was also mastering his abilities and training himself to become a superhero. Along with his training Dorian also was building an underground base deep beneath his own company's building. Upon completion he decided to use it as a HQ for the superhero organization he was going to create called....The GLH!(open for additions) Lia wolfsbane Gaia Name: Lia Wolfsbane

Allignment:Neutral (leans more towards good as long as they're not destroying nature)
Primary Power: can summon/control animals and transform into either a wolf, hawk, or great whte shark
Secondary: can summon small controlled storms (she's still working on this)
Bio:As a young girl she lived in the forest. One day she was walking around when she came up upon a mysterious rock. It began to glow and exploded as she approached it. When she awoke the next day(surprisingly enough unharmed) and did a bird call, "it" came. She worked on this power for the next few years. When she was eleven they cut down most of the forest she was inhabiting. Ever since she has been protecting what's left of the forests of the world. Now she's in college, trying to become a nature specialist. She's nice, but once you get on her bad side it's hard to get back on her good side. Because she never knew her parents and never felt like she belonged, she's slightly distant from people but when she's around others she smiles. She's also tends to be slightly impatient.

Elelia, was walking along in her college wondering how she was going to explain not finishing her homework (she had been fighting against evil) suddenly bumped into someone she hurredly gathered her stuff and said sorry and walked of towards her building. She turned around and looked at the man he was muscular and had a red t-shirt on and black jeans for some reason she thought she recgonied him but shed think about that later

Dorian was walking along pondering how he was going to one-up one of his main competitors because earlier that day they had revealed a new cutting edge product, when he was bumped into by a young woman. She was so quick in taking off after having hit him that he hadn't even been able to to help her with her things, let alone say it was ok. Dorian then made his way off in the opposite direction. He was walking for maybe about a minute when he heard a police report in his ear piece, describing what sounded like an armed robbery occuring at one of the local banks in the city. Dorian cautiously scanned the area to see if anyone was around, then slowly lowered himself into his own shadow and reemerged moments later from the shadow of a nearby tree in his super hero uniform. "I should see if I can provide the police assistance at that bank.....hopefully it won't take up too much of my time though, I still need to meet up with the R&D Department head..............." Dorian said to himself in a rather monotone voice. Dorian then went into a sprint and after a few seconds launched himself hundreds of feet into the air towards the city.

Elelia turned around one more time and he was gone! Wondering where he went a thought suddenly popped into her head and she ran inside gave her teacherher excuse (got detention) ran out and hid behind a tree a few minutes latter a hawk flew out scanning the skies she saw a person flying so she followed at a distance.

Kari was at the bank waiting in the to cash her pay check. She sighed as she looked at her watch. She thought, "This is taking too long, don't they know people have things to do. I'm going to be late again and I'm going to be in a lot of trouble. I also have to pay rent before noon or I'll lose my apartment." Just when it was her turn, 3 armed men dressed in black barged in, wanting to rob the place. They ordered everyone to get on ground as they did, Kari stood tall and just watched. One of the men pushed her to the ground as her ordered the teller to put the money in the bag. Kari glared out him, stood up quickly, grabbed his arms and pulled them back. She placed enough pressure on his wrist so he'd drop the gun. She banged his head against the desk knocking him out. She shouted glaring at the other 2, "Give up or u'll meet the same fate!" Right after she said that, one of them shot her right leg. She yelled in pain and fell to her knees.

The Dark Giant landed gracefully on the ground despite the fact that he had just leapt several miles in a single bound. The police surrounding the area indicated that the situation within the bank had become serious. The police looked at him with a relieved look on their faces. One of the nearby officers that appeared to be a rookie asked him to step back, but one of the other more experienced policemen told him to shut up and allow Dark Giant to proceed. "This shouldn't take too long." Dark Giant said with little modesty in his voice. He then casually proceeded into the bank. There were three men in the bank that were armed, though one appeared to have been knocked unconscious. Dark Giant quickly noticed a woman that appeared to be suffering from a bullet wound in her leg. 'It would appear that i'll have to make this even quicker than expected because of her' Dark Giant thought to himself. Before even allowing the robbers to react to his entrance Dark Giant sank into a shadow, re-emerging behind one of the robbers. Dark Giant broke the robber's arm in multiple places, then lightly tossed him at his partner which resulted in both of them being sent through a nearby desk and knocking them both out. Dark Giant then grabbed the weapons of each robber and crushed them in his hands. Once he was rid of the weapons he instructed all the civilians to file out of the bank and signaled to the cops that the threat had been neutralized. He sprinted over to the woman that had been shot and ripped some of the material from his coat off in order wrap it around the wound. "Do you need me to carry you miss?" he said in a rather proper tone. " You don't appear to be in any condition to be walking."

Kari thought wincing, "I can't believe I didn't see that coming. That was the most obvious thing ever. I can't use my fire power or everyone'll know who I am." She then noticed The Dark Giant enter the bank and watched him take out the robbers. She stared at him when he rushed over to her and wrapped the gun wound. She replied, "U don't have too, I'm fine. I'm just glad that guys aim wasn't as good as I orginially thought." She gave him a smile. Kari then slowly stood up using her hands and left leg. She thought balancing on her left leg, "He's right though, there's no way I can walk." She tried anyway but as soon as her right leg barely touched the ground, it gave in and she collapsed. She said moaning in both pain and disbelief, "This so isn't my day. Why does everything have to go wrong today?"

"I'll give you an A for effort." Dark Giant said to the the woman. "You really do need to get that bullet wound treated though." he said with concern in his voice. He then proceeded to picking her up and carried her off to a nearby ambulance. "Here you are miss." he said as he set her down near the ambulance where she was immediatly attended to by the paramedics.
