Indroduce yourself! Go a head! This can help for us to get to know each other better. Of course it's not MANDATORY, I can't force you, I just thought it wouldn't harm anything. Also, you never know. Could strike up some interesting conversation.

ALSO if you are a mod, it would be a good idea to add that into your introduction post. Just so everyone can get familiar with the crew.

Name: Pumpkin (captian of the guild)

Location: Minnesota

Age: 18

Your favorite Japanese band/artist: Metronome, Guniw Tools/Nookicky/Shilfee and Tulipcorobockles, Buck-Tick, Kozi and Miyavi. In no particular order.

Your favorite Miyavi song/PV and why: Right now I'd have to say my favorite song is Dear My Friend. I thought the lyrics to the song were incredibly touching, and very sweet. The song itself is just happy and bouncy--kind of the music I'm usually prone to listen too, I just adore the beat in Dear My Friend. My favorite PV right now would have to be Senor Senora Senorita. I love the idea of it, and the thought was so creative and well done. I never guessed an almost salsa sounding sound would turn out into some sort of vampire surprise. It's amazing, such a lively fun song itself. The PV just makes everything twice as good, especially with the add in of the wonderful color theme of black, white and red. Wonderful.

Name: Yilei (Crew)

Location: California. Where in this large state doesn't particularly matter since my hometown's in NorCal but I do my schooling in SoCal. I go to the University of California, Irvine though (which doesn't say much because we have a population of like 20,000).

Age: 22

Your favorite Japanese band/artist: Mainly Miyavi, but I like many others. Psycho le Cemu, cali≠gari, Kozi, Suneohair, Yonekura Chihiro, Utada Hikaru, Kawabe Chieco, Aural Vampire, THE BACK HORN, Himitsu Kessha Codomo A, Hysteric, ASIAN KUNG-FU GENERATION, UVERworld, Janne da Arc, B'z, Moritaka Chisato, SunSet Swish, Younha, SNoW, CHEMISTRY, 73 Shiki, Remioromen, and many others. It's probably a lot easier to just check out my audioscribbler: http://www.last.fm/user/yilei

Your favorite Miyavi song/PV and why:
It's really difficult to choose just one song. "Ashita, Tenki ni Naare" will always hold a special place in my heart though because I wasn't really a huge fan of Miyavi until I had listened to it in 2004 just as he was getting his major career started. For years before that though, I had been going through some tough personal problems that put me in a *really* dark place and I faced a lot of difficulties with just living. The summer of 2001 in particular holds a lot of really painful memories for me where I felt like I was barely alive, but those memories seemed to reappear for me in "Ashita, Tenki ni Naare" in a more positive light. In particular, much of that summer I had spent lying in bed trying to sleep away the day because to dream was a lot easier and more appealing to me than actually facing life and what was happening to me. So as a result, the first couple of lines in "Ashita, Tenki ni Naare" really touched me those years later when I heard it. I felt as if, the thoughts and prayers I had during those days were answered by Miyavi in the song and slowly that triggered the ability for me to let go of that part of my past. Miyavi's music though really has the unique capability of reaching out to people, so to me, that makes him a special kind of artist.

Other songs I like include the other "Ashita, ______ ni Naare" songs just because all of them are just pretty positive songs and make me think of fun times with friends. "Ashita, Genki ni Naare"'s PV in particular really brings out the fun with Miyavi hopping around in a field as useless as it seems. It just has that carefree feeling though that people at my age tend to enjoy with their college friends. There's really nothing like going to hang out with your friends somewhere.

I also particularly like "♂Papa Mama♀ ~Nozomarenu Baby~" because of its ability to portray raw emotion. It's been called by several people including Miyavi critics to be the strongest track on the entire album, but as far as just...expressing some of the emotions in there, most people in the world experience a time like that. As can be seen from the above, I haven't had the happiest life in the world, so it's songs like this that really get to what's in there and give words to the things that I wouldn't otherwise know how to express.

"Kimi ni Negai o" I'm partial to just because of it's "Wish Upon a Star" quality. Being quite childish still myself, the song touches upon a part of myself that still yearns for those innocent times. The lyrics themselves are very sweet in the way they are different from that original idea too, but that coupled with the PV just brings up some nice nostalgic emotions.

"Itoshii Hito" in all versions has to be one of my favorite songs because of its reassuring quality. The 2006 version has a new spin to it and seems to be featuring a parent talking to its child or at least a mother to its child, but the original version seems to be someone reassuring their partly paranoid/scared lover. The latter strikes a chord with me, because of this said hard life, I have a tendency to be quite cautious and fearful for my own protection, but it to an excess. The PV is also extremely beautiful and deep and I absolutely love the astrewnment of flowers and the beauty and heart the cinematography of the entire piece. It makes for great art and I've been wanting to make some of my own lately too, but haven't gotten around to making the caps.

"Kekkonshiki no Uta" has probably my favorite song and PV combination. The lyrics are *very* sweet and I procclaim shall be a part of any future wedding that I should have. It's probably one of the most fun ways to send of someone you love into their married life. The PV is cute with the battle over the bride. The back story seems to be for an actual friend of Miyavi's and I remember him saying that he thought he may have revealed too much with the song. XD Still though, it's cute the way it is. He also looks rather princely in that white suit. I think it's also that I may just be a hopeless romantic and a sucker for weddings. The flower choice though for this fake ceremony was excellent.

For other songs and PVs, it's not so much I don't like them, so much as they haven't had the "kick" I've wanted to warrant listing it.

Age: 16

Your favorite Japanese band/artist:
Miyavi was my first and is at the top of my list which also includes: Alice Nine, An Cafe, Gazette, Gackt, Hyde, L'Arc~en~Ciel, WaT, and many others.
I'm always up for listening to someone new. :3

Your favorite Miyavi song/PV and why:
My favorite songs right now are Kimi ni Negai o and Dear My Friend, because they're so different from his other songs. (Also, it could be because these are the latest songs of his that I've heard. :P)
My favorite PVs include Coo Quack Cluck (Movie mix version), Joushou Kaidou, and Kekkonshiki no Uta. They seem to add more dimension to the songs. <3

And Miyavi, if that wasn't obvious. xD;

Your favorite Miyavi song/PV and why: I have a lot, but I really like Itoshii Hitto (original). I think it's a really wonderful song, and I've listened to it many times. Even though I do really like the newest version, I have to say the original still captured me first, and it's stuck with me. My favorite pv is probably a tie between Ashita genki naare and Kekkonshiki no Uta. I jut really enjoy both of them. They're just really fun to both watch, and I really love both songs. ;3

Your favorite Miyavi song/PV and why: I really do enjoy all his work, though I have to say Kekkonshiki no Uta is my favorite song. It was the first I heard by him and I can't seem to choose a new favorite. For my favorite PV I love Ashita genki naare. It's not really dramamatic of visual effects or lots of props, but kinda simple. I got really drawn into that from the PV.

Your favorite Miyavi song/PV and why: I really like Itoshii Hito because it's very beautiful and is the reason why Miyavi is now my favorite artist. I'm found of his voice and the emotion shown with in it as he sings. Then I like Kimi ni Negai for the music, the PV I don't like too much and the lyrics aren't too stand out to me. Oh and for my fave PV I have to say that goes to Ashita Genki ni Naare what's not to love, he looks like a lovable hobo I'd give him liquor money any day. And I like the PV Kekkonshiki no Uta too it's just plain cute.

XD I hope you don't mind and I went ahead and corrected your post because it mistook Ashita, Tenki ni Naare for Ashita, Genki ni Naare. Ashita, Tenki ni Naare was only a B-side on the Jingle Bell single while Ashita, Genki ni Naare was an A-side and the last Indies single Miyavi released.
