The Lists are to keep track of what couples exist in Eden, the formal, the not so formal and even the rather reluctant and in denial pairs. They serve as a place for people to declare their pets couple status. The lists also serve as a way to help staff keep track of who is looking to breed and has fulled the RP requirement to do so.
There are Five possible lists :
The Promised Pairs - This list is for those who have officially declared themselves in a ceremony to each other and made a commitment for life to each other, no matter what befalls them in the future. It is rare for those upon this list to ever separate and look for a new love.
The Devoted mates - This list is for those who have found their love and might not be into the whole pomp and circumstance of an offical deidication, but are devoted all the same. It is also for those who have found their love for right now, but are perhaps not as commited in the long run, or ready to commit for all the rest of their days.... While it is not a frequent occurance, it is not uncommon for those upon this list to split after a time, for whatever reason may be, and move on with their lives. Most couples are likely to find themselves on this list.
Reluctant Pairs - This list is for those who just might one day end up as a pair, and most often find themselves upon this list by their owners. Usually they will not ever be mates in the true sense of the word, but may have been setup to have what their owners might term a drunken one night stand. Those on this list are usually here because their owners have an intent to breed them but not for a long term IC loving marriage/mate relationship. Those who have bred through rare special events that wave the Rp requirement will automatically be listed here.
The Arranged - This list is the only list where eggs and hatchlings may fall. To register for this list, the dragon parent of the eggs must have arranged the matching of their offspring through RP. This is the list where RP will be watched the most and a few exchanges will not suffice for registration.
Those that once were - This list is generally for historical reference only and pairs from the other three lists will be moved to this list when it is requested they be removed from one of the other lists. Also pairs in which one of the owners has moved on from Gaia, or has not logged in for an extended period of time (months and months and months) will be retired and moved here. Pairs on this list are automatically considered non-breeding.
Note : These are simply guidelines for the lists, more specifically guidelines in an IC/RP sense. So do not feel that if your pet is on 'The Promised Pairs' list that the couple cannot be moved to the 'Those that once were' list should something occur OOCly to warrent such. Or that your pet can never look for another mate. We understand that real life happens and what was plans for a characters life cannot always continue or be because of the owners life.
List Rules : 1. There must be supporting RP in order to be registered as a potential breeding pair. 2. To Register for the Promised Pairs list, a RP of some kind must be made to this thread either in summary of the Promising event, or the exchange itself must occur in the thread. 3. A pair will automatically be marked non-breeding if both pets are owned by the same person, one of the pets is not fully paid for, or the pair is inter-species (dragon/East of Eden pet, dragon/some other shops pet, etc). 4.A teen must have been a teen for atleast a week before it can be registered, unless the parents are doing the 'registering'.
