s**t, I'm so excited for this album. I probably won't get it until early next week unfortunately. I did hear the clips from O-re-sa-ma and I really liked what I heard from that...well, the one with the little children chanting was slightly unnerving, but I'm curious to see what song that belongs too.

I'm curious as well. I'm going to be heading over to go check my mail to see if it came in yet (along with buy food; but that's another story). I got the mail yesterday that said they mailed it, but it's possible they might've mailed it a day early or something too and there's the time differences between Japan and here, so it might be here already. o.oa
Well, that and the post office doesn't really update the tracking thing as fast as I'd like it to be. At the very least, it should be enroute to the dispatch center in SoCal. It only takes an hour to get down here and it got through customs at 8 in the morning today.

Finally got my copy of the album, and I'm loving the three new tracks.
Granted I've heard "We love you" before via the LFX lives, but the recorded version of this album is *much* more romantic than the original versions we heard from LFX. I absolutely *LOVE* the back up. If I had a boyfriend that whipped this song out during a romantic date or something, I'd be swooning like crazy just because it's that kind of a song. The changes are really quite amazing though because the previous version was pretty strongly acoustic with a dash of a hip-hop feel to it. So originally it was like more of a feel like concerts artists put on sometimes for "world peace" or some great cause like fighting AIDS or something, but the version on this album is much more intimate.
"Peace Sign" now takes back some of that "world issues" feel. It kind of makes me think of a Vietnam War era peace song crossed with a commercial or something from Nickelodeon with the kids chorus and some of the sounds that are mixed in with it. One of the sounds at the beginning, I can't really describe, but it reminds me of like cartoony footsteps or cartoony rolling blocks. If you know GLAY, it sounds like the intro portion of "Itsuka".
"Oretachi Dake no Fighting Song" is very motivating just like the title implies, but also the random sound bytes in make it pretty interesting. I swear toward the end I thought I heard him burp. I had to listen to it again to check and sure enough, HE DID. XD Still though, there's a lot of random things in it like he clearly sounds like he's going "pfft" into the microphone after the line "Try & try". It's pretty powerful though and it kind of just makes you feel like you can take on the world.
The images in side though are pretty interesting. Some of the same stuff we've seen for the singles, although I don't recall actually seeing an entire a** shot of the manequin for Senor Senora Senorita before. You do kind of see in the inside of the Senor Senora Senorita box, but it's for the most part blocked by the window in the box and by a stylized design film strip. The costumes he does for the overall album though are cute. They are pretty joyful and random and bright, but they kind of remind me of some of the shoots he's done in the past and the hat kind of reminds me of hide. The last three songs though that I mentioned above, his outfit seems simple.
For "We love you" it seems like a reprise of the kind of outfit he wore for "Dear My Friend", but with different clothes while the "Peace Sign" outfit features a tanktop from the 70s (thus adding to the feel of Vietnam era anti-war song; I listend to the song before I looked in the booklet btw). "Oretachi dake no Fighting Song" has quite an interesting shoot. Miyavi's decked out like a boxer with a blue jacket with shredded edges on him like a boxing hoody, boxing gloves, and he's in his boxers and throwing punches. XD If anything, it should give you a good laugh just to look at the pics.
Overall, it's a decent album, but just like the site says, the album is very "best album" like. The reason being is that it only features 3 new recordings and one of those songs fans have already heard on LFX albeit a different version. It's still a good collection nonetheless and the way the music industry is in Japan, they have to consistently put all A-sides of previous singles since the last album on the next album and this was probably the best way to do it. I think I'm waiting much more in anticipation for "Miyavi Uta" though just by virtue of the fact that it's got some more different tracks on it.
It should also be noted that this entire album is different from all of Miyavi's previous recordings in that he actually has *SUPPORT* musicians. In previous recordings, Miyavi would record all the instrument parts himself and mix them together it seems and in the credit page it would state that parts of the song were recorded in his bedroom. This time it's not so and there's crediting for *ALL KINDS* of support from different mixers and musicians. It seems that he's gathering a lot of friends in the music industry lately. =3

It is extremely colorful. XD I love his metal guitar he's sporting too. It looks so random and banjo-y.
The next album should be interesting because it looks like a love song album. It looks guaranteed to be pretty sweet. 3nodding

I actually prefer this version to the studio versions and such that he made earlier as well. This one's just a million times sweeter to the point that I couldn't resist melting everytime I heard it and playing it 50 billion times.
I also have proclaimed that for me, this would be an extremely good date song because it has a particular romantic quality to it that's just incredibly sweet and powerful.

*giggles* this is such a fluffy CD. Well I guess that's my way of describing this piece of Miyavi's style. he just varies so much and it's wonderful to see that and compare different parts of his music with different times of it.. if that sentence makes any sense at all. *sigh*
I found this Album to be very enjoyable though I did get a few complaints from my father and grandfather about it being annoying then I told them buy me an I-pod and you wont have to hear it. I really do enjoy his music and listening to him he is an excellent entertainer. p.s. I got my copy on i-tunes.

MYV*POPS CD BOOKLET SCANSI posted them in the order they appear from the front cover, going from left to right throughout the booklet. I separated the pages by lyrics and graphic (with the exception of "We love you") so you have the option of having both the lyrics and the graphic, or just one. These took a long time to scan and upload, so I hope it wasn't in vain. @_@; Enjoy! There is no need to credit me for these scans. However, if you want to, you can always link to my deviantART account here. MYV*POPS front cover Circle graphic, CD tracklist. "Are you ready to ROCK?" lyrics, graphic. ~ "Kekkonshiki no Uta" lyrics, graphic. ~ "Senor Senora Senorita" graphic, lyrics. ~ "Gigpig Boogie" graphic, lyrics. ~ "Dear my friend -tegami o kaku yo-" lyrics, graphic. MYV*POPS graphic. (about halfway through booklet, both pages) "Itoshii Hito (beta de suman.) -2006 ver.-" graphic, lyrics. ~ "Kimi ni Negai o" lyrics, graphic. ~ "We love you ~sekai wa kimi o aishiteru~" lyrics, graphic. (I kept the second scan together, because I don't think anyone wants a picture of just Miyavi's torso. XD) "Peace Sign" graphic, lyrics. ~ "Oretachi dake no Fighting Song" lyrics, graphic. ~ MYV*POPS credits. MYV*POPS back cover.

Me saying that I loved the album would make me a completely biased person, but that's okay. I did. XD I kind of missed the days though when his albums would be a mesh of new stuff and then as bonuses, there'd be the old single songs. But then again, he is doing what's normally done by putting in the single songs like that. And it's really easy to listen to because you're used to it. So you could be dancing to Senor Senora Senorita one second and then just mellow out for Itoshii Hito. I think the variety in the album is what gives it it's flavour, while still having the consistant instruments.
And look wise, Miyavi is my favorite person in hot pink. No doubt. xd

I got the 1st press edition this one's happy, anyone seen the dvd yet?
I loved this CD though, it's kinda funny how the singles all got cluttered in the begining and the "new" tracks were added to the back. I feel in love with Seaki wa kimi aiishiteru, when I first heard it in one of his interview thingies, and of course Itoshii hito, I'm not a big fan of the dvd, but it makes me feel like crying, oh Miyavi....I bet he's happy with it though, it's a pretty good CD.

Erm, that's not a first press edition. XD That's a limited edition CD. Both versions of the CD also have seperate "first press" editions which just means that they come with the sticker and a postcard.
I actually haven't gotten around to watcing the DVD yet although it's right on my table. Stuff kind of comes up and I heard it was long. confused
Sekai wa Kimi o Aishiteru is the subtitle btw. 3nodding
