Running through the middle of the forest near the Hamusuta shop is a river. Or at least, a creek that seems like a river to any wandering hams. There is a great log that acts as a bridge between the north and south sides, but there is also all sorts of adventures to be had in the river itself. At some points there are slow spots where hams can swim and play. And there are even some great rocks and other exciting things to do around the banks of the river. But be careful, there are also spots of a fast current that can carry away a hamham that isn't careful enough.

Mina decided to have some personal time with her little Ham egg at the river. After settling on a flat rock, legs crossed, Mina held up her little egg up in the air. I'm so curious about you, little one, Mina thought. Mina gazed at her egg, admiring how the late sun's rays were still shining on her egg.
"I can already tell you'll be very cute with your little red bow and red outfit," Mina said out loud to no one in particular.
Mina smiled, "I spent some time, thinking hard for a good name for you. I kept thinking about names for Christmas and cuteness, but I couldn't think of anything. Then when I wasn't thinking, the perfect name popped in my head. Do you want to know what it is?" Of course, Mina's egg didn't respond. Mina knew she wouldn't, but had a small hope that her egg would wiggle or something in response to her voice.
"Anyway, I will call you *Ruby* because ruby is a red gem and you're my little gem," Minako laughed to herself. "Eek, you might hear more of this dorky chatter, sorry, litttle one."
The wind started to blow and the air got much cooler. Mina shivered in response. "Let's go or we'll both freeze," Mina said as she zipped up her jacket and bundled her Ham egg in her blanket.

On this cold, cold afternoon, Mina decided to visit the river again to celebrate the welcoming of Cubby with her newly grown Ruby.
Ruby laid out a blue blanket, setting out a pillow for Cubby to lay on. Mina sat down, smiling at her sweet little girl.
"Ruby, you're so pretty in your little dress!" Mina beamed at her Ham.
Ruby looked up from admiring her new friend. "Aww, thank you Mommy," She blushed, rosy color flushing her cheeks.
Mina chuckled, squeezing Ruby for a quick hug. "I learn new things about you every day. You're gonna be a shy one like me."
"I guess," Ruby grimaced. Mina chuckled again. "Anyway, I made us some cookies, Mom." Ruby lifted the wrap of a plate full of red and green sugar cookies.
Another smile lit Mina's face. "Sweet! Thank you, Ruby." Mina grabs a cookie covered with red sugary sprinkles and took a big bite. "Mmmm...delicious!"
Ruby flushed again and grabbed a cookie for herself and one she laid on the pillow for Cubby.
....
After nearly clearing the plate of cookies and emptying a few glasses of juice, Mina and Ruby laid back to rest their tummies.
"I'm so excited to see Cubby hatch and grow. And now I have you to be excited with, too!" Mina said.
"Yup, I can't wait. I'll have someone to really live with and play with. Someone to take care of... I'll probably spoil him," Ruby smiled at her mother.
"Haha, if I don't spoil him first!" Mina replied with a wide grin.
"You won't be the one baking cookies now, are ya?" Ruby shot back.
"But I'll be the one buying toys for you two. So you better be good to me," Mina warned with another smile.
"Of course, I'm a good girl."
"Uh-huh...we'll see," Mina replied seemingly serious. Then she chuckled, "It's getting super chilly outside. I think there's suppose to be a wintry mix tonight."
"Yea, let's go home, Mommy."

It was a nice sunny day. LuvHina wanted to take her egg out so it can get some sun. She gently placed the egg in a basket with nice, soft blankets in it. She then got another blanket and wrapped it around the egg.
"There this should keep you nice and warm." She said to Pearl. She grabbed her basket full of food which she had packed earlier and left the house.
She arrvied at this beautiful river and decided to have a little picnic here. She placed her basket full of food down and gently placed Pearl down too. "Hmm seems like there's no one around. Guess it's just you and me Pearl." She said looking around.
She took a deep breath and released it all again. "Ahhh, what a nice day for a little picnic." She said to herself. She reached for the sandwich and slowly ate it, while enjoying the sun.
A couple of hours later.
"Hmm, I finished all the food already?" She looked in her empty basket. She gently grabbed Pearl and placed her on her lap. "I can't wait till you have hatched, Pearl. You are going to be so cute and pretty!" She said to Pearl.
"Guess we should be going home now. It's getting late." She picked up her egg and placed her in the basket again. She got up and slowly made her way home. "I wonder what I should make for dinner tonight" She thought to herself.

Cliff walked along the flowing river. He looked around too see no Ham Ham in sight. He felt a little more relaxed. Sometimes he got a little shy around other ham hams, and it was good to spend a little time alone. Wow, this place is so quiet and it is like I have it all to myself, I like it. This will be my new "spot" He thought to himself. He sat down and watched as the soothing river flowed. It relaxed him so much that he was getting a bit drowsy. Slowly his eye's started to get heavier, and he began to drift off to dreamland. ((10 sentences)) (( *thinks of weather she should RP the dream* xD))

As Atomic Underpants and Bobo exit the Hamusuta shop Bobo turns and spots the calm river. After a long day shopping for new socks Bobo decided to take a peaceful swim in the river. He starts to run off but Atomic Underpants stops him quickly.
"Where do you think your going Bobo?" Atomic Underpants questions. "That river might not be as safe as it looks." AU starts to walk toward home. Bobo slowly creeps toward the river, AU not noticing due to the iPod in his ears. Bobo laughs and jumps in.
"I wonder what AU was talking about the river 'not being safe.'" Bobo continues to swim and swims and swims and pretty soon its getting dark. "I better get out and dry off before Atomic notices that Im not there." He starts to swim toward the shore. Suddenly a current catches him and he begins to go downstream. He trys to swim back but the current is to strong. Hes helpless, "Help!" Bobo sqeals. No answer. He shouts again. Still no answer. A swoosh comes from above. Its Atomic Underpants here to save him.
"What do think your doing Bobo! I told you the river is dangerous!" He flies him to the bank of the river and dries him off. "I hope you learned a lessen Bobo, when I tell you somthing listen!" Atomic scolds. Bobo has learned a lesson. Always use the buddy system.

Maddie was very excited about today. It would be her first time actually going to see the River. She had at first considered taking Sinead there but she didn't want anything bad to happen to Sinead in the dangerous currents. "I'll take her when she is hatched and able to listen to me." As the older one, Maddie feels like she must be a responsible big sister.
Maddie looked down into the river and noticed another ham looking back at her. What had Froggy told her, that this was her reflection in the water? She just hoped she didn't look as blurry as she did in the water. Looking at it, she was wondering whether or not she wanted to go for a swim. She was a bit scared of the chance she'd be pulled into a fast current. Still, taking a chance might be fun. Maddie felt so unsure about this.
Maybe if there were other hams around, she wouldn't feel so worried and actually be able to have some fun. She sniffed the air before looking up and around. She didn't know many hams, so she was hoping maybe it was her lucky day.

It was a really really beautiful day. The sky was a clear blue and the sun was shining. Serenity was lounging on a branch of a large beech tree that was close to the water. The wind gently brushed her fur. It was so refreshing.
She gently put a paw into the clear water as it gushed on and on. It felt so good, she gave a big sigh in relaxation. Serenity had half a mind to go and play in the water for awhile, but of course it would make her feathery wings wet and they would take hours to be thoroughly dry so that she could fly again. She enjoyed flying, it was wondeful to feel the wind in her face as she zoomed from place to place. She stared at the water and saw a little fish swim around. She waved and smiled at it.
A butterfly landed on her nose, it was as large as Serenity's whole head. She peered closely at the beautiful creature. She wondered who had such beautiful wings.....She silently wished that she could have as beautiful wings. The butterfly tickled as it was adjusting its position on her nose. Serenity let out a pearl of laughter like the chime of many tiny bells.[17 sentences]

((I'm going to put my ham image up, too)) Maddie's ears perked up, thinking she heard someone or something. She wasn't quite sure what because she'd been so transfixed on what she'd been previously thinking about. If she had heard what she thought she'd heard, that would mean another ham was here. Hopefully she was right and hopefull they would be nice. Taking one more wiff of air, Maddie made up her mind. She should go see what made that noise. ((6 sentences))

Serenity gently let the butterfly on her paw and stretched her paw out into the open air. "Now, go!"She said smiling as she watched the butterfly gently flutter away of into the blue. She waved at it and plopped herself down again. Serenity smiled joyfully. Spring was slowly coming and then the flowers will bloom beautifully.
As the breeze blew her way, she detected another hamu's smell in the air. She tilted her head curiously. The smell was a strange one, not of the ones of her friends. She hadn't met a new hamu for a while. Serenity slowly got up from her place on the branch and took off. She happily flew to the place a brown hamu was standing and a black and brown egg. She smiled and held out her paw.

Maddie looked over from what she'd been just pondering. She noticed a beautiful ham with wings. She'd never seen another ham like her, of course, she didn't know many besides Sinead, her egg. She smiled because the ham seemed friendly. "Hello, my name is Maddie. And this, is my little sister, Sinead. Who are you?" she squeaked happily, sensing a good 'vibe' from this ham. Who knew, maybe they could be friends. ((9 sentences))

"You think so? Wow, thank you very much!" Maddie felt good being called a good big sister. Now she knew she was doing her job right. Then she remembered her reflection in the River. "Do you know if its safe to go swimming in there?" She asked pointing to the River. She wanted to swim there and teach Sinead how to eventually. She was just afraid the water may be too fast or deep.
