This is the thread that will outline the rules for what character that someone may have. Any questions should be posted as a reply to this thread and will be added to the FAQ as time goes on.
- It is PREFERED that your character is not taken from a popular TV show, movie or book. We would like that he/she is from your own writing but if you truly wish to play a copyrighted character then go ahead.
There is no limit to what race you can be, what anime/manga you are from, or what you can do so have fun with whatever you decide to make.
You can bring in a character from another RP, BUT you will have to edit your character's history to fit the setting of and reduce his/her powers to the level of new characters here (if you are new here). How you do that is up to you.
Each person is limited to THREE (3) characters. Anymore than that is not allowed simply because it gets hard to keep track of them all. Also, if you have more than one character, don't just make a thread for them to play in. That thread would be you talking to yourself and that's not fun at all.
Technology is allowed but discouraged. This is the end of time and it does exist, but often centuries of advancement are missed. The Village takes place in an age we like to call "steam and magic" meaning that there is a mix of both magic and technology, but the technology is primitive and limited in what it can do.
Although you are allowed to choose and make up your own powers, an admin may tell you that your character is too powerful and that you should tone him/her down for better gameplay. Please accept our decisions on this matter.
With that in mind, no one may have an super powerful characters. NO ONE is allowed to have such a being, not even the captain and crew. It makes the game unfair and makes you look like you have a bloated ego.
With both of those in mind, know that you cannot use your character until it has been approved. Crewmembers must approve of characters that you have made to make sure they are not over the top or too powerful, but also to help you with an inconsistencies that may be noticed.
You cannot use any powers that are not explicitly listed in your character profile.
Your character grows as you play, so keep your powers at a bare minimum when you first join. As a player you must earn the right to have more powerful characters by being responsible and sticking around.
