hi there!

ivce been playing violin for quite some time now and Im switching to viola. I can tape that in the same manner many beginners tape their violin Cant I?

I think she means like... Using tape to mark where your fingers are supposed to go.... But I could be wrong.

you can tape the finger board of a viola to show where your fingers go, if that's what you mean (keep in mind the tapes don't go in exactly the same place as they do on a violin). if you've been playing violin for a long time though, you might not have to. try just doing it by ear, because it's the same fingering just stretched out more.
