Well, there has been an update with the issue, and unfortunately the game will be down for serveral days due to it. We still have yet to find who is the cause of the problem, yet I will be making a phone call to the dial up company which the user was accessing from (I traced it to there).
Although no large details can be said about what the actual bug was, I will let you all know that regretably, some very valuable data was lost in this. So far, the actual server code seems to be 100% fine, yet some key data files were deleted, and cannot be recovered, and the old back ups are to old to be of any use.
Due to the loss of this data, we at CC corp have decided to use this massive downtime to do what we shall call: Welcome to The World
With this update (Welcome to The World aka v5.0) we will be doing the fallowing:
Will be added for sure for the update
1) Redoing the entire stats system, so that it fits in with that of the CyberConnect 2 stats system. This was on request to be done, before any further things in what I will now call 'the deal to change The World'.
2) Along with the stats change, we will be introducing an out of game mail system which will be linked with your The World account. This will give more use to the Flash Mail system which is currently in The World. Due to that, we will also be upgrading the Flash Mail system. [Complete]
3) Fix the bank system. The current one is not very 'user friendly' and thus we shall be making it more friendly.
4) Subclass Revamp. As of right now, from what I have seen, the subclasses are very useless and not many are used. So we are going to 'beef them up'.
5) Fixing a few GUI and GFX issues, such as the Altimit OS, MiniMap Icons, etc.
6) Fixing the /help command.
Will hopefully be added for the update
1) More sprites, such as armor, head, and PCs. Also, we will try to add in some of the 'better' sprites from the old system for you all to use.
2) Revamp of the Party system. Make it more useful and such.
3) Bring back the grunty raising system. This may or may not be added, if we cannot figure out how to have it work in time.
4) Bane and Blood spells (Beast Bane, Hunters Bane, Warrior Blood, ect.).
5) Status Effect (Sleep, Poison, Speed Down, Attack Up, Speed Up, ect.) revamp.
6) Skill Effects (Life Drain, Skill Drain, Death).
7) Health Charms.
cool An 'encounter' system. With this, PCs will randomly come into contact with various key PCs from .Hack//. The people who will be encountered could range from Kite and Tsukasa, to the Phases (already there), Aura, Lios, Helba, and even Morganna Mode Gone herself. Also, the effects of these would range. For example, an encounter with someone like Kite may give you simply nothing, to possibly a very rare item (no, not the Twilight Bracelet). Yet an encounter with Morganna may do nothing... yet at the same time, she may 'Data Drain' you and thus delete your character data.
9) An Arena System. Basically, an arena for PCs to battle on teams against others.
As each of these are finished, a [Complete] will be put at the end of it.
