Legends? Why doesn't every body share their favourite Legendary character, and then recount their favourite legends?
When joining I actually considered signing up as the Warrior Queen Medb or Robin Hood, but chose to stick with Niniane because she is such a large part of Arthurian legends, even if you don't see her very much in the roles that are up-played- Lancelot, Arthur, Gwyn.
While your at it, explain your character and the item that you own? I think it would be interesting to see this, especially all together for connections to be made easier.

My favourite legend eh~? That would have to be one of the many stories about the kitsune and a greedy/foolish emporer. Always turns out the same basicly, greedy man meets old man, old man offers greedy man deal to get rich, greedy man tries to trick old man and steal all the money, old man makes greedy man pay then reveals he's a kitsune.
The reason I chose kitsune is because 1. They're part fox (My favourite animal) and 2. they're vampiric and evil. xD The clay mask is an item I made up, but when worn it enables my kitsune to turn into anything. (Like the kitsunes from most stories could do)

I've always enjoyed Robin Hood legends, well the ones were Will Scarlet is a tough warrior and not a nancy boy because he's my favourite character. The Arthurian stories of Morgan le fay, Mordred and the Questing Beast are all quite good too. I also love Greek legends though they probably tie in more with myths and Japanese legends but I can barely recall any at the moment.

<3 I'm nearly obsessed with Robin Hood and King Arthur. I've never actually read any where Will was a nancy boy, usually he is the son a merchant though correct?
The two wills osmetimes confuse me, because depending on the movie, the book, or the ballad one of the Wills is always related to Robin and it might be Will Scarlett but I think its usually Will Stutely...
I assigned Robin Hood roles to members of my youth and I am actually trying to start up a (albeit invisionfree) Robin Hood role playing forum. (link in sig)

Yep son of a merchant and the best swordsman of the group, lol you don't want to read the stories where he's a nancy boy, they're not great. Yes I believe Will Stutely is his nephew.

My favourite legends are the ones about local ghosts and weird things and whatnot, in addition to your requisite Arthurian legend and tales about things like willow-the-wisps and butter spirits et al.
Speaking of which, my campus has lots of legends surrounding it (from what I've heard). Like the legends of the Cat Graves and the Forest People.
I cannot confirm the existence of either, and everything I've heard about the Cat Graves and the Forest People has been based on heresay. But I will admit that once, when I got lost in the forest at night (I was trying to take a short cut to a dining hall), I saw some pots and pans and various signs of somebody recently living out there. Was this a Forest People settlement, or was it just somebody on a short camping trip? Who knows?
And I don't even know where the Cat Graves are supposed to be. Maybe I'll try and explore and find them, to confirm their existence.

King Arthur's legends (not him, himself but the stories surrounding him) the song of Roland is awesome as well. Fabulous tale.
I love 'The Knight of the Cart' the best I think. The first Arthurian tale where Lancelot is brought in and you see right away his love for Gwenievere. Wonderfully written beautiful descriptions. I love medieval tales they are amazing to read.
And of course I'm 'Pandora' and my item is 'Pandora's Box'
This was chosen because of all the myths out there the myth surrounding Pandora is probably my favourite, the idea behind Pandora is amazing plus I just love the name. And I think that the item pretty much speaks for itself.

For me it would have to be the myths about Tsukiyomi,Amaterasu and Susano O in Japanese myths.
