Aoto Sukizawa Nashi's father. He's never home much when she is, some nights he doesn't even come home, just sleeps in his office. He's got a good heart, and he's really trying his hardest to do what's best for her, but sometimes, she just wishes he was around more.

Momo He seems nice, I met him in gym. Well, he wasn't in gym, he was supposed to be in math, but still, I'm kind of glad he was out there, it gave me someone to talk to while I was sitting out. Strange thing is, he asked me out to lunch. Me.

A Perdido Key Beach Mouse. I had to do a project on them once, kind of cute in a rodent sort of way.
Well, what can I say. It's me, nothing special.
A picture from my date with Momo, I wonder who took it...

"Dad? Dad?" Nashi shut the door quietly, calling out to see if anyone was home. Honestly, she knew there wasn't, there never was, but it was always worth a shot. She was lucky really, she knew, that they could afford to live in a nice sized apartment like this, that she could go to a private school, sure. Sometimes though, it would be nice for him to be home at times. With a careful balancing act, she set the groceries down on the counter and slipped off her backpack and hat, placing them on a hook with practiced rhythmn. Everyday the same as the rest. Wake up, go to school, come home, eat dinner alone, go to sleep, repeat. Right now, Kotomi and the other popular girls were probably out having fun, maybe snacking at that new Mew Cafe with their boyfriends. That's where anyone went anyway, all the popular kids at least. She was just a sheep. A pathetic little sheep that hadn't even gone by herself. Well, so what she didn't have any real friends. So what her dad was never home and her mother was dead. Things could be worse, they could always be worse. She sighed, starting to put the groceries away with a sluggish stride. True, she shouldn't be complaining, but sometimes it would be nice to just get everthing she wanted.

Dear Diary, Today I met a boy during gym, nothing special really, except he talked to me instead of Kotomi or one of the others. He said his name was Momo, he's a third year, but I don't think he goes to class very often. Anyway, I told the other girls about him when they asked what I had been doing in gym later on, and Kotomi told me I should stay away from him, that he was bad news or a pervert or something. I don't think I believe her, he seemed really sweet, and best of all, he asked me to have lunch with him. I think I'm going to go, even if it means skipping a class or two, I've never missed one before, they won't mind, right? Well, if they do I could always tell my dad I had to go across town to get some research material. Oh Diary.. Maybe he is bad news, what am I thinking, planning to lie to my father?

Dear Diary, My father promised he'd be home for dinner today, so I came straight home from school to prepare a special meal. Not that I had anywhere else to go, but still, I did. So, I made this whole wonderful meal, and an hour late, he calls and says he can't make it. I mean, I know it's something I should have expected, he never keeps those promises. But he said somehow he'd make it up to me. What really gets me though, is that he didn't apologize, just said he'd make up for it. Well, either way I suppose it's for the best, he works really hard because of me. It makes me feel a little guilty about agreeing to skip a class with Momo. Would it really be fair to my dad if I were expelled?

Dear Diary, Another day, another bad grade. I didn't do too well on my last paper, my father said I should pay more attention to studying and less attention looking at boys. I don't know, maybe he's right. But everyone already thinks I'm mousy, if I stop talking to guys then... I can't stand gym, Kotomi always forgets about me, just like everyone else, so when we pair up for stretches and things, I'm always left alone. I guess I really am the odd girl out. Well I don't know. I guess I'll figure something out.
