If you are a fan of ABC daytime like me, there have been many times when you have tuned in and heard these dreaded words: The role of ...... will now be portrayed by .... Well, how many times have you been happy about it? I have mentioned some of my all-time worst recasts in previous posts, but here they are again.

this is old but victoria windingham as rachel AW she just didnt cut it Robin strasser was more beliveable all VW did was turn rachel into a homebody ...... Eden reigel she is a good actress but I just cant see her as Binxs..... Edward Q was one huge mistake Ingel he was good but the new guy is way to young...... Roman on dool I can never understand a word he says crying . I love kassie wessly depaiva but the blair before her Mia koff was asian with brown hair and brown eyes and in a year she was cucasian with blond/brown hair and green/blue eyes I have no prob. with that but please explaine the transformation in a SL .... I dont like new Anitia and bobby AMC...... new emily GH does nothing but whine all of the time... New lucky GH and new Jr AMC do nothing but whine too but for the most part soaps can usally find good recast but not all of the time crying

I totally agree that the new Edward is too young. Did you know that he is only six months older than Stuart Damon who plays Allan? How cooky is that? I wonder how he can call him father and keep a straight face?
It's kind of like on Don't be a Menace to South Central While You're Drinking Your Juice in the Hood. Tray had to give his Dad a bottle and put him to bed. That movie ripped on Boyz in the Hood because Lawrence Fishbourne played Cuba Gooding, Jr.'s dad and they were so close in age. stare

I also dislike the new Edward. It's creepy to have him so young. Does anyone know wether the former actor was let go or did he choose to leave? eek
I still haven't warmed up entierly to the new Todd on OLTL. I don't hate him, but he just isn't Todd for me crying
Remember when they recast Gia on GH? I never warmed up to her replacement, either domokun Fortunatly, she got very little storyline after the recast and was eventually let go.
I didn't care much for Timothy Gibbs the whole time he played Kevin on OLTL(he was the actor who had the romance with Sam's sister while Kevin was still married to crazy Cassie). He wasn't a bad actor or anything, but the actor he replaced was my favorite Kevin-cast(for the life of me I can't remember his name) and they simply played the character very differently. The guy I liked played Kevin as very cocky and daring, while Gibbs Kevin was much more dour. I'm fairly happy with whoever is playing Kevin now heart
I can think of 6 diffrent Kevins off the top of my head, so the roll has seen some turn over xp

John Ingle was let go by General Hospital when Anna Lee was, then they asked him to come back on recurring. Instead of wasting his time with that, he hightailed it over to Days of Our Lives. In a weird twist, he now plays Micky Horton, a character who he is too old to be portraying.

momma1 John Ingle was let go by General Hospital when Anna Lee was, then they asked him to come back on recurring. Instead of wasting his time with that, he hightailed it over to Days of Our Lives. In a weird twist, he now plays Micky Horton, a character who he is too old to be portraying. I can't believe they let him go sad I guess it's somewhat good though....I can't imagine him with Heather 0_o

I haven't seen much of John Ingle on the few eps I have caught >.< He *looks*(I'm sure it's all wardrobe and make-up) a bit younger on Days....

I know I am showing my age, but does anyone remember Duke Lavery on General Hospital? He was a fan favorite and was married to Anna Devane who was also on All My Children a while back. His character and portrayer both had an accent, Irish or Scottish I think. He was killed off of the show and brought back as some American guy with no explanation. I'm not kidding. Then, they killed him again even after fans accepted him as Duke. Another weird recast was the Blairs on One Life to Live. I love Kassie DePaiva, but she replaced Mia Korf who was Korean or Vietnamese. What?? Why?? Crazy man, CCRRAAZZZYYY!!!

the worst recast wast when they replaced Belle(kristen storms) on dasys of our lives wtih tha 1st girl who only lasted a week, i don't like tha current 1 either i wish they'd bring back tha original belle

Belle on DOOL was the worst....her hair wasn't even as long as the other Belle...and then a few episodes later she got hair extensions (it was just really korny xp )

PoLaRsNuGgLeS I agree that I like the new Kevin and Paul, but I disagree about the Todd. Sure, the old Todd was an excellent actor, but this new Todd is good as well. I also like the new David on OLtL Isn't it the same David? There really aren't any recasts I hate... or hated... or anything. The new Todd is teh wonderful. heart The only thing I can think of that has irked me was the day they recast Paul as some weird fella' that was tall and skinny and was talking to Nat about gambling and talking to Rex about the painting heist.
