xd Well, I am a beagle owner. If anyone has ever owned hounds you might know how bad their skin problems can get. My beagle, Ishboo, has the worst yeasty skin I have ever seen in a beagle. Yeasty ears too. I had him on vet meds for months and special shampoo. I admit, it has helped a bit but he still stinks and the yeast isn't going away anytime soon. I have been giving him supplements in his diet. Does anyone know of something I can give him that can help fight the yeast or any tips? Are there any herbs that kill fungus in general? And preferably not kill my dog... sweatdrop

*cracks up as she reads the title, and has to regain control over herself*
*giggle* OK... I'm sorry. That's gotta be the most hilarious subject all week.
As for the yeast, low sugar is always good. Maybe live cultures in yogurt might help? mmm... *digs out book*
Cold-pressed olive oil?
Garlic? Although I think it's bad for dogs, so I wouldn't.
unsweetened, live yoghurt.
Rosemary, goldenseal, marigold, hyssop, thyme and fennel, as an infusion or decoction for a rinse are all anti fungal.
Chamomile too. ^_^
Witch hazel, sage, and bistort as a wash.

Thank you much, I will try some of that. From what I have read garlic is a little hard on their tummys. I have been doing some research on Ishboos problem and it may be caused by a food allergy to wheat. I got some wheat free food and much of the herbs you mentioned I have fresh and dried biggrin So hopefully with that change and making him some special baths I can help him get rid of this. Also, the yogurt idea is a good one. I read that something probiotic can help his body get rid of the fungus. I am glad I made you laugh with my topic! lol

Don't be afraid of giving dogs garlic, it's great for them. You can even get garlic biscuits for them.
The main use of garlic with dogs is to control fleas, they don't like the way the garlic makes the dog's blood taste eek
We used to give our dogs a garlic capsule every day, and they rarely had a single flea 3nodding
