I was wondering if anyone else has heard of Takashi Okazaki's anime Afro Samurai. It's comeing to Spike tv at the end of the fall and it looks really promiseing. The voice cast is very impressive as well as it's music artist is simply put superb. If you've ever heard of him he is RZA from Wu-Tang-Clan. He has done the music for several movies one notable one being Blade Trinity. His music is usually blends of Rock and Roll Rap and Soul and a number of other music genres. I find his music spectacular. The most notable person in the voice cast is Actor Samuel L. Jackson well known in the movie buisness. You might have seen him in movies such as. The Star Wars Trilogy as Jedi Master Mace Windou, Die Hard with a vengeance S.W.A.T and Pulp fiction. Some of his voice acting skills are viewable in the animated series the Boondocks wich is anime influenced and very closely resembles the styles of scertain anime series. In the Boondocks he brings his intense attitude to Gangster Gin Rummy war verteran and hot head. This makes me curious as to what his intense voice acting will bring to a Samurai. The art is marvelous in my opinion and it appeares to be in more of a feature film style more so than one you would find in your average animated series. It is very smooth and the fighting scenes are dramatic. The protoganist ranks highly on the cool factor and I say that after only viewing the trailer and never actually haveing seen the series since it has't come one yet. All and all I find it to bee seemingly highly impressive. When I watch it I'm persionally reminded of Samurai Champloo and The Boondocks.

That looks way interesting. But I have no idea what channel Spike TV is for me, so I'm not sure how I'm going to be able to watch it.

@ CHF I dont think that would be appropriate until the show actually came out lol.
@ Yoko If memory serves it's coming out either November 9th or 21st

For me, Spike's on 41. I never think to watch it, though, since they took off all the Thursday night toons. crying
