Anzu has just got back from a long day at school. She floped her backpack on the sofa, and headed into the kitchen where she usually got a afternoon snack. "Hm, maybe i'll have a sandwhich today..." She mumbled quietly and bent down to open the fridge. She wasnt surprised to find half a melon, and last nights dinner staring up at her. She sighed, and closed the fridge, heading towars her fathers office. She hesitated at the door, listing to see if he was on on the phone, then entered, her dad busily typing something at the computer.
"Um, excuse me daddy, but where out of food...again." She said in a quiet voice.
The man turned around to face his daughter, his eyes slightly bloodshot, and his hair ruffled and out of place.
"Oh suger, im sorry, it totally sliped my mind! Um...here."
He shuffled around in his pocket for a moment before taking out some money.
"Would you mind walking up and getting them yourself? Id drive you but.." He glanced back at his computer. "Hey, maybe when you get back we can--" But he was interuped by the ringing of a loud office telephone. He looked at the phone, then back at his daughter, frowning, and picked up the phone. "Hello? Yes sir, im finishing it up right now-"
Anzu didnt stay to hear the rest of the conversation. She picked up the money and headed out the front door, still in her school uniform.
It was a nice, sunny day. The sun was out, and there was hardly a cloud in the sky. Anzu sighed happily, heading towards the grocery store around the corner. She was about to turn the corner, when suddenly, everything went dark, and she was on the warm cement of the sidewalk. She found herself walking towards a strange white orb. Was she dead? As she got closer she relized the orb was really a beatiful bat. She couldnt help but reach out her hands, to grasp the tiny thing in her hands. As soon as her hands touched the animal, there was a large explosion, or so it seemed, and she was tingling all over. She woke up moments later, people standing around her, wondering what was wrong. She looked around, shocked, and found she was laying outfront of a large pink building, a cafe. She got up, her heart pumping, and started to run, forgetting the groceries. She didnt stop till she got home.
