i couldnt help but notice that there was not a sonata arctica thread, and i was saddened. i have all of their non-live albums except for winterheart's guild and these guys are wonderful. i have yet to find someone who hasnt liked them. i like all of their songs... amazing stuff. does anyone else listen to these guys?

Even though the vocals are a little non-power metal, the band rocks. My favorite songs are 'Fullmoon' and 'Wolf and Raven'

i just got winterheart's guild... it was good. not as good as the other 3 (ecliptica, silence, reckoning night) that i have, but it was still good

+J a c k+ I love their ecliptica album...sometimes they can seem a bit emo in disguise though. confused eh..... i guess... a little... no. they just plain rock. ive introduced all of my freinds to sonata, and so far, only one of them hasn't appreciated their melo-symphonic genius. so, she is now my ex because of it. jkjk. but seriously, we did break up... ive actually been getting all of my freinds into power metal. one guy had this remark: "dude, power metal is right. it sounds like raw power." 2 words: DUH!

personally, i think Winterheart's Guild is their best album. the only song i really like off any other album is "Wolf and Raven", but i love almost all of Winterheart's Guild.
personal fav's - "Champagne Bath" and "Victoria's Secret"
