On the north west side of the river, the forest opens up to the cliffs. Although very rocky, they're not really all that steep and for the adventerous ham, they could be a lot of fun. They even have some very nifty caves to explore. No one knows what could be hiding in them, however...

On that day the sun was bright and the sky showed blue. Clouds rolled by in the sky, and not a Ham was in site. Not a Ham, but a egg. The egg had a pattern on it like the sky itself, with the blueness shining through the pure clouds. If this Ham when it hatched was to grow wings with the same pattern an flew into the sky, no other would see him. He would be camouflage among the sky. On that rocky cliff the egg sat, seemingly watching the endless space above it's head. Suddenly, the egg started to rock. Then, it rolled to as close as it could get without danger to the edge of the cliff face. It leaned toward the sky, as if listening with a keen ear to the sounds of nature.

Onigiri due to his normaly shy and quiet personality finaly desided to atemt walking by the clifs. He wasent to sure he liked it untill he discovered a fun game. He hoped from rock to rock playing tag with a free wondering fluterby. Onigiri had a fun time playing this game until the sky turned a dark greyish color. Soon his new friend had disapeared in the fog. Onigiri panacked and ran for home. He tryed to be as carefull as posible so he wouldent be blinded by the fog and fall. After ounce again joining up with his friend they found his way home. he ofered to keep to lone fluterby but she said that it wasent nessaserie and that they would soon meet again. Onigiri was confused by what she said and yell out to her " WHAT DO YOU MEEN WE'LL MEAT AGAIN?!" she was to far gone. He hoped that she was right and that the day when they met again would soon come!

Cliff made his way up the steepest hill he had ever seen. He looked up into the sky, it was bright blue and with clouds what looked soo white and pure. The sky seemed to be comming closer to him as he walked up. He felt that soon the clouds would be close enough to tikle him like a feather.
He walked, and walked, and walked, and walked. It seemed like forever, but he was determined to make it too the top. The stories on how great the view was from up there kept him going. He could just imagine it, seeing everything, being higher than the biggest slide in the playground. he really wanted this.
When he began to see that the top of the cliff he started to run. He could feel his heart beating fast in the exileration. When he reached the top he took a second to catch his breath. Then he looked at the view and lost it again, because of it's beauty.

Cliff looked around for the familiar landmarks that lead his way up to the same gorgous spot he came up to before. This time he brang Choco with him to see the view. He turned around to make sure that she was following hehind him.
"Cliff how much longer?" Choco asked as she trotted behind him, trying not to step on him.
"Just alittle more! I promise, it will all be worth it!" He lead her through the same path he took the last time. Step by step by step. Soon he could see where the clouds seemed soo close.
"We are here!"
Choco's breath stoped once she saw the view. She could see everything from here. The shop, the playground, the forests and the river creeking through it. "This place is gorgous Cliff!" She picked him up and lifted him over the side of the cliff so that it looked like he was flying.
"Whee!" he yelled at the top of his lungs. So loud that he could hear his echo bounce off the cliff.

Meanwhile...another HamHam was enjoying the view. Night had fallen and the dark dark sky was breathtaking. Ruby inhaled the sweet dark cool scent of air, eyes closed and a smile on her face. The creamy white moon glowed against the black night.
She was learning to admire the night as well as the day. The night isn't so scary... Ruby shivered just a bit. She was sitting on the plain dirt ground, near the edge of the cliffs on the opposite side from Choco and Cliff. They probably hadn't noticed her.
She felt free, yet isolated. Hamusuta was a great town to live in, but Ruby wanted more than Hamusuta's fun playground, flowing river, and dark forests. She didn't want quiet. She wanted laughter, gossip...friends.
Ruby sighed, hugging her arms after a burst of cold air blew by. "Should I leave yet? I hope Mom's not worried about me... Probably not. She's up to her head in homework and papers. I'll just stay a while longer..."

Cliff looked over to Choco, who had been resting by a tree while reading a book and enjoying the view. Then he looked over to the other side. There was a pretty hamham in a beautiful ruby red dress. He wanted to go over and talk to her, but he was too shy. Instead he took a seat on a rock and glanced over to her every once and a while when she wasn't looking.

However, clever Ruby did notice Cliff's cute glances. She blushed at the fact and decided to be brave by introducing herself. She brushed off specks of dirt on her dress and rose. She remembered Mina talking about other HamHams in the community. Mina said she had already met Choco and Cliff when he was a little egg.
Ruby walked over to the group of rocks where Cliff was sitting. "Hi!" Ruby smiled sweetly and took a seat next to Cliff. She paused, not sure what she wanted to say.
"I haven't met anyone around here... Err.. Hi," she said again awkwardly.

((Um, How about evening, just when the sun will be setting, then both of your roleplays will (sorta) make sence. ^_^))
Cliff blushed when he relised that the HamHam noticed his glancing. He looked down and mummbled. "I am Cliff." He said shyly. Then he took a deep breath and began to be calm, but he still spoke softly. "I haven't met anyham around here either." Then he finnaly looked up at her. "What is your name?" He smiled back at her.

Cliff thought of all the places he had been too. He remembered the flowers in the South Forest the most. "I like picking flowers in the South Forest." He replyed softly. Now watching the beautiful sun set. The sky was now a magenta color which made the clouds look like pink cotton candy. Being this high up made him feel like he could just stick his paws up and take a piece of the cotton candy clouds and eat it with Ruby.

"Picking flowers? Really? I love flowers!" Ruby beamed at Cliff. "I found-" Ruby suddenly hesitated. Should I mentioned my strange flower... Why shouldn't I share my find? "Oh. Umm, I was in the South Forest and I was hunting for berries and I found this gorgeous purple and pink flower." Ruby stared at Cliff, wide-eyed. "It was like one of a kind."
Ruby thought about the sunset and how it was just as beautiful as her flower. "The sunset is lovely." And romantic. Ruby's cheeks turned rosy as her dress.

Cliff imagined how pretty the flower would have been, maybe as pretty as Ruby he thought. Then he turned as red as Ruby did. He looked up and saw her blushing to. He quickly looked back down again and started fitgeting with his red cape.
He spotted a single flower growing beside the rock they were sitting on. He picked it up and handed it to Ruby. "Here." He said with a blushing smile.

Ruby let out a small gasp, staring at Cliff. "Oh, thank you..." Ruby was shocked and secretly pleased. "You're very sweet," Ruby's eyes twinkled. Impulse took hold of Ruby and she pecked him swiftly on the cheek. "This flower will be as important as my first one," Ruby held it firmly in her paw and rose. "I have to go." She started walking backwards. "Oh, it's getting late and my mom will be worried."
"Hope to see you around..soon," Ruby gave Cliff one last smile before heading down.

Cliff watched as Ruby went down the cliff. He stayed at that exact same spot, not knowing what just happened. He felt fuzzy inside and couldn't move. Choco had to be the one to awake him from the trance.
Choco nudged him. "Cliff are you okay? Heellooo, earth to Cliff."
Cliff blushed. "Um-I-I-am okay."
Choco smiled good. She looked at the setting sun. "It seems to be getting dark outside." She picked him up and was about to carry him back own the cliff.
But Cliff interuped. "Let's watch the sun set!" He explaimed and climbed down from her arms. He took a front row seat at the edge of the cliff and stared at the beautiful sunset.
Choco looked at her watch. It was getting late but she knew that nothing was going to move Cliff, and the sunset was beautiful. "Okay, but only for awhile." They watched together until the moon and the stars took over the sky.
