Mvumo felt the cooling rain against his fur, even after the brief storm had passed. Things were going well of late, though he did want to talk to Aadil about their future. Where were they going to live? The cave, while a decent place to live, was not big enough if their family grew larger than just the two of them. Besides, he needed to be in a pride that would shelter them, for Aadil's sake more than anything else.
Idly he wondered when she would return, though he trusted she would be there at any moment for this important talk they had to have.

Aadil idly sat some distance away from Mvumo, her fur damp and clumped together from the earlier rain. Blood stained her maw causing the already dark fur to be stained with a reddish tint, she'd been huntign, with little success. She had gained considerable weight, the advantages from eating on a regular basis, where you could once see her rips there was now a layer of muscle and fat. Although she doesn't look completely like a healthy lioness.
"He's so sweet and kind," she mused softly to herself, standing and starting to pad her way to the last place she saw him. As he came in sight her heart half skipped a beat half tried to tare itself from her chest.
"Hey you!" she called cheerfully.

Mvumo looked up, and his unusually large grin appeared at the sight of Miss Aadil. "The lady returns," the dark brown lion said as he got up to meet her. "I am glad to see you return. I must warn you to avoid a black adolescent lioness with lightning markings on her back. She is most annoying." The lion shook his head. "Luckily, the storm scared her off. As strange as that sounds..." he chuckled softly before saying, "I missed you while you were gone."

She nuzzled against his shoulders lovingly and looked over his entire form, terrified that something might have happened while she was gone.
"Ironic, lightening afraind of lightening," she mused and looked up peering into Mvumo's face. "I missed you to."
"I think the storm will continue later today, just a hunch." She wanted it to rain again the mildew smell of the earth reminded her of her mother and rolling in the mud as a cub.
"I've had so much on my mind," an evil grin spread across her face.

"I hope it does," Mvumo said. It had been a while since he had been able to enjoy such a storm, and he hoped it would last. It made him feel that the Storm God really was protecting him and making sure his life remained well. Mvumo was the last of his pride, as far as he knew.
"And what might you have on your mind today?" he asked, smirking back at her. He did want to have that important talk about the future at some point, but he could tell she was in a mischievious mood, and there would be time for that when they were both ready for the conversation.

"I'm thinking about..cubs and forcing you to make them with me!" she feigned a growl and nd rubbed against his side once again. "I'm really thinking about cubs though, I was talking to this little guy and he was very sweet and intelligent, it was crazy!" The juvenile may have been more intelligent than she was.
She was half tempted to pounce him, she really was in a playful state and wanted to share her excitement, the rain made her happy, but even more Mvumo did.
(I have to finish three aprees, including this one, and then she's got 10.)

Mvumo blinked in surprise. "Cubs?" he asked, his voice nearly a squeak. "I um...would love to have them with you, Miss Aadil. But will we be joining a pride? I worry about what could happen to our cubs if they were born rogues like us."
Mvumo was in quite a good mood, now. He would have felt extremely akward bringing up the subject of cubs, considering he wouldn't be the one actually HAVING cubs. But, since she seemed to really want them, he certainly wasn't going to protest the idea.

Aadil wasn't in it for the cubs, if you get my drift, she was a cat in heat and after all it was summer time. "Sure, cubs. I've already joined the Pridelands, I realize that I would need the protection that it would give." she nodded knowingly.
"You've been thinking about this?" Her heart lept he would want to be a father! Her daydreaming may really come true!

"I am glad to hear it," Mvumo said of Aadil's plan of joining the Pridelands. Confusion and hormones mixed in the lion, though he was too happy to really care about much other than a future course that was set.
"I suppose I shall have to meet the other Pridelanders soon," he said. "Since I will be a part of their pride for as long as you are. And I have been thinking about it, to a certain extent. I understand that when two lions love each other as we do, cubs are always a possibility."

"I will introduce you to those I know," she thought of Mufasa the king and of Danzi, a lion who looked so much like the royal family. She was thrilled at the prospect of a future, of seeing others in the future and knowing many people. She was slowly growing out of her figurative cave, she was allowing others to be near her and allowing herself to be near them.
"I love you more than all the stars and more than you could possibly imagine!"

"Perhaps I cannot," Mvumo said. "But then, you cannot imagine how much I love you, either. I love you more than every raindrop that has ever fallen, or every grain sand in the desert." Sure, he was terrible at romantically expressing his feelings, but just the speaking more than three words was a huge step for him. A step he was willing to take for Aadil.
Now he had to worry about the formal introductions. But Aadil would be with him, right? He didn't have to be as nervous as he felt about that.

The rain started slowly, a few drops falling on the back of Aadil's head sending shivers down her spine. This was her new life, a life without a cave. But, Mvumo is worth leaving for.
"Awww! That's very sweet, how about we start for Pride Rock once the rain subsides?" She did not like the idea of traveling in the rain especially if it might storm. Rain maybe a blessing in the Mistie lands but it was a common occurance to Aadil.

Mvumo looked up at the clouds bringing the life-giving, blessed rain. Then he looked to Aadil and grinned at her. "The Storm God blesses our journey. We will find good fortune on our journey to this Pride Rock after he prepares the way for us."
Rain was common in the Mistweaver lands, and these frequent storms were reminding him of those lands. But he couldn't be homesick for a land of death. It was clear to Mvumo that the Storm God had moved on, blessing his time here with Aadil and the pride he would call his own.

"I can't help but notice your love for rain, I must admit storms terrify me, you'll protect me right?" She stammered out her words, heat rushing to her face as she spoke. It was odd to ask for protection, especially when she really didn't need it from anyone.
She inched closer to Mvumo, her body pressing against his as the first clap of thunder sounded, "promise you will?"

Mvumo was shocked at Aadil's admission. She feared the rain? Then again, the Storm God was a powerful force, and the lightning he brought was a terrifying thing for any lion, even one of the Mistweaver bloodline. Besides, Aadil hadn't heard the stories of hope that came with the storm yet.
"Of course I'll protect you," Mvumo said, relaxing his body against hers and curling his tail around her. "The Storm God protects those of my pride; and you are my pride now, Aadil."
